9. People of Cyprus
The people of Cyprus represent two main
ethnic groups, Greek and Turkish.
The language of the majority is Greek and of
the minority, Turkish. English is the second
language of the island.
The Greek Cypriots are Orthodox Christians,
and the Turkish Cypriots are Muslims.
There are also smaller Maronite, Armenian,
Roman Catholic, and Anglican Christian
communities on the island.
