My Favorite Teacher Essay
My Favorite Teacher
I have encountered numerous teachers during my educational career, but only a few have made a
memorable impact on my life. Whether it was doing the best providing my education or a coach that
helps me improve on and off court/field/track. Teachers and coaches like this are what makeschool
enjoyable. Through all of the teachers I have ever had in class Mr. Price, Coach Nathan Loftiss, and
Coach Jacob Schneberger have been the ones I've enjoyed the most.
Mr. Price is one of the smartest human beings I have ever met. He's taught me geometry,
trigonometry, algebra III, chemistry, and physics. Everyone has plenty of time to ask questions and
should never fall behind in his class due to this. He always wants his students...show more content...
My freshman year I made state and if it wasn't for his way of coaching I never would have made it.
When he told me he no longer would be a coach at BF–DC, I was devastated. I did not want my
track coach to leave. Track is my favorite sport, it's my passion. At the end of the year when he
was handing out track awards, I bawled. He has had such an impact on my life. He taught me a
great deal of things in track and about dedication and for that I am grateful. We still keep in contact
and I still keep him updated on all my track stuff.
When I found out Jacob Schneberger was going to be my new track coach I was quite excited. I
thought since he used to run for Loftiss and was just a college graduate, things during this year
would be great. At the start of the season practices were mostly good but then he stopped showing
up to coach us because he was trying to get his bus driving license. I was the only one during this
year to make state. The week before state Jacob pushed me hard during practice. It was how I
wished he would have coached practices from the beginning. My junior year I decided to
powerlift and Jacob was the coach. It was the best decision I ever made not only was it the
funniest sport to play it helped me tremendously in track. I had such better times and my starts
were 1000 times better than they'd ever been. Not to mention, I was beating several guys at the
powerlifting meets and boy did I feel accomplished! During this track season Jacob pushed all of

My Favorite Teacher Essay
Trying to determine my favorite teacher over the past sixteen years of my life, I went through
every grade of school searching for the best academic teacher I had. I loved some of my math
teachers and some who taught English, but I could not find the one teacher that stood out above the
rest. However, similarly to how most writers find their inspiration, when I was having a random
conversation with my family one day, I found myself rambling on and on about how fantastic a
certain teacher was. I had not even thought about her as an option for my favorite teacher, but after
talking about her for about fifteen minutes straight I reconsidered my choices. Elective courses,
classes besides the four core subjects, are usually not taken as...show more content...
Russell was such a good teacher. An individual who walked into her class on any given day would
realize the amount of time she dedicates into a single class period. She opens every tab necessary
on her computer before class for the lesson in order to not waste a second of time. Generally, she
had about ten tabs open. My class completed several activities a day, and she knew exactly which
order to assign them in and how long the class would need for each one. It seems like a
characteristic any teacher should have, but I do not think I have ever been taught by a teacher
that put so much planning into her lessons. She constantly grades papers in order to get grades in
as soon as possible; my friends and I have observed her grading at several events, including pep
rallies and basketball games. She grades so much that she has developed a neck injury from
looking down at her desk so much. I remember her saying during class one day, "If I start crying,
don't worry; my neck is in a lot of pain from grading your papers, but I'll be fine". Most teachers
would take the day off or sit down or something, but not Mrs. Russell. If she took a day off, I knew
something was seriously wrong. It usually included the hospital. The dedication she has towards her
job is unlike any other person I have witnessed; there is nothing she would rather be doing than
teaching a class of thirty students, some

Choosing a favorite teacher is fairly difficult when one puts into account all the types of teachers
they have known, all of them are important. Teachers are the second most important people in our
lives, right after our parents. Teachers are persuasive and have the power to build a child up from an
immature student to become a responsible adult; or they can completely and utterly crush a students
hopes and dreams. As an identical twin my mother has always pulled a few strings to have my sister
and me in the same classes throughout elementary school. We were absolutely inseparable.
Transitioning from elementary to middle school was a milestone for me. Every class I was placed in
was different from my sister's. I was friendless, and at...show more content...
