Nulook Bounce-N-Party Narrative Report
November 9, 2015 through November 23, 2015, I continued interning at the Nulook Bounce–n–
Party located in Winterville, NC. The previous two weeks consisted of me working and completing
basic employee duties and procedures. I have completed plenty of hours, and I have also completed
my multimedia projects. When I begin working in the field of Multimedia Arts, I should be ready.
Viewing my designs gives me happiness and fulfillment because it reminds me that I will be
creating and designing additional projects in the future. During the week of November 9, 2015
through November 13, I spent time at home and at the Nulook Bounce–n–Party facility. The
building is still undergoing renovations. But the flat–screen televisions installed in the building has
been a hit for the children since they can now watch their favorite cartoon shows or play in the
bounce houses, giving the kids double the entertainment. Whenever customers enter the building,
you can just see the amazement on their faces. During the two weeks, I continued to work
independently at the facility. It is still slow during the week, so only one employee is on shift. While
working individually, I have become more confident in assisting children in bouncers, checking ...

I have experienced professionalism and it has connected me towards my goals. I have learned how
to accept responsibilities for my duties, I am more familiar with the facility's procedures, and I have
accepted the store's methods and dressed appropriately for all visits to Nulook Bounce–n–Party. I
have consulted with my practicum supervisor when confronted with issues I could not resolve
independently. For instance, the issue with the customer who did not pay for her remaining balance.
In addition to consulting with my practicum supervisor, asking for help has been one of my main
problems for a long time, but I have improved on getting help when I need it the

Examples Of Fear In East Of Eden
In the novel East of Eden many examples show just how powerful fear can be if used for selfish
gain or as a defence mechanism. Fear being one of the biggest overtones (if not the biggest) allows
us to see how huge an influence fear can be in a person's life, as with Cathy the main antagonist who
lives to hold the fear of her blackmailing someone and men's sexual desires over their heads to attain
whatever her twisted desires are. Cathy the embodiment of evil in the novel, who lives by fear is
found consistently using it to her advantage to apprehend whatever her black corrupted heart desires
from the unsuspecting people around her. Often times she would blackmail men and uses sex as her
weapon of destruction, her blackmailing these men often led to them committing suicide due to the
impending stress that she implements in their lives, in the beginning of the novel Cathy preys on her
lust driven teacher and eventually drives him to suicide and lures school boys into a barn where her
mother finds her tied up with her skirt ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Summary: Baby Exersaucer Jumper Bouncer
This toy is called the, "Baby Exersaucer Jumper Bouncer" and the manufacturer is Evenflo a foreign
company in the U.S that designs safe baby products.
This toy addresses the Sensorimotor stage of Piaget's theory.
No this toy isn't gender specific, however there are different models in which some genders may
prefer over the other. Different models would include different toys, and colour.
This toy is age appropriate because there's a seat that helps the child develop their leg muscle as
they can't support themselves at that age. Each leg that supports the upper half of the toy supports
movement by the baby which allows for muscle development. The sensorimotor stage involves
learning from touching and using the senses a human possesses. Also

Fordham University Observation
Going to Fordham University, I've always heard about the student friendly bars located nearby
campus. I figured the colorful social dynamic at these bars would make for important observations
that I couldn't pass up. The Friday night ritual of going to the bars sounded as if it had its own
mythos, with police raids replacing great floods and bouncers replacing riddle–making sphinxes. As
such, I decided to leave campus on a Friday at around 11 pm to go to an area with multiple bars that
were known to admit Fordham students under the age of 21. Essentially, I observed the act of "going
out". On the way to the bars I noticed a large, but hard to spot, exchange of people, ideas and even
items. Most people moved in large flocks that tended to fuse and split spontaneously. There were
parallel floods of students going out and returning home. From what I heard while eavesdropping,
some students told others about what lay ahead––for instance, "cover charges" at bars, or people
they weren't fond of––and others about ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What appeared to be the main bar was situated on a corner, while two other ones were to adjacent to
each other on the next block and on the opposite side of the street. I focused my attention on the
more important bar on the street corner. It comprised the first floor of a rugged, two story brick
building. A long line of students, starting at the open door of the bar, snaked along the front of the
building and around the sidewalk on its left side. I got in line and waited about five minutes to get
up to the door. This was perhaps the most critical part of "going out". Once it was my turn to enter
the bar, I was approached by the bouncer. He was a tall, barrel–chested man with a wisp of hair on
his head and a crooked nose. I showed this man my license. He nodded upon seeing the year "1996",
accepting my age as good enough, and proceeded to pat me down to make sure I didn't have any

