Advantages And Disadvantages Of Analytics
Background
There are two aspects of an analytics i.e. Discovery and Communication. Discovery is all about
identifying patterns in data. Whereas, Communication provide insights in a meaningful way so that
the decisions can be made effectively to increase sales and make company more efficient in terms of
cost or human resource saving.
Broadly, there are two types of Analytics i.e. Business/Cube Analytics and Predictive Analytics.
Business Analytics is a traditional way where historical measures (revenue, profit, loss etc.)
available are extracted, transformed, modeled and stored for analysis. It is about getting insights on
events that already happened. E.g. Year–on–Year sales report. In the contrary, Predictive analysis
applies data mining and statistics on large volume of data for Forecasting, projecting, and
predicting. E.g. KFC giving combo offer based on prediction of consumer's possible purchase
behavior to increase overall sales. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It gave more power for processing which was a just dream in the past. Now, Petabytes or more Data
can be processed in less time with two different modes of processing i.e. Batch and Real–Time Big
Data Analytics. Batch Analytics provide insights after several hours/days when a query is posed.
Whereas, Real–Time Analytics provides ability to analyze data instantly and concentrate more on
data insights than storage. In batch processing we store data and then analyze. But, in Real–Time
processing we can process data as it is generated and then store only the results we are concerned

Social Media And Its Effects On Real Time
Growing up a teen in the late 90 's, we were just getting into cellphones. Text messaging were new
and most teens did not own a phone. Unlimited data was uncommon. Most families shared a
computer
and usually it was placed in a common area of the home.We went from Instant Messaging on AOL
to
chat rooms, as of late the new form of internet based communication is social media.
Nowadays people from different demographics have access to wireless devices and connectivity to
the
internet at larger scales compared to the early 90 's. We are more connected than ever. Social
media platforms are operating on real time, anyone with internet access can express themselves on
any topic. With the advent of social media, many Americans believe social media is creating
individuals
that lack empathy. This is understandable, since according to several studies such as the one
conducted
at the University of Michigan in which it " found that college students today are 40 percent less
empathetic than they were in 1979" (O 'Brien). Twenge concluding younger generations born after
1980 compared to the previous generations "more Generation Me than Generation We".
One reasonable objection according to, Mark Davis a professor at Ekerd, who has been studying
empathy for the past thirty years disagrees. He feels it 's "inconceivable" to believe we live in a
world
that 's lacking empathy. Davis also feels we need to see more work before we

Logistics In Supply Chain Systems
Logistics is an important part of the supply chain process as it is the phase where products that are
manufactured are packed, stored in warehouse, and transported to the end users when an order is
placed. Logistics deals with lot of data/information about different products, resource, transport, and
warehouse management. With the growth of technology, many devices like RFID, barcode, sensors,
GPS, Telematics etc. have found its use in Logistics resulting in huge amount of data/information
generated from these devices. Information ranging from products available in warehouse to real
time information like where the product is in delivery truck are available which makes Logistics an
ideal place for big data applications. DHL is one such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Predictive analysis can be used to schedule maintenance (predictive maintenance) for the machine.
The data collected regarding the operation/performance of the machine can be compared with the
past data and big data analysis can be used to schedule time for machine maintenance. Using the
data collected, Big data analysis can also be done to predict the life of the machine. This will reduce
the unplanned machine downtime and increase the efficiency of the warehouse. An example of such

The Technology That Enhances Real Time Analysis
Moreover, IPS systems are a great technology that reduces the threats of cyber–attacks. IPS is
responsible for detecting intruders breaking into the network systems, or detecting misuse of
network resources by authorized users. In addition, when a threat is detected, IPS performs an action
in respond to the threat. In such incidents, IPS performs various actions to include sending an alarm
to the administrator, stop the traffic coming from the source address, and/or resetting the
connection.6
Another tool that consolidates the network security of a company is SIEM. SIEM is a technology
that enhances real time analysis of security issues generated by network security tools as IPS and
firewall. SIEM is used to log security data in order to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result, hackers break into the network resources and have access to confidential information,
edit the information or even delete the information. All that and more may happen without the
business management knowledge. 9 Nonetheless, installed malware by hackers may have
commands to damage the systems that the malware runs on. Therefore, a wireless security policies
should be established in defense against cyber–attacks. If a wireless access point is put in place, then
simple security countermeasures should be applied in order to guard the local network from any
possible threats. To secure the network, the wireless access point routers should be setup carefully
where only allowed employees are permitted to have wireless access. To provide more protection to
the business network boundaries, the wireless routers should be setup so that encryption methods
along with Wi–Fi Protected Access are activated.11
For wireless networks, it is recommended that the WPA mode be used or, better yet, the WPA2
mode be used. WAP and WAP2 both provide user authentication services and encrypt data
transferring between a computer and the wireless access point. However, WAP2 is the most
secure.WAP2 consists of two types: WAP2–Personal and WPA2–Enterprise. In WAP2–personal
mode, network administrators provide

Essay On Real Time And Analytics In Health Care
Real–Time and Analytics in Healthcare Introduction Tools used for Real–time analytics address
various issues directly in healthcare through collecting of different information from different
sources at the point of care where it is required in real time. As a result, it brings about benefits that
are actually save lives. The received information from the analysis of colossal volumes of combined
health data offers actionable vision to expand operational efficiency and quality for clinicians
(Kudyda, 2016). This enhanced effectiveness is essential in a healthcare sector that is quickly
shifting from volume–based to value–based. Currently, it is obligatory for physicians and clinicians
to be in a position of identifying and addressing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The doctor can, therefore, attend to each patient based analyzed information from modern devices
(Kudyda, 2016). Additionally, the technology reduces cost and the congestion in hospitals. Data
Analytics Globally, clinicians purpose to attain high–quality outcomes and or belong to
organizations that are incentivized in achieving high–quality scores. However, one of the issues
noted is that clinicians are not in a position to decide, at the point of care, explicitly the appropriate
quality measures that can be used and attain a high score, and what patients have already attained
against the probability to attain a strong score. Thus, Real–time analytics provides a report that
outlines the status of a patient and the essential steps to improve quality, realize amenability and
attain full compensation for services. Data analytics involves the evaluation and interpretation of the
collected raw data. It is an essential process the enable the health care system to qualitatively and
quantitatively the process of their work flow. Data analytics facilitate improvement through analysis
of patient of the population that need outreach calls for health care. The process enables nurses to
understand the stuff required to improve health services (Kudyda, 2016). Evaluating and analyzing
the number of patient and challenges they undergo is important to established critical medication for
patients. Additionally, the hospital can assess the success of their services and

Integrating Data in a Heterogeneous and Real–Time IT Environment
Summary and Evaluation
Technology has changed vastly in the last fifty years. These changes can be seen in many areas such
as airline reservation systems, automated teller machines, mobile phones, the internet, world wide
web and sensor networks. These sources generate a lot of data; heterogeneous data means coming
from different sources. Businesses have focused on automating their processes, and they have
realized that data integration is becoming complicated. Thus, it is important to understand how to
integrate and analyze data in real–time.
In this webinar, speaker Colin White talks about the Integration of data into a heterogeneous
environment as well ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main goal of this real–time data operation intelligence is to eliminate the data warehousing
latencies. By achieving this, the organization can make better decisions hence able to make more
rapid decisions.
The security factor in data warehousing is a main area to focus on. Colin discusses an example of a
company that was highly charged due to not using the fraud detecting system. Thus, the company
faced a $45 million fraud because of poor security. To clarify, two people took $45 Million from an
ATM Scheme; they used two card numbers to steal the money. However, the banks didn't detect the
fraud because their data integration system was inefficient.
Operational intelligence workflow is also discussed in detail with its 3 types of environments. There
are three types of environment; the first one is data warehouse environment, where the data aren't
changing. This is where the data is analyzed because it is at rest. The other two are operating
systems and real–time analysis platforms, where we can make models, analyze data, and make the
analysis. The Analytics and alerts along with the recommendations are shaped by analyzing
Enterprise Data warehouses. Operational dashboard shows what is going on with our business and
what changes we should make. This output is sent to the users via nearby RT operational
dashboards.
Colin lists four options for data integration. There are four approaches of OI; the first one is

