This settlement having an interesting history, marked by several dramatic shifts within their
demographics, along with a post-1990 era.
A highly particular note which marked the development of these village was the presence of
German settlers, and Kashubians –only in Tariverde, that settled here in the 19th century, leaving a
still-visible contribution to the place’s architectural landscape. Tariverde, named Dorotea in the past,
has its most iconic building (Saint Peter and Paul Church) erected by the Lutheran Germans that settled about
two centuries ago into the village.
The architectural styles vernacular to Tariverde, can be described by using a multitude of criteria, like etnichal origins:
German homes, Bulgarians, Turkish, Romanians, and later of Aromanians.
The story of the Tariverde Germans starts with 44 families that came and settled within the village, all of them came from
southern Bessarabia, most of which traced their family roots back to Wurttemberg, Prussia, Bavaria and Poland.
Almost all were of Swabian stock, with a few Kashubians among them. Kashubians are a
Slavic group native to the region around the city of Gdańsk in Poland.

Conclusion:Conclusion:
One of the best examples of interculturality is having four different cultures cohabitating – the Romanian, the Aromanian,
the German and the Turkish one here in Tariverde. As a result, interculturality might be defined as a set of processes
through which relations between different cultures are constructed. The aim is to enable groups and individuals who
belong to such cultures within a single society or geopolitical entity to forge links based on equity and mutual respect.
Interculturality must not be seen as something general but rather as a phenomenon of many facets
that together form a unit, although the facets may be considered separately from certain angles and in certain lights.
In exploring linguistic diversity or seeking to understand
the importance of the media, the relevant facet of interculturality is centred on communication issues. ².