It was time for the three to buy their tickets. They approached the brightly lit ticket booth with LED
lights at the perimeter of the booth. It was like Christmas arrived early. "Good bought would you
like a ticket?" The bouncer's voice sounded tired and sluggish as if the words he spoke has weight.
"Obviously right? Now give us three tickets for the fair and we will be out of your hair." Conners
was impatient and hurriedly ordered the bouncer to give them the tickets. "That would be five teen
bucks please–" "Here you go." Amy snatched the tickets and tossed the money through the small
opening at the counter. Soon they were on their way. Two security guards stood outside the gate and
a teenage boy was in front collecting the tickets from the people entering. Hurriedly, Amy handed
the tickets to the teenage boy and they ran last the guards and into the fair. "And welcome to Star
Light Fair!" Conner declared as they walked in. The place wara packed with people swarming here

Premature Infant Observation
Having the opportunity to watch a child grow over this past semester was a real eye opener. I was
able to see this particular infant hit a couple of developmental milestones for her age. My
environment was the Infant B classroom having infants ages, 6 months to 12 months. My particular
target child was almost one when I started analyzing her. Talking to the caregivers, I found that she
was premature and has a twin brother. I was able to watch the infant go from not being able to eat
off a spoon, only be able to sit in a bouncer and not being to crawl at all to being able to slowly each
from a spoon, put one foot in front another while a caregiver holding her hands and become mobile
crawling a way that benefits her. Being a premature infant,

The Problem Of Teen Drinking
Every 51 minutes in America, someone is killed in a drunk driving crash. A dangerous issue facing
society today is the problem of teen drinking and driving. Currently an approximate of 10,076
people die in drunk driving crashes per year. If positive progress to ceasing this act does not happen,
teens will continue to drink and drive putting everybody on the road at risk. Teens who drink and
drive put everyone on the road at risk, causing serious crashes that could be preventable.
Background of the Problem A major factor contributing to alcohol–related car accidents is binge
drinking. Teenage drinking is not legal, therefore teens usually cannot drink whenever they want.
When teens do drink, they often times drink to get drunk on the ... Show more content on

Fake IDs are often very effective because they are not always taken seriously in the bouncer world.
There are approximately more fake IDs than real that are used on college campuses. A Her Campus
survey found that "54.5% of readers surveyed had or currently have a fake ID" (Collins, 2012, p. 2).
The people guarding the doors at clubs and bars aren't always equipped to spot fake IDs. In an
interview, FIRST NAME Shubaly, a New York bouncer, quoted "I never received any formal how–
to–spot–a–fake–ID training" (Goldberg, 2009, p. 5). The rate that underaged people are getting into
clubs factors into how easy it is for teens to get alcohol, which only increases the risk of a teen to get
behind the wheel while under the influence, even if they were not planning on drinking that night.
Teens who take on the responsibility of being a designated driver are sometimes still pressured into
drinking. Teens who get peer pressured into drinking when they know they had a responsibility to
drive later often still do. Some teens decide to drink a little bit at parties so it looks like they are
trying to get drunk to other teens around them in order to look or feel cool. "While 71% of teens
have tried alcohol by the end of high school, far fewer drink to get drunk" (Barker, 2013, p. 6).
When a teen gives into peer pressure or takes "just one sip," they do not always know what they are
getting themselves into. "Most kids wildly overestimate the prevalence of

the bouncers bar he looked rather annoyed but surprisingly gentle when he pulled Rosie's fingers