Relational Databases : Sap Hana
In an increasingly competitive global landscape, there is no denying the importance of relational
databases to organizations these days. They are a great tool for controlling, analyzing, recording,
storing and monitoring processes and transactions throughout all functional aspects of the
organization. While the benefits provided by relational databases are instrumental to the overall
operation of an organization, traditional databases still have their limitations. This is where SAP
HANA comes in. SAP HANA is probably best described as new form of database that operates as
an in–memory data platform that is capable of processing large amounts of data in real–time. With
its capability to simultaneously handle both transaction processing ... Show more content on

This is perhaps the single attribute SAP HANA is most known for in the industry. Another attribute
that makes HANA so attractive to organizations is its ability to allow IT departments to run
customized application programs on top of HANA itself. This also adds to the level of flexibility
that HANA provides because it does an incredible job of having as few restrictions as possible
associated with it. Before going into further detail about some of the benefits of SAP HANA, it
would be helpful to discuss a little bit of its history and background to an extent.
The idea to create a product such as HANA came to the forefront around early 2009 when SAP
executives were in desperate need of a product that would reinvigorate the entire SAP product line.
As of 2009, SAP had enjoyed very little success with products created in–house and was beginning
to feel the pressure of other competitors in the business such as ORACLE. As a result, SAP decided
to embark on a rigorous plan to create a product that would be in great demand, by way of
addressing customer needs head on, as well as a product that would fend off competition. The task
of overseeing this process was given to then SAP engineer and former executive Vishal Sikka.
Before embarking on this project, SAP already had three different developing teams working on
creating a new database. While these teams

Designing The Efficient Scheduling Methods For Real Time...
Abstract In this research we are presenting the problem of designing the efficient scheduling
methods for real time systems. The real time scheduling problem is nothing but the scheduling
problem in which QoS requirements should be satisfied along with task scheduling. The main
objective of scheduling problem is designing the time and QoS efficient scheduling algorithm to
schedule tasks optimally those are waiting to be served. We presented the literature study on
different existing scheduling policies with its limitations. Therefore in this research, we are
presenting new Dynamic Multilevel Priority (DMP) method of scheduling policy for RTS. As the
name indicates, this method works dynamically and as per the requirement of task scheduling. DMP
algorithm is designed with three different queues of tasks/demands scheduling based on nature of
tasks. In first queue, security/urgency related demands should be proceed with highest priority, in
second queue with second highest priority, regular demands should be proceed, while last queue is
used to serve local non real time demands. In first queue, real time packets processed with highest
priority. Thus this scheduling policy does not hold any demand for longer waiting period and hence
improves the overall QoS performance of RTSs. The practical evaluation of proposed methodology
is done by using UPPAAL tool. We have considered train gate example for evaluation of proposed
scheduling policy. Keyword: Real Time

ABSTRACT
Invasive procedures including chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis in sex–linked diseases
increase the risk of fetal loss. Therefore, Noninvasive fetal gender determination using cell–free
fetal DNA (cffDNA) in maternal plasma may be promising. Fifty pregnant women with gestational
age between sixth to tenth weeks were included. cffDNA were extracted from maternal plasma and
amplified by real time PCR and conventional PCR for detection of SRY, DYS14 and DAZ genes as
specific genetic markers for male–bearing pregnancies. In general, sensitivity and specificity of real
time PCR was better than conventional PCR. However, sensitivity of DYS14 gene and specificity of
SRY gene by real time PCR was equal to those of conventional PCR. Sensitivity of DYS14 gene
was the highest and sensitivity of SRY gene was the lowest. However, combination of the three Y–
chromosome sequences in the diagnosis increased the test accuracy, which is suitable for clinical
application.

Abstract– In the area of association rule mining, generation of frequent patterns from databases is
considered one of the most time intensive activities. The existing algorithms in this area of are
unable to produce output till the very end of execution and hence turn out to be inefficient for real–
time needs. In this project, we utilize BDFS (b) algorithm and explore the search space in stages. By
mining real–time frequent patterns of customer's transactions for e–Shopping application, the future
behaviour of customer can be predicted. Depending on output (i.e. frequent patterns obtained in
form of transaction data), the website will provide applications beneficial for various areas of CRM.

Using Handheld Real Time Ndt Testing
Improving the efficiency of aircraft maintenance through the use of handheld real time NDT testing
Introduction This project will aim to improve the efficiency of maintenance utilising hand held
Non–destructive testing (NDT) in unison with 3D mapping software. NDT is a process of
inspecting, analysing and evaluating materials or components for imperfections without damaging
the component. In the aircraft industry over 80% of all inspections are done by visual checks, not all
defects can been perceived by visual methods. (Colin G Drury et al, 2002, p.6) [7] NDT is the most
economical way of carrying out inspections. (NDT Net Articles, 2013) [3] It is used to locate flaws
and defects on the surface as well as subsurface defects within the material or component.
(American Society of Non Destructive Testing, 2016) [1] It is a way to assure serviceability and
reliability of the part being tested "NDT plays a critical role in maintenance" (NDT Education
Resource Centre, 2014) [5], and why it is used in many different fields such as aircraft, pipelines,
building structures and motor vehicles. (NDT and Its Benefits) [2] One of the main advantages is the
ability to improve maintenance reliability, reduce time, cost and human error. Project aims and
objectives This project will outline ways to combine the benefits of NDT, real time testing of
aircraft materials and components with the utilisation of a 3d printer. This project aims to find a way

Non Blocking Approach For Achieving Reader Writer...
Non–Blocking approach to achieve reader writer synchronization: As we have seen in the blocking
protocols where writers and readers can be blocked by each other to achieve mutual exclusion two
types of delays mechanism affects the tasks: 1. Delays to achieve mutual exclusion of critical
sections by locking the tasks. 2. Delays when a task is preempted by a more urgent system. These
delays don't cause any major problem when the data concerned is not real–time data and tasks
operating on it don't have any hard deadlines. But in real–time scenarios the data structure may
contain time dependent data which can't accept the delays due to blocking protocols. For ex:
consider the case of writer writing periodically, i.e. every millisecond, the current time into a data
structure. Now if a reader reading this data–structure has to be preempted by a higher priority task
which in turns blocks the data structure and subsequently any write on it, the data structure will
become inconsistent. When the reader will resume its operation, it will not get the current time but
the time at which writer was interrupted. This causes a need to come–up with a non–blocking
protocol for inter–task communication in hard real–time systems. This section describes on such
system along with its underlying architecture which uses a non– blocking protocol which supports
one reader and multiple writers. System architecture : Our system consists of set of discreet nodes,
each containing a CPU, memory,

Is Time Objective, Subjective, Real, Or Unreal?
Is time objective, subjective, real, or unreal?
Time is subjective, but real. The most direct knowledge we have of time is subjective. Time is a
continuous process, it involves a sense of passage. The very essence of time as most directly, most
concretely experienced, is the continuous unbroken passage of existence.
According to Kant, time underlies all intuitions, as it is a singular unified thing. It is composed of
many moments strung together like a movie reel. But that doesn't mean that people don't perceive
time differently. Time seems to slow to a crawl or fly by before we know it. The way we experience
this continuous passage varies from person to person and within the singular person. If every person
perceives time differently, then this means that our concrete actual experience of this passage is
subjective and private rather than shared and experienced the same way with the entire public. It is
just this quintessential, subjective character of time that is completely ignored by what we refer to as
measured time. Although measured time removes us from the subjective variability of time as
directly experienced, it can be referred to as objective, real time. But this is not the time that we
experience. This totally abstract, objective version of time breaks down the continuous flow of its
immediate experience and separates it into artificial, imagined entities (seconds, minutes, hours,
days, months, years, etc.). We know that our mind cannot perceive the smallest