However, although our conversations may be few and far between, they always make for memorable
moments.
As I continue to get older, I cannot help looking back and reminiscing about my days as an
elementary student. I feel lucky for having such an unforgettable childhood and thankful for the
people that were apart of it. Ms. Reagan has always been more than an educator to me, and I am so
blessed to have her as a part of my

Coach Fowler Research Paper
Learning can be difficult, especially in a class like history, but lucky for me my 7th , 10th , and
12th grade teacher made history one of my favorite classes. Coach Fowler is the best teacher and
coach that I have ever had. He really knew how to make class fun and keep me focused. He was
also my football Coach, which also resulted in me wanting to do good and act right in his
classroom. He knew when to joke, and he also knew when to take things serious. Having a teacher
and also a football coach that you look up to and respect really encourages you to do good and not
let him down. Coach Fowler moved to Muscle Shoals High School to take a job coaching football
and Baseball when I was in the 7th grade and was going to also be my history teacher. In 7th
grade I never knew that he would end up making a big impact on me and make one of my most
dreaded classes one of my favorites. He would always have hands on learning activities, like
using the smart board and having the whole class get into groups and do a projects and study
guides together. He really kept the whole class involved in the lessons by walking around the room
and asking random people random questions about the lesson just to see if the class is paying
attention, while also keeping a smile on everyone's faces. He is a really outgoing person, he rarely
has bad days and always had a good vibe in his classroom. He taught me my sophomore year and
senior year of high school as well. By the time that I was a senior we

My High School Teacher
My high school teacher, a lady, has inspired me to become a teacher. She demonstrated to me how
caring, enthusiastic and accessible a teacher can be to students. She inspired me with her unlimited
patience when interacting with students including myself. She would approach each student in her
own way and gave every student their own privacy when it comes to getting assessment results. I
respect her very much as she respected me and made my final year of high school very memorable.
Teaching is a good career choice because of the satisfaction you achieve when you teach or help a
student in any way. I believe teaching is also the transmission of knowledge and information. It is a
pleasure to be able to transfer the useful knowledge and...show more content...
Being a teacher means being compassionate, tolerant and responsible for their students, the
community, and the society. A good teacher is influential and can impact others positively by being
a role model/good example for them(young children). A good teacher definitely should have a strong
dedication towards teaching and students' learning.
A good teacher helps students overcome their fear, low–self esteem and struggle that they may face
in school. A good teacher should also encourage students to discover their own interest and talent. It
also important that a good teacher will teach and demonstrate to students the importance of honesty,
good morals and values so that they know what to do and what not to do and what is wrong and
what is right. This also helps by shaping their personal understanding of themselves and the world
which will benefit them in their future.
I am an attentive listener with unlimited patience. I can listen to students; questions, needs and
worries. I am also a great observer meaning I can see and obverse if any student is facing
problems or need an adult to talk to. I care about how others feel and it is why my friends tend to
speak out to me about their struggles and concerns. I try my best to comfort them and also offer
some advice to overcome their needs or to reduce their stress. I am willing to devote my time to
help others.I am flexible and collaborative when it comes to group work, I enjoy sharing my ideas

My Career as a Teacher Essay
As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in
the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a future career where I can implement my own beliefs
and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I
want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire.
In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students,
many different factors must take place. First and foremost, it is important to me that I master
exceptional classroom management skills. Effective and efficient learning takes place when
expectations in the classroom are consistent and clear. Also, discipline in...show more content...
