Sam FM is a radio station that broadcasts in parts of southern England. It was originally launched in 2006 as Original 106 but was later rebranded as The Coast 106 and then Jack FM. In 2015, it was rebranded again as Sam FM. As Sam FM, it targets adults aged 25-44 and plays music without taking requests, as its strapline "We're In Charge" suggests. Sam FM is owned by Celador and broadcasts locally on the south coast, in Bristol, and Swindon.
2. IntroductionIntroduction
In our media studies lessons we have researched radio
stations, there target audience, the purpose of this radio
station and the things they broadcast. In our groups we
got given a radio station to look at mine being Sam FM,
however Sam FM is quite new so I was not able to find a
lot of information about it.