Real Estate Prices Will Not Rebound Any Time Soon Essay
Real estate prices will not rebound any time soon. Housing is cyclical and we had a tremendous 8
year cycle which produced 150% appreciation between 1997 and 2005. This cycle was extended
past its natural course through unprecedented low mortgage rates which bottomed at 4% for
"variable" rates that were fixed for 3 or 5 years. Also contributing to the boom were loosened
lending rules such as "interest only" loans which keep the payments artificially low and "stated
income" loans which bypass income verification, making loans available to people who would
normally not qualify. In my home area of Southern California, the prior down cycle also
coincidentally lasted 8 years, starting in 1989, bottoming in 1995, and rebounding in 1997, causing
20% haircuts from top to bottom. These cycles always go through the same phases: greed, denial,
fear, pain and resolution. First speculators disappear, prices become stagnant, and houses stay on the
market. "For sale" signs creep up as demand vanishes and sellers sit on their houses longer, creating
a greater supply and putting more downward pricing pressure. Sellers reduce their asking prices,
builders offer special incentives. The inventory builds up, desperate sellers discount further, some
default on their payments, and the repossession phase starts. Banks, who are not in the business of
owning homes, dump them at or below what is owned on the mortgage. They tighten lending
standards as they no longer want marginal buyers, reducing

The Wireless Channel Is Different And Much More...
The wireless channel is different and much more unpredictable than the wire line channel because of
factors such as multipath and shadow fading, Doppler shift, and time dispersion or delay spread.
These factors are all related to variability introduced by mobility of the user and the wide range of
environmental conditions that are encountered as a result.
(i) Multipath Delay Spread
The multipath delay spread is the time dispersion characteristic of the channel. Each multipath
component is typically associated with different time delay and attenuation. The shortest of which is
the LOS path. The root mean square delay spread in multipath delay is denoted by τ_d and the
maximum spread in frequency due to Doppler shift, f_m.
(ii) Coherence Bandwidth
The coherence bandwidth, is a range of frequencies over which two frequency components have a
strong potential for amplitude correlation, and is used to define whether the channel fading is flat or
frequency selective.
(iii) Coherence Time
The coherence time, T_c describes the expected time duration over which the impulse response of
the channel stays relatively invariant or correlated. The coherence time is approximately inversely
proportional to Doppler spread (Sklar, 1997).
(iv) Admissions Control
A probabilistic admissions control protocol was employed to ensure sufficient transmission time is
reserved to accommodate an estimated number of retransmissions. The transmission time reserved
for retransmissions will vary

Flood Stories: Describe The Real Time Of Noah
1. Describe the Real Time and Real Space surrounding Noah.
The Real Time of Noah is a very long time in which no one knows the actual time (p 138–140).
However, we get a glimpse of how long it is because Jesus's second coming is compared to the days
of Noah. Richter talks about during this time the world has had enough time to become completely
corrupted and turn away from God. This takes awhile for the entire world to go south, how long
specifically is unknown. The second coming of Jesus is the same in which the earth will have
enough time to become corrupt and turn away from God just like the time before Noah. The Real
Space of Noah describes that the story takes place in Mesopotamia and the surrounding area (p 140–
146). This is evident mainly because this area is known for flooding, and there are many flood
stories that come from this area. One specific tale is the Gilgamesh Epic which is the most well
known story. Most of the flood stories involve a greater being ridding themselves of humanity by a
great flood. These stories are coincidentally very similar to the biblical narrative of Noah.

Phases of Process Analysis
Process analysis is the systematic breakdown of the phases of a process. The first piece of the
process is the initiation phase, where the business identified a problem in the human resources (HR)
system. A proposal to develop software for the real–time integration of the HR system with multiple
other systems of record was submitted to solve the problem. After the business approves the
proposal, the next part of the process is system concept development. This phase of the software
development life cycle (SDLC) involves collecting system boundary documentation that identifies
the scope of the system, conducting a feasibility study and cost/benefit analysis, and developing a
risk management plan (Blaha & Rumbaugh, 2005).
The business requirement is for an automated analysis of HR data and real–time identity integration
between numerous systems. Automation adds value to the business, saves time and manpower, and
makes HR data more accurate. While the implementation of a real–time system represents a
considerable investment for the business, it will be more cost–efficient since it would drastically
reduce delays incurred from manually updating information in each system. A real–time system also
helps the business achieve certain government regulation requirements and prevent significant audit
findings.
The first step in the implementation of a real–time system is to gather as much information as
possible. All data from the current HR system should be transferred to the new

Machine-to-Machine Technology and Analytics
Introduction
On the horizon of big data, is "an ecosystem of solutions" that uses embedded devices to facilitate
real–time analysis of events and data among the "Internet of Things" . Machine–to–Machine
technology and analytics is the promising future of the big data era. Its exponential growth and
advancement promises a plethora of solutions and new ideas, but as with all innovations, it will also
create a wave of new issues, problems and complications that, given its scale, magnitude and speed
of development will certainly challenge as much as it benefits the legal industry.
What is M2M & IoT?
Machine to Machine (M2M) is a broad label that can be used to describe any technology that
enables networked devices to exchange information and perform actions without the manual
assistance of humans. Products built with M2M communication capabilities are often marketed to
end–users as being "smart" . The interconnection between "smart" objects and the way we interact
in the environment is described as the Internet of Things.
How does it work?
Sensors (which are devices with processor, memory, storage, inputs and outputs, OS and software
capabilities that gather and/or disseminate data on just about anything ), are attached to objects, and
the objects' identities, state or state of surroundings become capable of being relayed to an Internet
connected IT structure. The sensors relay data to the outside world through local area and wide area,

with high mechanical strength (100 times stronger than Steel), ultra–light weight (1/6th the weight
of steel) and exhibit excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. Most importantly, CNTs have the
ability to effectively cross biological barriers and cellular membrane allowing their use in a wide
spectrum of biomedical applications such as bio–imaging, disease targeting and the delivery of
therapeutic molecules, genes or drugs.
Currently, advances in the biomedical applications of CNTs are being hindered by many
uncertainties regarding their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our approach relies on using the insulating nature of the cellular plasma membrane to monitor and
analyze the cellular behavior of human lung epithelial cells in real time. Using an electrical cell
impedance sensing (ECIS) device, we can measure and quantify changes in the cellular behavior,
morphology, interactions in real time. These measurements will be further analyzed to derive
structure–function relations that correlates the cellular mechanisms with the cytotoxic and apoptotic
events associated with CNTs exposure in real time.
The ECIS device, in principle, is an electrolytic circuit. It measures the changes in resistance value
between an active electrode where the cells are attached and a counter electrode using the growth
media as an electrolyte (figure 1). Once the cells are seeded on the ECIS gold electrodes the current
is forced to flow either below, between or through the cells, thus providing measurement of three
different parameters; barrier function (Rb), cell membrane capacitance (Cm) and the height between
cells and electrodes (h). These parameters are are further analyzed and correlated to many cellular
properties such as shape, morphology, attachment, size, cellular connections (tight and gap
junctions), cell membrane integrity and many others.
By combining the standard cell based cytotoxicity assays with ECIS technique, we were able to
study and analyze the underlying cellular

MDA is an approach to understanding games– one which attempts to bridge the gap between game
design and development, game criticism and technical game research. During my college years I
also presented a seminar on "RT–LINUX" and "RFID Technology". I did my group project with
other two student based on RFID on "Library Automation using RFID". The application automates
various manual repetitive functions using RFID reader and tag thereby making the librarians work
easier, faster and more efficient. The web application stores the database and provides
functionalities such as browsing, viewing, selecting, updating due dates and levy fines where
applicable. The web application had advanced features that would enable faculty to reserve a
particular book and also get an update on when the book would be available for circulation.
Misplaced books would be scanned by a bot and returned to its rightful place by librarian. In
essence it increases efficiency to track, manage and locate books, tag can be effectively read under
all conditions unlike a barcode, and it can also be combined with the barcode technology. The
project is based on ASP.NET framework and C#.NET programming using SQL server as DBMS. I

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Real Time System
Advantages of Real Time Systems: When it comes to the benefits and drawbacks stage, there are
several advantages of real time systems. First of all, while using all the sources and maintaining all
devices active, real time systems helps to give maximum consumption of the systems and enable us
much more output. In addition to these systems, it is not observed little or no down time. Thus, they
enable to servers to use them which are hosted in order to give maximum output of hosting
organizations. Moreover, it provides immediate updating of its databases and very quick responses
to its user inquiries (Ben–Ari, M, 1990). Secondly, real time systems can be taken into consideration

