3. Call for admissions
Initially college does promotion
for admissions. For this it distributes
institute brochures, does
advertisements, use social media,
etc. Later students apply for
admission based on their
performance in Entrance Exam.

4. Short listing of students
Institute shortlists the students
based on their performance in
the entrance exam, academic
performance, work-experience,
extra curricular activities, etc.

5. Call for interview
After screening out their
applications, institute calls the
applicants for Group Discussion
and Personal Interview.

6. Conducting interview
Interviews are conducted at
various locations based on
students location who are called
after being shortlisted.

After the interview, the students

12. 1. Students cancel their admission at the last moment sometimes even a
day before classes begin because of calls from other b-schools either
simply because they rank higher or call from their 1st preference.
2. Dilemma exists even in the mind of students whose names come out in
the waiting list. Whether or not they will be selected. Sometimes they
might withhold their admission in a b-school as they are on the waiting
list of their preferred b-school.
3. Institute faces the problem of refund in a situation where a students
asks for a refund. According to AICTE the amount to be deducted is
Rs.1000/- , But in some cases students asks for a refund a day earlier or
even after the classes begin.