These learning styles include; auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. By mastering and using as many
learning styles as I can, I will make sure each student is able to get the most out of their learning
experience. I understand that every child learns differently and understanding how to use different
approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different
learning styles but I will also use different teaching styles during the curriculum. The different
methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation
which uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem,
coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the experiment, reading the results, and finally
completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which
is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem
solving. When I teach the students to problem solve accurately they be able to overcome obstacles
and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think critically which
includes identification and evaluation to problem solving. Finally, I will use the method of
cooperative learning which is an approach to organizing classroom activities into academic and
social learning experience. I believe that every one of these method can be valued

Essay Best Teacher, Worst Teacher
Best Teacher, Worst Teacher
Although I have had many different types of teachers, there are two that stick out more than any
others. The first was my third and sixth grade teacher. She was the best teacher I ever had. The
second was my seventh grade teacher. She was the worst I think a student could have had. Both,
these teachers had very different teaching styles and very different out looks on teaching. To be an
effective teacher the teacher must respect the student and be willing to go the extra mile to help the
students learn all they can. In this paper, I will discuss the effectiveness of these two teachers and
how their teaching styles differed.
First of all, what is a good teacher? According...show more content...
I hope that I do not become a teacher like this.
Now that I can see the difference in good and bad teaching I have two teachers in mind that fit
each description. The first being my favorite teacher. She was both my third and sixth grade
teacher. She showed me that I could be what ever I wanted to be. She made me feel that even
though I was not the best student in the class I still could be the best if I gave a little more. She
motivated me to do all my work and gave me the extra boost I need to learn. When the students in
my class did something right she always praised us. She also played game with us to learn.
According to the book it says. ?If the teacher keeps the students involved they will be more likely to
like school and learn in school.?
The second type of teacher is and ineffective teacher. This type of teacher does not motivate or
enthuse their students to learn. My seventh grade teacher was this type of teacher. She was a cake
decorating teacher at the vocational center then became a math teacher overnight. At the begging
of class, every day she would stand at the board and say class be quiet class shut up. That's all she
would say the whole class and we never got anything done. Then if she would try to teach she
would read out of the book and never give examples. If a student would ask a question she would
say you?re not dumb you know the answer. The teacher always put the students down. According to

My Ideal Teacher
Throughout my lifetime, I've had both unsatisfactory and superb teachers that were both memorable
to me. All teachers have flaws and there is no perfect teacher; however, there are teachers whose
negative qualities could overpower their positive points. Despite the characteristics of a teacher,
what makes them different is the strategy they use to teach and the environment they create.
Depending on these two aspects, students would use their preference to determine whether they
have been memorable in both a negative or positive way. There has been various teachers I've
encountered and there were a few that I would have considered a displeasing teacher. Overall, the
few teachers whose traits were organized, enthusiastic, and easygoing were characteristics that I
would considered a good teacher. There are many students that would have prefered certain trait
such as organization skills. If a teacher were to be disorganized, then many students would
complain about the amount of ungraded assignments that are affecting their grade. I had a teacher
who was like this, she had piles of papers on her desk and she stressed with both her work and
personal life. Despite the amount of stress that she had, she was still enthusiastic with her job. She
had an unusual strategy because she would fuse the latest trends with the assignments. For example,
she would call our grammar packet the "nae–nae" and the our reference packet the "whip". On the
other hand, she didn't grade everything

Essay on My Ideal Teacher
My Ideal Teacher
When I think about teachers that I have had in the past, several different ones come to my mind.
Each of these educators stands out in my mind for a variety of diverse reasons. Whether it is their
sense of humor, their tactfulness, their love of the subject matter, their fanatical and sporadic
behavior, or their yearning to be childish themselves, I can still remember at least one quality of
every teacher I have ever encountered. Every one of these teachers conveyed subject material to
their students just as they were educated and employed to do. However, I trust that every
professional in the world has an abundance of opportunity for improvement; teachers could discover
and improve themselves merely by having...show more content...
I had a teacher in high school that began each class with a funny story or a random fact. We, as
students, looked forward to attending to his classes just to know what he had brought for us that
day. He was a stern teacher, but everyone appreciated him because he showed an interest in us
enjoying his classes.
An additional way that educators can make the class stimulating while maintaining student interest is
to include voice fluctuations and floor coverage in their lectures. We have all experienced those
teachers who never change their voice or their position on the floor during the course of an hour.
These monotone voices and stand still positions are almost hypnotizing; students get sluggish and
drop curiosity fast. My ideal teacher would use their voice to expand and carry on the students'
attention for the whole hour.