First of all, in these systems, there tasks are restricted and limited tasks are run simultaneously.
Concentration of real time systems are on several applications in order to avoid mistakes and rest of
the tasks have to wait. In addition to this drawback, sometimes it is unpredictable and there is not
any time restriction in order to show how much the waiting tasks should wait (Liu, Jane W.S.,
2000). Second disadvantage is that, a lot of resources are used by real time systems which are not
adequate and very expensive. In addition, real time systems are overpriced due to the resources that
they need in order to work. Thirdly, the real time systems run several tasks and keep focus on them.
This is not a good solution for these systems which use plenty of multi–threading due to weak
thread priority (Martin, James, 1965). Fourth problem is that, real time systems use different and
complex algorithms in order to reach to the target level and desired output. The problem is that this
kind of complex algorithms are difficult for designers in order write. So, the designers have to write
adequate program for this kind of systems which is not easy. In addition, real time systems have to
make clear its interrupt signals and device drivers in order to respond quickly to interrupts. As the
fifth problem, it is observed that, there are low priority tasks which do not get enough time in order
to run. The problem is that, the real

The core objectives of SPC are to provide productivity and quality information about production
processes in real–time. The principles of SPC take into account the following: All processes have
unique characteristics or hidden personalities that are inherent within them Data analysis provides in
depth understanding of process variations and identifies improvement opportunities Success in real–
time SPC requires that measurement data be accurate, and collected in a timely manner. Various
gauging devices are used to ensure that a specific measurement is taken and recorded. SPC software
programs collect and store this data, analyzing it and creating graphs instantaneously. As a factory
floor application, that can be extended up to corporate offices and throughout the enterprise, SPC
software delivers vital quality data upstream to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). By
integrating live production data into enterprise–wise systems, SPC plays a vital role in the business'
continuous improvement strategy. SPC solutions are designed to allow companies to plan and

First person shooters, such as Call of Duty, allow individuals to live out stressful, usually military in
nature, situations, without personal harm. If there is an interest, there is a game associated with it
somewhere on the market.
Challenge is the source of a term called "raging". A player will "rage quit," that is, quit the game in a
fit of rage, if the challenge is too difficult, however, challenge is necessary to achieving a sense of
accomplishment. People enjoy challenges for different reasons. Some like to brag about their feats,
others gain a feeling of control over problems they have solved, while still others enjoy simply
knowing what they are capable of. Most computer or video games include two types of challenge:
Player versus environment, and player versus player. In player versus environment, the focus is to
defeat the computer, which is programmed to fight back with algorithms. The computer does not
think, it only does. After figuring out how to beat the computer, the game can become boring. Player
versus player creates an interesting confrontation because the person on the other side can make
unpredictable moves(decisions). Whether the player is satisfied with defeating a program or another
person, the challenge is readily available to either party.
Just as in traditional sports, gaming is social. When attending a sporting event, people will bring
their families and friends along, enjoying the camaraderie of cheering for their favorite team

Mission Cisco's mission is to solve their customer's most important business challenges by
delivering intelligent networks and technology architectures built on integrated products, services,
and software platforms. They accomplish this by making everything thing do about the customer.
Strategy John Chambers was hired in 1991 and quickly became CEO of the company in 1995. He
came up with a plan that would help the company work more efficiently and effectively. This plan
consisted of four steps: First, he assembled a broad product line so that Cisco could serve as one–

problems. By making it so that they could input data into the database, they were able to diagnose
their own problems and fix them from home. Doing this contributed a lot to Cisco's success because
customers new that if they needed a problem solved, they wouldn't have to wait around for days and
sometimes even weeks to get help.
Weaknesses Peter Solvik joined the Cisco team in January 1993 as their new CIO. He saw that there
were two challenges that needed to be addressed in the company. First, Cisco's Information
Technology department was too traditional in the sense that it was viewed as a cost center that
reported through the Finance department, and it was too internally oriented. There were three ways
that he approached this: The IT–reporting relationship was changed from Accounting to Customer
Advocacy, the IT budget pertaining to the functions were returned to the functions leaving just a
small portion left in General and Administrative expense, and the central IT steering committee was
disbanded and replaced with a structure where IT investment decisions on application projects were

Web Conferencing : A Type Of Real Time Communication
Web conferencing is a type of real–time communication that allows its participants to interact with
each other via the internet. Users can access the conference from their own personal devices, in the
comfort of their own homes or offices. These services allow different people in several locations
around the world to connect to online meetings. These conferences comprise of audio delivery,
through the use of voice over internet protocol (VoIP) tools; web components, such as sharing
information online by means of documents and applications; and usually video, where all
participants can view the same desktop screen on their own personal browsers.[1] Web
conferencing, which differs only slightly from exclusive instant message, video, and audio
conferencing, is a somewhat broad term that is used to categorize different forms of collaborative
meetings. Sessions known as webinars, for example, meet the criteria. Webinars are live–streamed
seminars conducted on the internet that involve hosts sharing content with a wide variety of
interacting viewers.[2] Whether used for collaboration between students and teachers involved in
online schooling or coworkers cooperating on a business–related project, web conferencing is a

cybercrimes are growing at perturbing pace. At the very definition of it, cybercrimes get engendered
by capitalizing on threats and exploitation of vulnerabilities. However, recent history reveals that
such crimes often come with surprises and seldom follow the trends. This puts the defense systems
behind in the race, because of their inability to identify new patters of cybercrime and to ameliorate
to the required levels of security. This paper visualizes the empowerment of security systems
through real–time data mining by the virtue of which these systems will be able to dynamically
identify patterns of cybercrimes. This will help those security systems stepping up their defense
capabilities, while adapting to the required levels posed by newly germinating patterns. In order to
confine within scope of this paper, the application of this approach is being discussed in the context
of selected scenarios of cybercrime.

Noah's Real Time Bible
CHAPTER SIX:
Describe the Real Time and Real Space surrounding Noah. Noah's real time cannot be determined,
but during Noah's time humanity civilized, developed, deteriorated and decayed. Noah's time was
compared to the second coming of Jesus, because in the days of Noah, humanity was corrupt and
the only option was to wash the world clean. The time between Adam and Noah is unsure but it is
not a few years because of the few chapters between their stories.
Noah's real space is set in Mesopotamia. This is the area that most historians identify as the
birthplace of civilization, and the area win which the Bible reports that humanity multiplied and
expanded after Eden. The epic of Gilgamesh also records the flood and reports that it took place in
Mesopotamia.

In what ways is His Kingdom of Heaven different than what was expected?
Jesus fulfilled the expectations of the coming Messiah by being of the line of Jesse. Jesus fulfilled

The kingdom of Heaven is different than what we expected in that, with Jesus' entry into the world,
the kingdom is already here, and with Jesus' second coming all will be restored. We live in the

However, we also wait the resurrection of our bodies when the flesh is also "born again". Physical

How Dynamic Real Time Ticket Pricing?
Advancements in technology have allowed firms to engage in more efficient pricing mechanisms,
especially in the face of demand uncertainty. Beginning in the 1980s, airlines started implementing
dynamic pricing, utilizing what is commonly known as yield management or revenue management
systems. Airlines engaged in intra–firm price dispersion, selling buckets of seats at different prices.
This sort of pricing mechanism has been shown to be effective in increasing profits in the face of
aggregate demand uncertainty. Following in the footsteps of the airlines, several other industries
have also come to engage in dynamic price discrimination. These include industries with varying
degrees of competitiveness, such as hotels, sports, performing arts, and retail stores. With more
recent advancements in technology, we have seen firms able to engage in more dynamic real time or
responsive pricing. This paper adds to the literature by examining how dynamic real time ticket
pricing can be more efficient then the static pricing mechanisms that have previously been studied.
The majority of the literature that has analyzed dynamic pricing mechanisms has emphasized its use
in the airline industry. cite{stavins2001} examine how airline price dispersion increases with
competition. Similarly, cite{borenstein1995} find that there is larger price dispersion on more
competitive flight routes. cite{mcafee2006} conduct an empirical analysis of airline pricing through

products and services that the company produces in order to believe in the company. A company's
culture defines how the team interacts in the organization and the outside world, therefore it is
critical to find out what's the culture is because one day, it will be my DNA. A great company
culture also attracts great partners, which creates success. People will want to do business with you
because of what you believe in and what you stand for, not just the products alone.
The last important characteristic is a company's environment. A company is a second home to its

