INDEPENDENT PRACTICE
INTRODUCTION OF THE CLASS:
 Good morning class. According to our lesson yesterday, we saw the use of the verb to be. Today I am going to show you this picture.
What do you see in this picture on the board? Yes, there is a university. Ok, this picture is showing the beginning of the semester, so,
you can see a lot of students talking to each other. I will hand out to you a piece of paper where you are going to write a conversation
of what you think it may be happening in the picture.
THEME OF THE CLASS: The beginning of the Semester
Did the learner share an activity that students must
complete alone?
 Bien, todos ustedes saben lo que van a hacer. Tienes la imagen en el tablero,
que te muestra mucha información para que realices la tarea. Consiste en
hacer una conversación corta con al menos un párrafo de diez líneas.
Did the independent activity allow the students to practice
what was learned in the instructional part of the lesson?
 As we saw in the previous class, you already know how to make
affirmative or negative sentences with the verb to be in the present tense.
Did the independent activity provide clear content? (Were
all aspects of the independent practice written, including
the vocabulary, materials, and time spent on the activity.
All additional resources should be included when possible
(quizzes, pictures, PowerPoint, etc.)
 Beside the picture, you can see a list of words as vocabulary, and you can
use it to help out in the construction of your conversation. This
vocabulary is including a lot of things surrounding the picture.
Were the instructions clear and easy to follow for another
teacher?
 Again I repeat, on the board, they have two elements for the elaboration
of their task: they have a picture with the image of a university, and the
moments of the beginning of the semester. As you can see, there are
many students in the photo, and they are talking to each other. On the
other hand, they have a list of words that they can use as their vocabulary
so that it serves them in the constructions of their sentences. Remember
to make a paragraph containing at least ten lines and at least five personal
lines that appear in the image.,
Did this activity show creativity and ability to help
students stay engaged in the lesson?
 After completing the tasks individually, they will form teams of three
students, to make a presentation of their work. One will perform the
function of the consult, another describes and another of the editor.
 Those who finish first the task may have an extra five points on the
evaluation.

  • 1. INDEPENDENT PRACTICE INTRODUCTION OF THE CLASS:  Good morning class. According to our lesson yesterday, we saw the use of the verb to be. Today I am going to show you this picture. What do you see in this picture on the board? Yes, there is a university. Ok, this picture is showing the beginning of the semester, so, you can see a lot of students talking to each other. I will hand out to you a piece of paper where you are going to write a conversation of what you think it may be happening in the picture. THEME OF THE CLASS: The beginning of the Semester Did the learner share an activity that students must complete alone?  Bien, todos ustedes saben lo que van a hacer. Tienes la imagen en el tablero, que te muestra mucha información para que realices la tarea. Consiste en hacer una conversación corta con al menos un párrafo de diez líneas. Did the independent activity allow the students to practice what was learned in the instructional part of the lesson?  As we saw in the previous class, you already know how to make affirmative or negative sentences with the verb to be in the present tense. Did the independent activity provide clear content? (Were all aspects of the independent practice written, including the vocabulary, materials, and time spent on the activity. All additional resources should be included when possible (quizzes, pictures, PowerPoint, etc.)  Beside the picture, you can see a list of words as vocabulary, and you can use it to help out in the construction of your conversation. This vocabulary is including a lot of things surrounding the picture. Were the instructions clear and easy to follow for another teacher?  Again I repeat, on the board, they have two elements for the elaboration of their task: they have a picture with the image of a university, and the moments of the beginning of the semester. As you can see, there are many students in the photo, and they are talking to each other. On the other hand, they have a list of words that they can use as their vocabulary so that it serves them in the constructions of their sentences. Remember to make a paragraph containing at least ten lines and at least five personal lines that appear in the image., Did this activity show creativity and ability to help students stay engaged in the lesson?  After completing the tasks individually, they will form teams of three students, to make a presentation of their work. One will perform the function of the consult, another describes and another of the editor.  Those who finish first the task may have an extra five points on the evaluation.