William Shakespeare 's ' The Shadows '

it seemed that everywhere she went to shadows made an effort to follow. When she was alone in the
restroom the shadows started inching their way towards her in what seemed like an effort to

Why The Drinking Age Should Be Changed
The feasibility of why the drinking age should be changed from 21 to 18 can be shown in a variety
of reasons, which would show that the drinking age should be changed. If this law was changed it
would benefit several people for it would create less stress for certain people and it simply makes
sense to change it. Although there will be a few people that may not agree with it, although the
reasons that will be shared can help change those people's minds. By changing this law it will help
this country out by putting the stress level of cops down, it will help out the economy, people at that
age are considered to be adults, less binge drinking incidents, less drunk driving fatalities, eliminate
people underage to feel the excitement of drinking illegally, less fake IDs and it will also help there
to be less underage drinking that will happen. Overall this will just create stuff like this that will help
improve this country. The reason for this is there will be a great amount of less people that are
underage drinking for people needing to worry about. When it comes to the drinking age it has been
talked about for numerous years in which it should be changed or kept where it is at. With the
drinking age is people can argue this issue for both sides of it, which this makes it tough to bring
forth any changes for the drinking age. This issue can cause a great deal of problems for the United
States as there are people fighting for the government to change the drinking age

Android Platform & Malware Software
These Aren't the Smartphones You Think They Are
1. Introduction:
In this paper the discussion is about Android platform & malware software. It has a wide range of
vulnerabilities, one of the main reason is any developer can upload an application in the android
store without any restrictions as apple does. The main theme was to find vulnerability in android
operating system and to research in depth to find the reason that made the system vulnerable.
Android is a complete operating environment based upon the Linux V2.6 Kernel. Initially the
deployment target for android was the mobile–phone arena, including smart phones and lower–cost
flip–phone devices. However, Android 's full range of computing services and rich functional
support has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Later this attack got exploited for performing remote execution to take control over user device.
The research was extended to Google Bouncer also called as defender, a strategy adopted by Google
Inc. in order to defend against malicious app uploaded in the play store. The most important and key
point in this part of research was Google policy of "Security by Obscurity" in order to defend
against malicious app upload (i.e.) everything was functioning properly until the defence mechanism
got revealed by the Finger printing attack by two security researchers in order to understand the
security of the bouncer.
Cross site scripting is one of the most frequent cyber–attacks and it ranked number three in the
OWASP top ten for the current year (2013), it is very simple to trick the user to click on a malicious
link the attacker has even more advantage if the user is browsing in the phone, The one more
interesting thing to be noted in Android is in order to increase the usability it doesn't give an on–
device prompt for the user, if the user is logged in the desktop. The attacker simply needs to know is
the legitimate users credentials associated with the Google account.
Android and IOS differs in the way of providing security to the devices. The main difference is IOS
provides security to the apps in the app–store, by signing it (i.e.) no app can enter the Apple's app–
store without Apple's approval. This is not in the case of android the

Crystal Bar Case Study
Issue: Did the Crystal Bar, the defense, breach its duty to exercise reasonable care to protect
Harrington, the plaintiff, from the harm of another patron of the bar? (citing elements of Nevin v.
Carlasco, 139 Mont. 512, 514, 365 P.2d 637, 638 (1961)) Facts: At 1 am on October 7th, 2007
Dennis Harrington went to enter the Crystal Bar. While in line, he talked about the qualifications it
would take to be a bouncer. Duane Aune was carding people at the door during this conversation,
Jason Howard, a friend of Aune's, took offense to what Harrington said. Howard was a qualified

to leave multiple times. Howard said that Harrington pointed at him and indicated that he wanted to
go outside and fight. Harrington said this was not true in his affidavit. Howard went out with
Harrington because "he challenged me to a fight". Because Saunders was aware there was a
potential problem, he made sure Harrington left the premises. Saunders shut the front door behind
them, but it had been open all evening. Howard then punched Harrington in the head, and
Harrington fell into a car, smacking his head against it in the fall. Harrington was then unconscious.