Child's Real Time Referential Processing Development
Introduction Language processing has been a largely studied area of research over the past _ years.
More recently, studies have looked into real–time referential processing abilities in children in order
to understand how processing works as well as what contributes to levels of efficiency. Some factors
that effect proficiency of this ability includes exposure to infant–directed speech, onset of exposure
to first language, socioeconomic status, as well as various individual differences such as language
impairments and/or deafness. This paper strives to collect supporting ideas of what factors
contribute to a child's real time referential processing development. Exposure to Language In some

The findings support that experiencing language fosters development of vocabulary through
positively influenced processing efficiency. It has also been seen that children from higher
socioeconomic status families show greater interaction and exposure to language which leads to
larger vocabularies as well as efficient real–time processing (Fernald, A., Marchman, V. A., &
Weisleder, A., 2013). Ultimately, children who are more exposed to speech are able to interpret
words, create mental lexicon representations leading them to be able to familiarize with words
quicker and with better accuracy during speech in real–time. This ability later shows rapid growth in
vocabulary. (Weisleder et al., 2013) The looking–while–listening test is a good resource, however in
some cases this test cannot be used. Such reasons arise in the assessment of deaf children that
heavily rely on ASL signs as their primary tool for communication. Spoken language learning
processes require visual and auditory modalities where as comprehension and processing of sign
language requires visual attention to real world referents as well as attention to visual linguistic
signs (Lieberman et al., 2015). Lieberman et al. (2015) at the University of California looked at real
time processing in ASL signs and finds evidence to support that when deaf children are exposed to
ASL from birth, they are developing sub lexical features within their

Cruise Control : A Real Time Automation
Introduction
Cruise control is a real–time automation feature that is found on almost every American car. Without
cruise control, long road trips would be more taxing and would probably remarkably increase the
number of tickets issued by police officers. Cruise control is more common in the USA than the rest
of the world because the roads in America are generally bigger and straighter, and destinations are
farther apart. [howstuffworks]
Cruise control in some form or the other has been around for more than a century but initially speed
control was achieved on automobiles using a centrifugal governor which was invented for the steam
engine in the 1700s. The 'modern cruise control' as we know it today was invented by Ralph R.
Teetor. Out of frustration of travelling beside his lawyer, Mr. Teetor's invention aimed to "assist an
automobile drive in maintaining the speed of the vehicle not in excess of a pre–determined speed"
[Ralph, 1948].
With the number of cars increasing day by day on the road, basic cruise control has become less
useful and has evolved over the years instead of going obsolete. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), a
technology developed in 1991 by William Chundrlik and Pamela Labuhn at General Motors,
includes the ability to automatically reduce the speed of the car when it senses traffic up ahead.
ACC has already been introduced to the luxury line of cars and studies have shown that it makes
driving even more simpler and less stressful. [business insider]

Real-Time Analysis
Solution to the Problem An innovative solution to combat this issue is to have real–time monitoring
for athletes deemed high risk. This may be done by creating a synthetic shirt, which is currently
worn by many athletes during activity already, that has three EKG leads and a telemetry unit built in
the material. It would be imperative to have the leads, wires, and telemetry streamlined to reduce
bulkiness, especially since the device would be worn under pads in sports like football and hockey.
A second step would be to develop a smart phone application that can wirelessly monitor each
player's cardiac rhythm by a trained sideline medical professional. This application would have
real–time analysis monitoring for a concerning rhythm that ... Show more content on

Historically, when SCA does occur, the most successful outcomes happen when there is early
implementation of defibrillation attempts and advanced cardiac life support, including advanced
airways, cardiac stimulating medications, and post–cardiac arrest hypothermia protocols (Piper &
Stainsby, 2013). In other words, there is only a short window of opportunity to initiate life saving
measures before irreversible damage occurs to the cardiac muscle.
Additionally, having the telemedicine option provides immediate medical consultation in areas
where resources are limited. Often, best practice methods take time to be adopted due to skepticism
of the change, with rural areas traditionally lagging the most. The telemedicine provider can be
trained based on the latest research, essentially bringing the top experts to the scene of the event.
The biggest disadvantage would be the large monetary costs of the start–up. Research and
development of the EKG shirt and of the smart phone application, distribution of the product, hiring
telemedicine providers, and implementing an effective marketing campaign are some of the obvious
major costs. One could argue that the relatively low estimated incidence rate would not justify the
overall monetary cost. Unfortunately, the costs would project past the

The Advantages Of Medical Sensor Networks
Medical Sensor Networks have unique constrictions as compared to conventional networks making
the execution of security measures impractical. Medical Sensor Networks aspire to develop the
breathing healthcare and monitoring services, particularly for the aged people, kids and persistently
ill.
There are numerous advantages accomplished with Medical Sensor Networks. To commence with,
remote monitoring potential is the foremost advantage of MSN. With remote monitoring, the
recognition of urgent situations for menace patients will become simple and the people with distinct
degrees of processes and physical immobility will be facilitated to have a more sovereign and
trouble–free life. The small kids and offspring will also be concerned for in a more protected way
while their blood relations are away. The individual care givers reliability will be reduced.
In Medical Sensor Networks applications, a real time is really a soft real time system, in which
delay is allowed to some extent (Kang G.Shin & Parameswaran Ramanathan 1994). Recognizing
crisis situations like heart attacks or unexpected fall down in a small amount of time will be

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Analytics

  • 1. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Analytics Background There are two aspects of an analytics i.e. Discovery and Communication. Discovery is all about identifying patterns in data. Whereas, Communication provide insights in a meaningful way so that the decisions can be made effectively to increase sales and make company more efficient in terms of cost or human resource saving. Broadly, there are two types of Analytics i.e. Business/Cube Analytics and Predictive Analytics. Business Analytics is a traditional way where historical measures (revenue, profit, loss etc.) available are extracted, transformed, modeled and stored for analysis. It is about getting insights on events that already happened. E.g. Year–on–Year sales report. In the contrary, Predictive analysis applies data mining and statistics on large volume of data for Forecasting, projecting, and predicting. E.g. KFC giving combo offer based on prediction of consumer's possible purchase behavior to increase overall sales. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now, Petabytes or more Data can be processed in less time with two different modes of processing i.e. Batch and Real–Time Big Data Analytics. Batch Analytics provide insights after several hours/days when a query is posed. Whereas, Real–Time Analytics provides ability to analyze data instantly and concentrate more on data insights than storage. In batch processing we store data and then analyze. But, in Real–Time processing we can process data as it is generated and then store only the results we are concerned ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Social Media And Its Effects On Real Time Growing up a teen in the late 90 's, we were just getting into cellphones. Text messaging were new and most teens did not own a phone. Unlimited data was uncommon. Most families shared a computer and usually it was placed in a common area of the home.We went from Instant Messaging on AOL to chat rooms, as of late the new form of internet based communication is social media. Nowadays people from different demographics have access to wireless devices and connectivity to the internet at larger scales compared to the early 90 's. We are more connected than ever. Social media platforms are operating on real time, anyone with internet access can express themselves on any topic. With the advent of social media, many Americans believe social media is creating individuals that lack empathy. This is understandable, since according to several studies such as the one conducted at the University of Michigan in which it " found that college students today are 40 percent less empathetic than they were in 1979" (O 'Brien). Twenge concluding younger generations born after 1980 compared to the previous generations "more Generation Me than Generation We". One reasonable objection according to, Mark Davis a professor at Ekerd, who has been studying empathy for the past thirty years disagrees. He feels it 's "inconceivable" to believe we live in a world that 's lacking empathy. Davis also feels we need to see more work before we

