Dear Parent,
Due to a totally unforeseen event last night, we have come to a heartbreaking decision not to open the center this year
despite having made all the necessary preparations and having secured all the necessary permits in order to be able to open
this June. The reason involves our newly-hired teacher changing her mind on the last minute about teaching at the center.
Her sudden decision was something we did not see coming especially because we have been taking to her since March and, as
early as April, has reached an agreement with her that she will be taking over another teacher who is on leave.
With only a week left until opening, I do not have enough time to look for another teacher and train her for the work she will
be doing in handling both the toddler and nursery classes. This is because I have to enroll for my graduate class this week at
the University of the Philippines. And because I am doing my pre-thesis this semester and then my thesis the semester after
that, it would be very difficult for me to give my one hundred percent to teaching the kids at the center. I do not want to be
unfair to both you and the kids by giving less than one hundred percent of my time and effort as I would have to divide them
between doing my work at Twin Hearts and completing my final requirements for school. For this reason, I am truly sorry
that we have to come to this very sad decision.
We hope that this notice would give you enough time to make the necessary changes about where to send your kids to school
this year. We are truly sorry if we have caused you this great inconvenience and we would like to wish the kids good luck
this year wherever you decide to send them. God bless!
