1. WU International Board
The International Board of WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) was founded in
2007 as high-level advisory panel consisting of international higher education experts to
support WU’s Rector’s Council in an honorary capacity with insights and experiences on issues
of strategic importance.

2. Organizational details
• Board members are appointed for the term of WU´s Rector´s Council, i.e. 2011 - 2015
• Board members work in an honorary capacity (pro bono)
• All induced travel costs are, of course, reimbursed by WU
• Meetings are held once annually in Vienna, Austria
• Meetings usually take place on Fridays in spring/early summer
• Each meeting lasts for a whole working day (9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
• Each meeting is supplemented by a social program
Meeting Structure
• Each meeting deals with about 2-3 strategic topics
• Members of WU’s Rector’s Council will give short input presentations
• Feedback statements are then asked for from individual board members
• We encourage you to bring with you examples from your own institutional experiences