Logistics In Supply Chain Systems Logistics is an important part of the supply chain process as it is the phase where products that are manufactured are packed, stored in warehouse, and transported to the end users when an order is placed. Logistics deals with lot of data/information about different products, resource, transport, and warehouse management. With the growth of technology, many devices like RFID, barcode, sensors, GPS, Telematics etc. have found its use in Logistics resulting in huge amount of data/information generated from these devices. Information ranging from products available in warehouse to real time information like where the product is in delivery truck are available which makes Logistics an ideal place for big data applications. • 5. The Technology That Enhances Real Time Analysis Moreover, IPS systems are a great technology that reduces the threats of cyber–attacks. IPS is responsible for detecting intruders breaking into the network systems, or detecting misuse of network resources by authorized users. In addition, when a threat is detected, IPS performs an action in respond to the threat. In such incidents, IPS performs various actions to include sending an alarm to the administrator, stop the traffic coming from the source address, and/or resetting the connection.6 Another tool that consolidates the network security of a company is SIEM. SIEM is a technology that enhances real time analysis of security issues generated by network security tools as IPS and firewall. SIEM is used to log security data in order to ... All that and more may happen without the business management knowledge. 9 Nonetheless, installed malware by hackers may have commands to damage the systems that the malware runs on. Therefore, a wireless security policies should be established in defense against cyber–attacks. If a wireless access point is put in place, then simple security countermeasures should be applied in order to guard the local network from any possible threats. To secure the network, the wireless access point routers should be setup carefully where only allowed employees are permitted to have wireless access. To provide more protection to the business network boundaries, the wireless routers should be setup so that encryption methods along with Wi–Fi Protected Access are activated.11 For wireless networks, it is recommended that the WPA mode be used or, better yet, the WPA2 mode be used. WAP and WAP2 both provide user authentication services and encrypt data transferring between a computer and the wireless access point. However, WAP2 is the most secure.WAP2 consists of two types: WAP2–Personal and WPA2–Enterprise. In WAP2–personal mode, network administrators provide ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay On Real Time And Analytics In Health Care Real–Time and Analytics in Healthcare Introduction Tools used for Real–time analytics address various issues directly in healthcare through collecting of different information from different sources at the point of care where it is required in real time. As a result, it brings about benefits that are actually save lives. The received information from the analysis of colossal volumes of combined health data offers actionable vision to expand operational efficiency and quality for clinicians (Kudyda, 2016). This enhanced effectiveness is essential in a healthcare sector that is quickly shifting from volume–based to value–based. Currently, it is obligatory for physicians and clinicians to be in a position of identifying and addressing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Data Analytics Globally, clinicians purpose to attain high–quality outcomes and or belong to organizations that are incentivized in achieving high–quality scores. However, one of the issues noted is that clinicians are not in a position to decide, at the point of care, explicitly the appropriate quality measures that can be used and attain a high score, and what patients have already attained against the probability to attain a strong score. Thus, Real–time analytics provides a report that outlines the status of a patient and the essential steps to improve quality, realize amenability and attain full compensation for services. Data analytics involves the evaluation and interpretation of the collected raw data. It is an essential process the enable the health care system to qualitatively and quantitatively the process of their work flow. Data analytics facilitate improvement through analysis of patient of the population that need outreach calls for health care. Webinars Reports Integrating Data in a Heterogeneous and Real–Time IT Environment Summary and Evaluation Technology has changed vastly in the last fifty years. These changes can be seen in many areas such as airline reservation systems, automated teller machines, mobile phones, the internet, world wide web and sensor networks. These sources generate a lot of data; heterogeneous data means coming from different sources. Businesses have focused on automating their processes, and they have realized that data integration is becoming complicated. Thus, it is important to understand how to integrate and analyze data in real–time. In this webinar, speaker Colin White talks about the Integration of data into a heterogeneous environment as well ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The main goal of this real–time data operation intelligence is to eliminate the data warehousing latencies. By achieving this, the organization can make better decisions hence able to make more rapid decisions. The security factor in data warehousing is a main area to focus on. Colin discusses an example of a company that was highly charged due to not using the fraud detecting system. Thus, the company faced a $45 million fraud because of poor security. To clarify, two people took $45 Million from an ATM Scheme; they used two card numbers to steal the money. However, the banks didn't detect the fraud because their data integration system was inefficient. Operational intelligence workflow is also discussed in detail with its 3 types of environments. There are three types of environment; the first one is data warehouse environment, where the data aren't changing. This is where the data is analyzed because it is at rest. The other two are operating systems and real–time analysis platforms, where we can make models, analyze data, and make the analysis. The Analytics and alerts along with the recommendations are shaped by analyzing Enterprise Data warehouses. Operational dashboard shows what is going on with our business and what changes we should make. This output is sent to the users via nearby RT operational dashboards. • 8. Relational Databases : Sap Hana In an increasingly competitive global landscape, there is no denying the importance of relational databases to organizations these days. They are a great tool for controlling, analyzing, recording, storing and monitoring processes and transactions throughout all functional aspects of the organization. While the benefits provided by relational databases are instrumental to the overall operation of an organization, traditional databases still have their limitations. This is where SAP HANA comes in. SAP HANA is probably best described as new form of database that operates as an in–memory data platform that is capable of processing large amounts of data in real–time. With its capability to simultaneously handle both transaction processing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is perhaps the single attribute SAP HANA is most known for in the industry. Another attribute that makes HANA so attractive to organizations is its ability to allow IT departments to run customized application programs on top of HANA itself. This also adds to the level of flexibility that HANA provides because it does an incredible job of having as few restrictions as possible associated with it. Before going into further detail about some of the benefits of SAP HANA, it would be helpful to discuss a little bit of its history and background to an extent. The idea to create a product such as HANA came to the forefront around early 2009 when SAP executives were in desperate need of a product that would reinvigorate the entire SAP product line. As of 2009, SAP had enjoyed very little success with products created in–house and was beginning to feel the pressure of other competitors in the business such as ORACLE. As a result, SAP decided to embark on a rigorous plan to create a product that would be in great demand, by way of addressing customer needs head on, as well as a product that would fend off competition. The task of overseeing this process was given to then SAP engineer and former executive Vishal Sikka. Before embarking on this project, SAP already had three different developing teams working on creating a new database. While these teams ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Designing The Efficient Scheduling Methods For Real Time... Abstract In this research we are presenting the problem of designing the efficient scheduling methods for real time systems. The real time scheduling problem is nothing but the scheduling problem in which QoS requirements should be satisfied along with task scheduling. The main objective of scheduling problem is designing the time and QoS efficient scheduling algorithm to schedule tasks optimally those are waiting to be served. We presented the literature study on different existing scheduling policies with its limitations. Therefore in this research, we are presenting new Dynamic Multilevel Priority (DMP) method of scheduling policy for RTS. As the name indicates, this method works dynamically and as per the requirement of task scheduling. DMP algorithm is designed with three different queues of tasks/demands scheduling based on nature of tasks. In first queue, security/urgency related demands should be proceed with highest priority, in second queue with second highest priority, regular demands should be proceed, while last queue is used to serve local non real time demands. In first queue, real time packets processed with highest priority. Therefore, Noninvasive fetal gender determination using cell–free fetal DNA (cffDNA) in maternal plasma may be promising. Fifty pregnant women with gestational age between sixth to tenth weeks were included. cffDNA were extracted from maternal plasma and amplified by real time PCR and conventional PCR for detection of SRY, DYS14 and DAZ genes as specific genetic markers for male–bearing pregnancies. In general, sensitivity and specificity of real time PCR was better than conventional PCR. However, sensitivity of DYS14 gene and specificity of SRY gene by real time PCR was equal to those of conventional PCR. Sensitivity of DYS14 gene was the highest and sensitivity of SRY gene was the lowest. However, combination of the three Y– chromosome sequences in the diagnosis increased the test accuracy, which is suitable for clinical application. Using Handheld Real Time Ndt Testing Improving the efficiency of aircraft maintenance through the use of handheld real time NDT testing Introduction This project will aim to improve the efficiency of maintenance utilising hand held Non–destructive testing (NDT) in unison with 3D mapping software. NDT is a process of inspecting, analysing and evaluating materials or components for imperfections without damaging the component. In the aircraft industry over 80% of all inspections are done by visual checks, not all defects can been perceived by visual methods. (Colin G Drury et al, 2002, p.6) [7] NDT is the most economical way of carrying out inspections. (NDT Net Articles, 2013) [3] It is used to locate flaws and defects on the surface as well as subsurface defects within the material or component. (American Society of Non Destructive Testing, 2016) [1] It is a way to assure serviceability and reliability of the part being tested "NDT plays a critical role in maintenance" (NDT Education Resource Centre, 2014) [5], and why it is used in many different fields such as aircraft, pipelines, building structures and motor vehicles. (NDT and Its Benefits) [2] One of the main advantages is the ability to improve maintenance reliability, reduce time, cost and human error. • 14. Non Blocking Approach For Achieving Reader Writer... Non–Blocking approach to achieve reader writer synchronization: As we have seen in the blocking protocols where writers and readers can be blocked by each other to achieve mutual exclusion two types of delays mechanism affects the tasks: 1. Delays to achieve mutual exclusion of critical sections by locking the tasks. 