The advert is very dark because of the
genre of music that the band plays. The
band is a punk/rock band and colours
that are associated with that genre are
blacks and darks colours. The poster has
little information on it because when you
see posters you don’t want to spend
time reading everything that is on it, so
by having little information, it keeps
people looking. The advert itself is
promoting the bands album “The
Betrayed”. The tagline of “We live inside
the fire. We live inside of you” is
gripping as it is a bold statement. The
use of shadows over each band
member’s face creates an eerie,
powerful image.
The You Me at Six advert is different to
the Lostprophets one as this advert
features a lot more colour. The artwork
that is used on the advert is the same
artwork that is used on their album cover,
so that if you see the album cover in a
store you would recognise the artwork.
They also include the website and album
release date on their advert so that
people who read the advert get the
information they need. The website is
important so that people can find out
more about the band and other things
that they do. The use of colour makes the
advert stand out compared to others.

This music advert features Plan B. The
advert itself has the colour scheme of red
and black. The advert features hardily any
information at all except for reviews. Since
the album has been getting 4 star reviews
this shows that it is a good album. At the
bottom of the advert it shows what the
album looks like. A bad thing about this
advert that I do not like is that is does not
have any information about the album at
all. It doesn’t have a release date or
where you can get it from; it just shows
that it a good album based on reviews.