Using voice to emphasize an important point or even an incident that is being discussed can be very
valuable in creating excitement for the students. When a teacher moves about the room, one will
notice that the students will focus on the teacher and their eyes will follow. Simply moving their
eyes to follow the teacher's pattern of movements can be effective in keeping the student's attention.
A teacher could even reenact or act out using body actions for various topics. This would make the

My Most Influential Teacher
Throughout my years at Deposit Central School I have had many influential teachers. However, the
most influential teacher that I have had is not a school teacher, but a teacher that has taught me the
values of life. The definition of a teacher is a person who teaches or instructs. It does not
necessarily mean that a teacher is alway part of a school, it means that it is someone who makes a
difference and educates you. The most influential teacher that I have encounter is my mom,
Stephanie. Teachers play a significant role in shaping and defining a student, and that is what my
teacher has done for me. My mom has taught me the values in life and the good. She has showed
me that if you have a strong drive, then you will succeed in life. She...show more content...
And now, she never felt like getting into the holiday spirit until she meant my mom. My mom
told the lady that she is trying to set a good example to her kids so they will not be afraid to be
themselves in public. I was pretty young when this happened, but I remember this because my mom
absolutely loves the holidays and now she still can without being afraid her kids will tell her to
stop. Of course now when we go shopping we all sing to the christmas music.
In addition to teaching me character and leadership, she has taught me to help others. It has
always been a big part in our family to help others. My mom always asked us if we are willing to
help others, and because we have learned that at a young age we always say yes. It always feels
good when we help out family members who may not be able to get groceries up their stairs or to
rake leaves for them if they can't get outside. Service was a big "subject" that she taught us
because it was important to her when she was growing up as well. Another quality that was
important to her was teaching us to have goals during school. She never cared what the grade was
necessarily, but she cared about the effort that was put into it. I think that made it a lot easier for
my sister and I to enjoy school more because we knew if we put in 100% effort then she would be
proud of us no matter what. My mom struggled in school because she just never understood some of
the subjects, but what she did understand was her drive to beat

What makes a good teacher? Essay
In my opinion, a good teacher should be one who puts her heart into teaching. This is because
only by doing so will the students feel their passion and hard work. When a teacher strives hard
for the students, students will put in their effort as well. If a teacher dislikes her job, goes to
classes in a bad mood, her teaching would also be affected and students would not be able to enjoy
lessons as well.
Another point that makes a good teacher would be his/her patience. Teachers should not get upset or
even worse, give up on the students who are not so strong in their studies. Instead, they should have
the patience to slowly coach them, give them extra lessons, and find different ways to encourage
them. Let them know that the teacher...show more content...
It would be better if the teacher is able to find common topics to chat with the students. This would
let the students feel like they can relate better to the teacher.
"You must not give up. I want to let you know that even if you're facing so many problems, and
feel like there's no one to talk to, I'll be here for you. Everyone else might want to be the sun that
lights up your life, but I rather be the moon that guides you through your darkest hours. Let's strive
hard and work toward our goal together!" This was what my high school teacher told me 10 years
ago and I have remembered it until now, and will remember it for the next 10 years and so on.
I was once a problematic kid who mixed with bad company and flunk tests. I never thought about
what I was going to do the next day, what more when I grew up. Of course when I was younger, I
had lots of dreams. I wanted to set up my own company, I wanted to be a teacher, I wanted to be
able to drive an airplane and the list went on. But as the years went by, they became less
insignificant to me and soon, I forgot every single one of those dreams and goals. I got to a new
school and knew friends who smoke and took drugs. My grades started dropping from "A" to fails.
But I did not care. I could not be bothered by then. I went partying every night and got home drunk.
