This was the industrial era in Europe. In 1712, Thomas Newcomen invent ed an engine that was not successful,
Then James Watt, born in 1726, invented the steam engine in 1776, working on Thomas Newcomen's, theory.
Which was a big change for our world, It was only after the invention of this steam engine that scientists thought
of making a cart without a horse.
At the beginning of the 18th century, there were many such engineers in the world who wanted to make a
vehicle that could be driven without a horse, Till this period, the car was driven by animals and then many
engineers worked on it but did not achieve much success.

Stephenson, Oliver Evans, etc. these people also thought of building a railway only after the invention of James
Watt's engine.

world's first vehicle without animals, it was a type of cannon cart, a large three-wheeled vehicle that moved at
the speed of a walk, meant to haul cannon that made a lot of noise while moving.
Many sparks also came out of it, as well as the horse was much more expensive than the cart and After a few
days, its wheels also broke, and it was not very useful and after a few days its wheels also broke. The vehicle
even had to stop every ten to fifteen minutes to build up steam power and It was not very useful, so it was kept in
the Shastra Garden and museum.

Richard Trevithick, known as the father of railways, was a young mechanical engineer at that time, After a lot of
effort, he finally succeeded in making a large iron steam engine vehicle in the year 1801. His train had a large
chimney for smoke, as well as a place for some passengers to sit, This train of his was made to run on both the
ground and the railway track,
whenever this train used to run, it used to make a lot of noise and it was shaking also, that's why its name was
Puffing devil. When it went on the track for the first time, people were scared to see it, later their train caught fire
due to coal, But Richard Trevithick was a very courageous and influential person, he did not lose heart after his
first train caught fire.
Then in 1 80 3, he made a second st eam engine, which he drove on the roads from Cornwall to London, The
engine of the train was badly damaged in this journey Then Richard Trevithick thought of using this steam train
for a long time to run only on the track, due to which he joined hands with a company, and laid the tracks from
Cornwall to London,
Then on 21 February 1804, a train carrying 25 tons of iron and 70 men was driven by Richard Trevithick himself
for 4 hours and 5 minutes. This was the first time in the world in which such heavy and bulky goods were hauled
by a steam engine, but till this time the train was considered very expensive and less useful, Therefore, at that
time no company considered it beneficial to work on this project, so Richard Trevithick stopped working on this
project.

Mat t hew Murray was a new t hinking engineer and businessman who always want ed t o make a
vehicle that did not depend on horses and ran on steam engines. He made many changes to the train built by
Richard Trevithick in 1812, modified its steam engine in a new way, and then in 1812, it was run on the track for
the first time to run it commercially before Richard Trevithick had run the train only once.
Matthew Murray first started to do business, his company gradually started the work of laying railway tracks in
many cities of England, But till now the railway had not become so popular that it was openly adopted by the
people, till now most of the freight work was being done by the railways.

George Stephenson is known for using coal engines and transporting trains to other parts of the world. The name
of his company was The Robert Stephenson Company, which was named after his son Robert and He made
many changes to the steam engine to make it more strong and more powerful, which was also capable of pulling
heavyweight.
On 27 September 1825, a 38- compartment train pulled by a steam engine, carrying 600 passengers, This first
train traveled 37 miles from London to Stock land at a speed of 14 miles per hour. It is officially called the world's
first train, in which the passenger was made to travel from one place to another.

had revolut ionized t he invent ion of t he t rain, after the use of his coal engine, there was a competition to be
made in other countries of the world. Oliver Evans was an American engineer, he made many changes to the

Rudolf Christian Karl Diesel, 18 March 1858 – 29 September 1913) was a German inventor and mechanical
engineer, he made history by making a diesel engine, the engine made by him is still used all over the world.
He built a four-stroke single-cylinder diesel engine of 25HP in 1857, After this invention, in 1912, Romanshorn had
run a train with a diesel engine for the first time in Switzerland by railway.

lakh employees and keeps the whole country together. The first train in India was run 35 KM from Bori Bunder to
Tannha on 16 April 1853, At that time, this train was about 20 compartments, which 400 passengers traveled.
