1. Describe your target audience - If you want to increase conversions, you have to figure out who
exactly is your primary target audience, what they want, what matters to them and what are the
sources of friction for them.
2. What is the basic purpose of your website - Your website is your best online asset. Hence it is
important to have clarity on the purpose of your website. Please list down what type of website you
are looking for. [Examples: A credentials site, E-Commerce Website, Corporate Communication,
Spread messages, raise awareness about a topic, etc.,]
3. What are your company's core values - Core values educate clients and potential customers
about what the company is about and clarify the identity of the company. It is important that the
website reflects your core values to both your employees and target audience.
4. Why are you different / better from your competition - Your website should showcase your value
propistion, a clear statement of offer, your promise to the customer.
5. Style of the website - Describe in few sentences or words what you want your viewers to feel
when they see you site (Examples: Young & Bright, Warm & Comfortable, Calm, Cool & trendy,
professional and savvy, intelligent & structured, humor, reliability, spohisticated, etc.,).
6. Do you have specific company colors that need to be used? Every company has their own specific
colors, that are used in logos and other communication material. To keep the brand image
consistent, your website should reflect those colors.
7. Do you have any other materials that the site needs to match with in some way (brochures, press
materials, etc.,)?
8. Who are your major competitors and what are their websites?