What was the point of studying? My parents are

Essay On My Favorite Teacher

  • 1. My Favorite Teacher Essay My Favorite Teacher I have encountered numerous teachers during my educational career, but only a few have made a memorable impact on my life. Whether it was doing the best providing my education or a coach that helps me improve on and off court/field/track. Teachers and coaches like this are what makeschool enjoyable. Through all of the teachers I have ever had in class Mr. Price, Coach Nathan Loftiss, and Coach Jacob Schneberger have been the ones I've enjoyed the most. Mr. Price is one of the smartest human beings I have ever met. He's taught me geometry, trigonometry, algebra III, chemistry, and physics. Everyone has plenty of time to ask questions and should never fall behind in his class due to this. He always wants his students...show more content... My freshman year I made state and if it wasn't for his way of coaching I never would have made it. When he told me he no longer would be a coach at BF–DC, I was devastated. I did not want my track coach to leave. Track is my favorite sport, it's my passion. At the end of the year when he was handing out track awards, I bawled. He has had such an impact on my life. He taught me a great deal of things in track and about dedication and for that I am grateful. We still keep in contact and I still keep him updated on all my track stuff. When I found out Jacob Schneberger was going to be my new track coach I was quite excited. I thought since he used to run for Loftiss and was just a college graduate, things during this year would be great. At the start of the season practices were mostly good but then he stopped showing up to coach us because he was trying to get his bus driving license. I was the only one during this year to make state. The week before state Jacob pushed me hard during practice. It was how I wished he would have coached practices from the beginning. My junior year I decided to powerlift and Jacob was the coach. It was the best decision I ever made not only was it the funniest sport to play it helped me tremendously in track. I had such better times and my starts were 1000 times better than they'd ever been. Not to mention, I was beating several guys at the powerlifting meets and boy did I feel accomplished! • 2. My Favorite Teacher Essay Trying to determine my favorite teacher over the past sixteen years of my life, I went through every grade of school searching for the best academic teacher I had. I loved some of my math teachers and some who taught English, but I could not find the one teacher that stood out above the rest. However, similarly to how most writers find their inspiration, when I was having a random conversation with my family one day, I found myself rambling on and on about how fantastic a certain teacher was. I had not even thought about her as an option for my favorite teacher, but after talking about her for about fifteen minutes straight I reconsidered my choices. Elective courses, classes besides the four core subjects, are usually not taken as...show more content... Russell was such a good teacher. An individual who walked into her class on any given day would realize the amount of time she dedicates into a single class period. She opens every tab necessary on her computer before class for the lesson in order to not waste a second of time. Generally, she had about ten tabs open. My class completed several activities a day, and she knew exactly which order to assign them in and how long the class would need for each one. It seems like a characteristic any teacher should have, but I do not think I have ever been taught by a teacher that put so much planning into her lessons. She constantly grades papers in order to get grades in as soon as possible; my friends and I have observed her grading at several events, including pep rallies and basketball games. She grades so much that she has developed a neck injury from looking down at her desk so much. I remember her saying during class one day, "If I start crying, don't worry; my neck is in a lot of pain from grading your papers, but I'll be fine". Most teachers would take the day off or sit down or something, but not Mrs. Russell. If she took a day off, I knew something was seriously wrong. It usually included the hospital. The dedication she has towards her job is unlike any other person I have witnessed; there is nothing she would rather be doing than teaching a class of thirty students, some Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Favorite Teacher Choosing a favorite teacher is fairly difficult when one puts into account all the types of teachers they have known, all of them are important. Teachers are the second most important people in our lives, right after our parents. Teachers are persuasive and have the power to build a child up from an immature student to become a responsible adult; or they can completely and utterly crush a students hopes and dreams. As an identical twin my mother has always pulled a few strings to have my sister and me in the same classes throughout elementary school. We were absolutely inseparable. • 4. Coach Fowler Research Paper Learning can be difficult, especially in a class like history, but lucky for me my 7th , 10th , and 12th grade teacher made history one of my favorite classes. Coach Fowler is the best teacher and coach that I have ever had. He really knew how to make class fun and keep me focused. He was also my football Coach, which also resulted in me wanting to do good and act right in his classroom. He knew when to joke, and he also knew when to take things serious. Having a teacher and also a football coach that you look up to and respect really encourages you to do good and not let him down. Coach Fowler moved to Muscle Shoals