U Career  History   Brushman  India  Pvt.  Ltd,  India  –  Salon  Manager  (Aug  2006  –  Oct  2007)   Brushman   India   is   a   leading   manufacturer   of   paintbrushes   and   distributor   of   hair   cosmetic   products   in   India.   A   national   network   of   2200   distributors   and   1000   sub-­‐dealers   gives   Brushman   one   of   the   strongest   distribution  networks  in  India  in  the  salon  and  cosmetics  business.    Led   the   introduction   of   new   cosmetic   brands   in   a   new   geographic   market   with   specific   responsibility   to  develop  and  execute  strategies  for  brand  promotion  and  customer  attraction.  This  created  brand   recognition  thereby  increasing  revenues  by  over  50%.    Successfully   managed   inventory   planning   based   on   current   sales   and   forecasts.   This   ensured   operational   excellence,   resulted   in   enhanced   customer   satisfaction   and   allowed   aggressive   implementation  of  promotional  activities.    Implemented   strategies   for   building   team   effectiveness   by   promoting   a   spirit   of   cooperation   between  team  members.  This  resulted  in  a  highly  motivated  team  that  strived  to  beat  the  aggressive   revenue  forecasts  set  for  the  operations.     National  Agriculture  Food  Analysis  and  Research  Institute  India  –  Food  Analyst  (Oct  2005  –  Jun  2006)   NAFARI   is   an   autonomous,   not   for   profit   sharing   organisation   providing   various   services   in   Food   Analysis,   Consultancy  and  trainings  for  the  Food  Industry  in  India.  NAFARI  has  a  nationally  accredited  laboratory  for   Chemical  and  Microbiological  Analyses  of  food  products.    Conducted  training  in  specialised  food  analysis  increasing  the  visibility  of  NAFARI  amongst  the  food   and  beverage  industry.    Conducted   qualitative   and   quantitative   analysis   of   standardised   tests   to   determine   physical   and   chemical   properties   of   food   and   beverage   products.   The   analysis   ensured   that   the   products   conformed  100%  to  national  and  international  standards  like  FDA  and  USDA.    Managed   sensory   evaluation   tests   to   determine   palatability   and   customer   appeal   of   the   food   product   adding   another   testing   parameter   to   the   analyses   done   by   NAFARI   thereby   creating   new   business  opportunities.     First  Fitness  Health  Centre  –  Part  time  –  Dietician  (May  2005  –  Apr  2006)    Developed   individual   nutrition   plans   for   clients   by   analysing   their   lifestyle.   By   stressing   diet   and   lifestyle  modifications,  encouraged  customers  to  lead  a  healthy  lifestyle  and  thereby  contributed  to   customer  satisfaction.    Designed   programs,   which   included   outdoor   activities   like   trekking   and   cycling   at   weekends   thus   providing   clients   with   variety   in   their   exercise   regime.   This   resulted   in   a   niche   service   marketing   strategy  attracting  30%  new  customers.     Dr.Leena’s  Health  Centre  –  Part  time  –  Dietician  (Mar  2003  –  Feb  2005)    Prepared   diet   plans   that   were   tailored   according   to   physician’s   consultation.   Designed,   executed   exercise   plans   catering   individual   abilities   and   requirements.   This   also   included   training   and   monitoring.  Monitored  progress  of  each  client  systematically  guiding  them  to  attain  their  individual   health  goals.     Hindustan  Coca-­‐Cola  Beverages  Pvt.  Ltd  –  Internship  (Dec  2004)    Conducted   a   study   in   dimensional   and   safety   checks   on   bottles   to   comply   with   specifications   and   inspection  procedures  for  manufacturing  damage.     Cadbury  India  Pvt.  Ltd  –  Internship  (Nov  2004)    Conducted  a  traceability  analysis  and  de-­‐moulding  efficiency  of  24  grams  chocolate  bars.  Suggested   technical  solutions  improving  the  efficiency  up  to  20%.