2. Delays when a task is preempted by a more urgent system. These delays don't cause any major problem when the data concerned is not real–time data and tasks operating on it don't have any hard deadlines. But in real–time scenarios the data structure may contain time dependent data which can't accept the delays due to blocking protocols. For ex: consider the case of writer writing periodically, i.e. every millisecond, the current time into a data structure. Now if a reader reading this data–structure has to be preempted by a higher priority task which in turns blocks the data structure and subsequently any write on it, the data structure will become inconsistent. When the reader will resume its operation, it will not get the current time but the time at which writer was interrupted. This causes a need to come–up with a non–blocking protocol for inter–task communication in hard real–time systems. This section describes on such system along with its underlying architecture which uses a non– blocking protocol which supports one reader and multiple writers. • 15. Is Time Objective, Subjective, Real, Or Unreal? Is time objective, subjective, real, or unreal? Time is subjective, but real. The most direct knowledge we have of time is subjective. Time is a continuous process, it involves a sense of passage. The very essence of time as most directly, most concretely experienced, is the continuous unbroken passage of existence. According to Kant, time underlies all intuitions, as it is a singular unified thing. It is composed of many moments strung together like a movie reel. But that doesn't mean that people don't perceive time differently. Time seems to slow to a crawl or fly by before we know it. The way we experience this continuous passage varies from person to person and within the singular person. If every person perceives time differently, then this means that our concrete actual experience of this passage is subjective and private rather than shared and experienced the same way with the entire public. It is just this quintessential, subjective character of time that is completely ignored by what we refer to as measured time. Although measured time removes us from the subjective variability of time as directly experienced, it can be referred to as objective, real time. But this is not the time that we experience. This totally abstract, objective version of time breaks down the continuous flow of its immediate experience and separates it into artificial, imagined entities (seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years, etc.). • 16. Real Estate Prices Will Not Rebound Any Time Soon Essay Real estate prices will not rebound any time soon. Housing is cyclical and we had a tremendous 8 year cycle which produced 150% appreciation between 1997 and 2005. This cycle was extended past its natural course through unprecedented low mortgage rates which bottomed at 4% for "variable" rates that were fixed for 3 or 5 years. Also contributing to the boom were loosened lending rules such as "interest only" loans which keep the payments artificially low and "stated income" loans which bypass income verification, making loans available to people who would normally not qualify. In my home area of Southern California, the prior down cycle also coincidentally lasted 8 years, starting in 1989, bottoming in 1995, and rebounding in 1997, causing 20% haircuts from top to bottom. These cycles always go through the same phases: greed, denial, fear, pain and resolution. First speculators disappear, prices become stagnant, and houses stay on the market. "For sale" signs creep up as demand vanishes and sellers sit on their houses longer, creating a greater supply and putting more downward pricing pressure. Sellers reduce their asking prices, builders offer special incentives. The inventory builds up, desperate sellers discount further, some default on their payments, and the repossession phase starts. Banks, who are not in the business of owning homes, dump them at or below what is owned on the mortgage. They tighten lending standards as they no longer want marginal buyers, reducing ... • 17. The Wireless Channel Is Different And Much More... The wireless channel is different and much more unpredictable than the wire line channel because of factors such as multipath and shadow fading, Doppler shift, and time dispersion or delay spread. These factors are all related to variability introduced by mobility of the user and the wide range of environmental conditions that are encountered as a result. (i) Multipath Delay Spread The multipath delay spread is the time dispersion characteristic of the channel. Each multipath component is typically associated with different time delay and attenuation. The shortest of which is the LOS path. The root mean square delay spread in multipath delay is denoted by τ_d and the maximum spread in frequency due to Doppler shift, f_m. (ii) Coherence Bandwidth The coherence bandwidth, is a range of frequencies over which two frequency components have a strong potential for amplitude correlation, and is used to define whether the channel fading is flat or frequency selective. (iii) Coherence Time The coherence time, T_c describes the expected time duration over which the impulse response of the channel stays relatively invariant or correlated. The coherence time is approximately inversely proportional to Doppler spread (Sklar, 1997). (iv) Admissions Control A probabilistic admissions control protocol was employed to ensure sufficient transmission time is reserved to accommodate an estimated number of retransmissions. • 19. Flood Stories: Describe The Real Time Of Noah 1. Describe the Real Time and Real Space surrounding Noah. The Real Time of Noah is a very long time in which no one knows the actual time (p 138–140). However, we get a glimpse of how long it is because Jesus's second coming is compared to the days of Noah. Richter talks about during this time the world has had enough time to become completely corrupted and turn away from God. This takes awhile for the entire world to go south, how long specifically is unknown. The second coming of Jesus is the same in which the earth will have enough time to become corrupt and turn away from God just like the time before Noah. The Real Space of Noah describes that the story takes place in Mesopotamia and the surrounding area (p 140– 146). This is evident mainly because this area is known for flooding, and there are many flood stories that come from this area. One specific tale is the Gilgamesh Epic which is the most well known story. Most of the flood stories involve a greater being ridding themselves of humanity by a great flood. These stories are coincidentally very similar to the biblical narrative of Noah. 2. The first piece of the process is the initiation phase, where the business identified a problem in the human resources (HR) system. A proposal to develop software for the real–time integration of the HR system with multiple other systems of record was submitted to solve the problem. After the business approves the proposal, the next part of the process is system concept development. This phase of the software development life cycle (SDLC) involves collecting system boundary documentation that identifies the scope of the system, conducting a feasibility study and cost/benefit analysis, and developing a risk management plan (Blaha & Rumbaugh, 2005). The business requirement is for an automated analysis of HR data and real–time identity integration between numerous systems. Automation adds value to the business, saves time and manpower, and makes HR data more accurate. While the implementation of a real–time system represents a considerable investment for the business, it will be more cost–efficient since it would drastically reduce delays incurred from manually updating information in each system. A real–time system also helps the business achieve certain government regulation requirements and prevent significant audit findings. Using an electrical cell impedance sensing (ECIS) device, we can measure and quantify changes in the cellular behavior, morphology, interactions in real time. These measurements will be further analyzed to derive structure–function relations that correlates the cellular mechanisms with the cytotoxic and apoptotic events associated with CNTs exposure in real time. The ECIS device, in principle, is an electrolytic circuit. It measures the changes in resistance value between an active electrode where the cells are attached and a counter electrode using the growth media as an electrolyte (figure 1). Once the cells are seeded on the ECIS gold electrodes the current is forced to flow either below, between or through the cells, thus providing measurement of three different parameters; barrier function (Rb), cell membrane capacitance (Cm) and the height between cells and electrodes (h). Second disadvantage is that, a lot of resources are used by real time systems which are not adequate and very expensive. In addition, real time systems are overpriced due to the resources that they need in order to work. Thirdly, the real time systems run several tasks and keep focus on them. These services allow different people in several locations around the world to connect to online meetings. These conferences comprise of audio delivery, through the use of voice over internet protocol (VoIP) tools; web components, such as sharing information online by means of documents and applications; and usually video, where all participants can view the same desktop screen on their own personal browsers.[1] Web conferencing, which differs only slightly from exclusive instant message, video, and audio conferencing, is a somewhat broad term that is used to categorize different forms of collaborative meetings. Sessions known as webinars, for example, meet the criteria. Webinars are live–streamed seminars conducted on the internet that involve hosts sharing content with a wide variety of interacting viewers.