High School to take a job coaching football and Baseball when I was in the 7th grade and was going to also be my history teacher. In 7th grade I never knew that he would end up making a big impact on me and make one of my most dreaded classes one of my favorites. He would always have hands on learning activities, like using the smart board and having the whole class get into groups and do a projects and study guides together. He really kept the whole class involved in the lessons by walking around the room and asking random people random questions about the lesson just to see if the class is paying attention, while also keeping a smile on everyone's faces. He is a really outgoing person, he rarely has bad days and always had a good vibe in his classroom. He taught me my sophomore year and senior year of high school as well. She inspired me with her unlimited patience when interacting with students including myself. She would approach each student in her own way and gave every student their own privacy when it comes to getting assessment results. I respect her very much as she respected me and made my final year of high school very memorable. I am excited to be engaged in a future career where I can implement my own beliefs and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire. In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students, many different factors must take place. Not only is it important to use different learning styles but I will also use different teaching styles during the curriculum. The different methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation which uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem, coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the experiment, reading the results, and finally completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem solving. When I teach the students to problem solve accurately they be able to overcome obstacles and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think critically which includes identification and evaluation to problem solving. Finally, I will use the method of cooperative learning which is an approach to organizing classroom activities into academic and social learning experience. • 7. Essay Best Teacher, Worst Teacher Best Teacher, Worst Teacher Although I have had many different types of teachers, there are two that stick out more than any others. The first was my third and sixth grade teacher. She was the best teacher I ever had. The second was my seventh grade teacher. She was the worst I think a student could have had. Both, these teachers had very different teaching styles and very different out looks on teaching. To be an effective teacher the teacher must respect the student and be willing to go the extra mile to help the students learn all they can. In this paper, I will discuss the effectiveness of these two teachers and how their teaching styles differed. First of all, what is a good teacher? According...show more content... I hope that I do not become a teacher like this. Now that I can see the difference in good and bad teaching I have two teachers in mind that fit each description. The first being my favorite teacher. She was both my third and sixth grade teacher. She showed me that I could be what ever I wanted to be. She made me feel that even though I was not the best student in the class I still could be the best if I gave a little more. She motivated me to do all my work and gave me the extra boost I need to learn. When the students in my class did something right she always praised us. She also played game with us to learn. According to the book it says. ?If the teacher keeps the students involved they will be more likely to like school and learn in school.? The second type of teacher is and ineffective teacher. This type of teacher does not motivate or enthuse their students to learn. My seventh grade teacher was this type of teacher. She was a cake decorating teacher at the vocational center then became a math teacher overnight. At the begging of class, every day she would stand at the board and say class be quiet class shut up. That's all she would say the whole class and we never got anything done. Then if she would try to teach she would read out of the book and never give examples. If a student would ask a question she would say you?re not dumb you know the answer. The teacher always put the students down. According to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My Ideal Teacher Throughout my lifetime, I've had both unsatisfactory and superb teachers that were both memorable to me. All teachers have flaws and there is no perfect teacher; however, there are teachers whose negative qualities could overpower their positive points. Despite the characteristics of a teacher, what makes them different is the strategy they use to teach and the environment they create. Depending on these two aspects, students would use their preference to determine whether they have been memorable in both a negative or positive way. There has been various teachers I've encountered and there were a few that I would have considered a displeasing teacher. Overall, the few teachers whose traits were organized, enthusiastic, and easygoing were characteristics that I would considered a good teacher. There are many students that would have prefered certain trait such as organization skills. If a teacher were to be disorganized, then many students would complain about the amount of ungraded assignments that are affecting their grade. I had a teacher who was like this, she had piles of papers on her desk and she stressed with both her work and personal life. Despite the amount of stress that she had, she was still enthusiastic with her job. She had an unusual strategy because she would fuse the latest