OUR GROUP
1. OURWORK
The research group focuses on three areas:
• “One health” is a concept recently created,
which seeks to join efforts between doctors,
pharmacists, veterinarians and other health
personnel together with the administrations
for the control of communicable diseases,
especially zoonotic, such as giardiosis, hy-
datidosis or leishmaniasis.
• New technologies in diagnostic and thera-
py in the control of various communicable
diseases.

• Fully equipped research laboratories,
sample processing laboratory; flow cyto-
meter; co-observation microscope room,
fluorescence detection Instruments, PCR
thermal cycler, etc…

Wide experience and valuable knowledge in:
• Drug screening in different parasites and mi-
croorganisms.
• Cell cultures to assess drug toxicity.
• Proteomics tools.
• Immunological assays (western-blot, ELISA,
cytokine measurement).
• PCR.
• Nutritional status evaluation.
• International projects.
• Collaboration and exchange of international researchers between groups, both in short stays
and for the shared direction of doctoral theses.
