MUSCLES are the important part of our body.
It gives correct posture and shape of the body.
Muscular activity is in-evitable for the
contraction and relaxation of heart, respiratory
process, physical activity etc.
It weigh about 30% of the total body weight.
Longest muscle is the THIGH MUSCLES.
 Muscles that make voluntary
movements are called
voluntary muscles.
 Muscles that cannot move
according to our will are called
involuntary muscles.
1. STRAITED MUSCLES
2. CARDIAC MUSCLES
3. SMOOTH MUSCLES
 Attached to bones by tendons
 They are also known as voluntary
muscles.
 It is found in HEART.
 It shows contractibility, rhythmicity
and excitability.
 It is found in the inner wall of the
hollow internal organs.
 It is also known as involuntary
muscles.
 Muscles helps in locomotion and
movement.
 It gives shape to our body.