trends with the assignments. For example, she would call our grammar packet the "nae–nae" and the our reference packet the "whip". On the other hand, she didn't grade everything Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Essay on My Ideal Teacher My Ideal Teacher When I think about teachers that I have had in the past, several different ones come to my mind. Each of these educators stands out in my mind for a variety of diverse reasons. Whether it is their sense of humor, their tactfulness, their love of the subject matter, their fanatical and sporadic behavior, or their yearning to be childish themselves, I can still remember at least one quality of every teacher I have ever encountered. Every one of these teachers conveyed subject material to their students just as they were educated and employed to do. I had a teacher in high school that began each class with a funny story or a random fact. We, as students, looked forward to attending to his classes just to know what he had brought for us that day. He was a stern teacher, but everyone appreciated him because he showed an interest in us enjoying his classes. An additional way that educators can make the class stimulating while maintaining student interest is to include voice fluctuations and floor coverage in their lectures. We have all experienced those teachers who never change their voice or their position on the floor during the course of an hour. These monotone voices and stand still positions are almost hypnotizing; students get sluggish and drop curiosity fast. My ideal teacher would use their voice to expand and carry on the students' attention for the whole hour. Using voice to emphasize an important point or even an incident that is being discussed can be very valuable in creating excitement for the students. When a teacher moves about the room, one will notice that the students will focus on the teacher and their eyes will follow. Simply moving their eyes to follow the teacher's pattern of movements can be effective in keeping the student's attention. A teacher could even reenact or act out using body actions for various topics. This would make the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My Most Influential Teacher Throughout my years at Deposit Central School I have had many influential teachers. However, the most influential teacher that I have had is not a school teacher, but a teacher that has taught me the values of life. The definition of a teacher is a person who teaches or instructs. It does not necessarily mean that a teacher is alway part of a school, it means that it is someone who makes a difference and educates you. The most influential teacher that I have encounter is my mom, Stephanie. Teachers play a significant role in shaping and defining a student, and that is what my teacher has done for me. Of course now when we go shopping we all sing to the christmas music. In addition to teaching me character and leadership, she has taught me to help others. It has always been a big part in our family to help others. My mom always asked us if we are willing to help others, and because we have learned that at a young age we always say yes. It always feels good when we help out family members who may not be able to get groceries up their stairs or to rake leaves for them if they can't get outside. Service was a big "subject" that she taught us because it was important to her when she was growing up as well. Another quality that was important to her was teaching us to have goals during school. She never cared what the grade was necessarily, but she cared about the effort that was put into it. I think that made it a lot easier for my sister and I to enjoy school more because we knew if we put in 100% effort then she would be proud of us no matter what. My mom struggled in school because she just never understood some of the subjects, but what she did understand was her drive to beat Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. What makes a good teacher? Essay In my opinion, a good teacher should be one who puts her heart into teaching. This is because only by doing so will the students feel their passion and hard work. When a teacher strives hard for the students, students will put in their effort as well. If a teacher dislikes her job, goes to classes in a bad mood, her teaching would also be affected and students would not be able to enjoy lessons as well. Another point that makes a good teacher would be his/her patience. Teachers should not get upset or even worse, give up on the students who are not so strong in their studies. Instead, they should have the patience to slowly coach them, give them extra lessons, and find different ways to encourage them. Let them know that the teacher...show more content... Everyone else might want to be the sun that lights up your life, but I rather be the moon that guides you through your darkest hours. Let's strive hard and work toward our goal together!" This was what my high school teacher told me 10 years ago and I have remembered it until now, and will remember it for the next 10 years and so on. I was once a problematic kid who mixed with bad company and flunk tests. I never thought about what I was going to do the next day, what more when I grew up. Of course when I was younger, I had lots of dreams. I wanted to set up my own company, I wanted to be a teacher, I wanted to be able to drive an airplane and the list went on. But as the years went by, they became less insignificant to me and soon, I forgot every single one of those dreams and goals. I got to a new school and knew friends who smoke and took drugs. My grades started dropping from "A" to fails. But I did not care. I could not be bothered by then. I went partying every night and got home drunk. What was the point of studying?