[2] Whether used for collaboration between students and teachers involved in online schooling or coworkers cooperating on a business–related project, web conferencing is a professional and productive form of technology we utilize and have integrated into our work life to aid us with more efficient communication methods. History The idea of remotely conferencing has been around for almost a century. The videophone can be traced back ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Building adaptive defense against cybercrimes using real–time data mining Baber Majid Bhatti Head of IT Planning & Design Ericsson AB Adelaide, Australia babermb@gmail.com Nouman Sami IT Provisioning Specialist Ericsson Managed Services Abbottabad, Pakistan noumansami83@hotmail.com Abstract– In today's fast changing world, cybercrimes are growing at perturbing pace. At the very definition of it, cybercrimes get engendered by capitalizing on threats and exploitation of vulnerabilities. However, recent history reveals that such crimes often come with surprises and seldom follow the trends. This puts the defense systems behind in the race, because of their inability to identify new patters of cybercrime and to ameliorate to the required levels of security. This paper visualizes the empowerment of security systems through real–time data mining by the virtue of which these systems will be able to dynamically identify patterns of cybercrimes. This will help those security systems stepping up their defense capabilities, while adapting to the required levels posed by newly germinating patterns. In order to confine within scope of this paper, the application of this approach is being discussed in the context of selected scenarios of cybercrime. • 34. Noah's Real Time Bible CHAPTER SIX: Describe the Real Time and Real Space surrounding Noah. Noah's real time cannot be determined, but during Noah's time humanity civilized, developed, deteriorated and decayed. Noah's time was compared to the second coming of Jesus, because in the days of Noah, humanity was corrupt and the only option was to wash the world clean. The time between Adam and Noah is unsure but it is not a few years because of the few chapters between their stories. Noah's real space is set in Mesopotamia. This is the area that most historians identify as the birthplace of civilization, and the area win which the Bible reports that humanity multiplied and expanded after Eden. The epic of Gilgamesh also records the flood and reports that it took place in Mesopotamia. What was so significant about the covenant given to him and how does it interact with the New Jerusalem? • 35. How Dynamic Real Time Ticket Pricing? Advancements in technology have allowed firms to engage in more efficient pricing mechanisms, especially in the face of demand uncertainty. Beginning in the 1980s, airlines started implementing dynamic pricing, utilizing what is commonly known as yield management or revenue management systems. Airlines engaged in intra–firm price dispersion, selling buckets of seats at different prices. This sort of pricing mechanism has been shown to be effective in increasing profits in the face of aggregate demand uncertainty. Following in the footsteps of the airlines, several other industries have also come to engage in dynamic price discrimination. These include industries with varying degrees of competitiveness, such as hotels, sports, performing arts, and retail stores. With more recent advancements in technology, we have seen firms able to engage in more dynamic real time or responsive pricing. This paper adds to the literature by examining how dynamic real time ticket pricing can be more efficient then the static pricing mechanisms that have previously been studied. The majority of the literature that has analyzed dynamic pricing mechanisms has emphasized its use in the airline industry. cite{stavins2001} examine how airline price dispersion increases with competition. Similarly, cite{borenstein1995} find that there is larger price dispersion on more competitive flight routes. cite{mcafee2006} conduct an empirical analysis of airline pricing through a dynamic pricing model using ... • 36. A Research On The Real World For The First Time INTRODUCTION Finding the most suitable firm is extremely crucial and could be challenging because I'm going to step into the real world for the first time. Marketing is a heart of any business and it is such a diverse field, my target is not limited to marking firms only, but also includes any business that has marketing in their operations. I am going to narrow it down and look into two marketing firms that I am most interested to do more research and identify the most appropriate firm. The purpose of doing this report is to compare two firms that I would like to work for and decide which one is a better choice. • 37. Child's Real Time Referential Processing Development Introduction Language processing has been a largely studied area of research over the past _ years. More recently, studies have looked into real–time referential processing abilities in children in order to understand how processing works as well as what contributes to levels of efficiency. Some factors that effect proficiency of this ability includes exposure to infant–directed speech, onset of exposure to first language, socioeconomic status, as well as various individual differences such as language impairments and/or deafness. This paper strives to collect supporting ideas of what factors contribute to a child's real time referential processing development. Exposure to Language In some cultures, around the world, it is common to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The findings support that experiencing language fosters development of vocabulary through positively influenced processing efficiency. It has also been seen that children from higher socioeconomic status families show greater interaction and exposure to language which leads to larger vocabularies as well as efficient real–time processing (Fernald, A., Marchman, V. A., & Weisleder, A., 2013). Ultimately, children who are more exposed to speech are able to interpret words, create mental lexicon representations leading them to be able to familiarize with words quicker and with better accuracy during speech in real–time. This ability later shows rapid growth in vocabulary. (Weisleder et al., 2013) The looking–while–listening test is a good resource, however in some cases this test cannot be used. Such reasons arise in the assessment of deaf children that heavily rely on ASL signs as their primary tool for communication. Spoken language learning processes require visual and auditory modalities where as comprehension and processing of sign language requires visual attention to real world referents as well as attention to visual linguistic signs (Lieberman et al., 2015). Lieberman et al. (2015) at the University of California looked at real time processing in ASL signs and finds evidence to support that when deaf children are exposed to ASL from birth, they are developing sub lexical features within their ... • 38. Cruise Control : A Real Time Automation Introduction Cruise control is a real–time automation feature that is found on almost every American car. Without cruise control, long road trips would be more taxing and would probably remarkably increase the number of tickets issued by police officers. Cruise control is more common in the USA than the rest of the world because the roads in America are generally bigger and straighter, and destinations are farther apart. [howstuffworks] Cruise control in some form or the other has been around for more than a century but initially speed control was achieved on automobiles using a centrifugal governor which was invented for the steam engine in the 1700s. The 'modern cruise control' as we know it today was invented by Ralph R. Teetor. Out of frustration of travelling beside his lawyer, Mr. Teetor's invention aimed to "assist an automobile drive in maintaining the speed of the vehicle not in excess of a pre–determined speed" [Ralph, 1948]. With the number of cars increasing day by day on the road, basic cruise control has become less useful and has evolved over the years instead of going obsolete. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), a technology developed in 1991 by William Chundrlik and Pamela Labuhn at General Motors, includes the ability to automatically reduce the speed of the car when it senses traffic up ahead. ACC has already been introduced to the luxury line of cars and studies have shown that it makes driving even more simpler and less stressful. [business insider] Cruise ... • 39. Real-Time Analysis Solution to the Problem An innovative solution to combat this issue is to have real–time monitoring for athletes deemed high risk. This may be done by creating a synthetic shirt, which is currently worn by many athletes during activity already, that has three EKG leads and a telemetry unit built in the material. It would be imperative to have the leads, wires, and telemetry streamlined to reduce bulkiness, especially since the device would be worn under pads in sports like football and hockey. A second step would be to develop a smart phone application that can wirelessly monitor each player's cardiac rhythm by a trained sideline medical professional. This application would have real–time analysis monitoring for a concerning rhythm that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Historically, when SCA does occur, the most successful outcomes happen when there is early implementation of defibrillation attempts and advanced cardiac life support, including advanced airways, cardiac stimulating medications, and post–cardiac arrest hypothermia protocols (Piper & Stainsby, 2013). In other words, there is only a short window of opportunity to initiate life saving measures before irreversible damage occurs to the cardiac muscle. Additionally, having the telemedicine option provides immediate medical consultation in areas where resources are limited. Often, best practice methods take time to be adopted due to skepticism of the change, with rural areas traditionally lagging the most. The telemedicine provider can be trained based on the latest research, essentially bringing the top experts to the scene of the event. The biggest disadvantage would be the large monetary costs of the start–up. Research and development of the EKG shirt and of the smart phone application, distribution of the product, hiring telemedicine providers, and implementing an effective marketing campaign are some of the obvious major costs. One could argue that the relatively low estimated incidence rate would not justify the overall monetary cost. Unfortunately, the costs would project past the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. The Advantages Of Medical Sensor Networks Medical Sensor Networks have unique constrictions as compared to conventional networks making the execution of security measures impractical. Medical Sensor Networks aspire to develop the breathing healthcare and monitoring services, particularly for the aged people, kids and persistently ill. There are numerous advantages accomplished with Medical Sensor Networks. To commence with, remote monitoring potential is the foremost advantage of MSN. With remote monitoring, the recognition of urgent situations for menace patients will become simple and the people with distinct degrees of processes and physical immobility will be facilitated to have a more sovereign and trouble–free life. The small kids and offspring will also be concerned for in a more protected way while their blood relations are away. The individual care givers reliability will be reduced. In Medical Sensor Networks applications, a real time is really a soft real time system, in which delay is allowed to some extent (Kang G.Shin & Parameswaran Ramanathan 1994).
