Parameter Dictionary Database (PDDB) is a web application for collecting
parameter data within Nokia Siemens Networks and storing it in one centralized
location. PDDB is used for specifying consistent interfaces (parameter naming,
data type, value range, default value) between systems developed in different
parts of NSN
NSN network management software uses many data types: alarms, counters,
KPIs, parameters, BTS faults, measurements, cause codes, (+ NE adaptations )
Definitions of this software are called metadata
Metadata for these data types are defined, managed and published using PDDB
3. Parameter Dictionary (PDDB) handles Configuration Management (CM) data
(Parameters)
PDDB provides on-line communication tool between network element project
and NetAct . PDDB is used as a reference in R&D work. PDDB parameter content
defines the interface between NetAct and network elements.
Project Description:
This project is to integrate the Former ALU eNodeB (referred to as LTE-A) into NetAct -> this is a
highly critical project for Nokia and there is heavy market pressure especially from Chinese
customers to deliver the integration as quickly and efficiently as possible. There is three module of
project PM,FM And CM. NetAct Configuration Management (CM) uses PDDB directly in generating
meta data for the applications and in generating database for saving Configuration Management data.
Using PDDB is pre-requisite for doing CM adaptations for NetAct . I am part of CM module.

Role Description :
• Make the server (Nginx) compatible with our own setup which has very less memory foot print
for this GUI .
• Design the different UI module and connector it through TCP socket to C API (TR-181) where
client is in JAVA and server is in C. Front end passes GET and SET request to the server , then the
server sends response to front end as per request. If front end request is for SET operation , server
configure the parameter to CPE (ODU or, IDU ) for given new set parameter value . For GET
request, server gives the current configure data back to CPE(IDU or, ODU) which will be display
on the screen .
Project Description:
WebApp has very less memory(< 20MB) for end to end work. CPE Web-App is a HTML5 + JAVA+ Java
Script based application which shall be accessible via various Internet browsers. This WebApp is
build upon the WebUI App based on TR-181 Protocol. This Project captures IDU and ODU for

antenna and LTE modem providing the LTE broadband access to the network. The CPE indoor unit
(IDU) includes broadband router functionality providing connectivity to various user equipment

Project Description:
• LTTH Controller Webportal is a J2EE web application that makes use MySQL as the back end,
along with Spring MVC & Hibernate framework to provide accessibility to the database.
• The LTTH CPE Controller (LTTH-C) is a (SW) product in the operator network that manages the
LTTH CPE devices (both ODU and IDU). The Controller takes care of the CPE configuration and
fault management, performance monitoring and capacity management, and firmware/SW
updates. The Controller is also in the key role to manage the CPE initial installation and the right
cell (re-)selection for the CPE.
• The LTTH CPE outdoor unit (ODU) includes high-gain beam forming antenna and LTE modem
providing the LTE broadband access to the network. The LTTH CPE indoor unit (IDU) includes