Live theatre review of Bouncers Essay
Bouncers; 17th of October at High Wycombe Swan Theatre.
Bouncers is a comical, yet serious dive into urban nightlife. The actors use multi–role to play a
variety of different characters with hilarious results. Throughout the updated version of the play,
John Godber (original writer and director) highlighted his intentions through Lucky Eric's daunting
monologues; we still drink too much as a society today. Nonetheless, the dated stereotypes and the
use of Frank Sinatra and 'Thriller' did make the play feel slightly dated.
The play list seemed to be the most updated part of Bouncers; the current music, including artists
like LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, Stooshe and Rihanna, was very popular with the predominately young
audience. The pace of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The steps used coming down the platform and going up was a great way for the actors to show their
characterisation; for example, Sexy Susie (Bhatti) had great trouble coming down the steps in her
killer heels whilst Ralph (Bhatti) took each step casually but eloquently.
Ilkley, Reddington, Bhatti and Gilet executed the Brechtian style of acting almost perfectly. They
immediately alienated the audience from feeling any kind of emotional connection to the characters;
we were introduced at the very beginning and were constantly reminded of who was who through
heightened gestures, vocal changes and direct address. However, Lucky Eric's daunting monologues,
delivered perfectly by Ian Reddington, gave us some sort of emotional connection with the play
itself. Godber uses Brecht's style for more of a comic effect as opposed to snatching away emotional
connection. The four actors changed from role–to–role excellently with clear characterisation; Bhatti
did outstandingly well in changing from the high–pitched and very girly, Sexy Susie to the low–
pitched, macho–aggressive bouncer, Ralph.
The use of ASYLUM, older actors and Yorkshire accents suggests that John Godber had a very
heavy input. The original Bouncers, first performed in 1977, was set in Godber's hometown; Hull.
Also, ASYLUM is an actual nightclub in Hull. However, Les' (Gilet) cockney accent suggests that
Godber realised that there is now a mix of accents and

Analysis Of The Movie ' Dope '
I recently watched the Netflix movie, Dope, a coming–of–age movie that doubles as a parody and a
dedication to the 1990s–vintage ghetto generation. Malcolm and his friends Jib and Diggy are nerdy
high school seniors who bond over anything '90s related, play music together in their punk band,
and have grown up together in "The Bottoms," in Inglewood, California. Malcolm was trying to
escape a gang one day when he had an encounter with a neighborhood drug dealer named Dom.
Dom ended up invited him to his birthday party, and with hesitation, Malcolm and his friends decide
to go. After an eventful night, Malcolm and his friends later discover that Dom had stashed a
handgun and a large amount of drugs in his backpack to hide it from the police who raided the party.
The rest of the movie plays out into a war over the drugs that Malcolm accidentally possessed.
Malcolm ends up selling the drugs and promises Dom's prominent supplier, who was also
coincidentally Malcolm's college interviewer, the profits made from the drugs. Malcolm makes this
deal with him only as long as he helps Malcolm achieve his goal of getting into Harvard. Malcolm
ends up setting up the supplier with the police while still getting into Harvard and finally being able
to get out of the hood. In terms of black masculinity, Malcolm counteracts the hyper–aggressive
stereotypes that some have in their head about young African–American men. In the movie Dope,
numerous aspects of intersectionality are represented in

Benedick Bouncer
Although upon initial investigation, Benedick does not appear to be a "bouncer", because of his
loyalty to the members of his group, his brash nature towards people not in his group, and his
inability to understand the true motivations and manipulations of others, it is apparent that he fits a
large majority of the criteria. In Act 2 Scene 1, his brash nature is incredibly evident. Particularly,
when Beatrice and Claudio approach him and the prince and he begs the prince to "command [him]
any service to the world's end," then saying that he will "go on the slightest errand to the Antipodes
that [the prince] could devise to send [him] on" (2.1.259–62). This aggressive statement spoken to
the prince, yet directed at Beatrice firmly asserts his position ... Show more content on

Knowing that Don Pedro (the group's mastermind) and Claudio (the group's associate) do not
disagree with her presence within within the social sphere, he is aware that he cannot outright reject
her position. Yet, he believes that she should not be a part and so he pleads for an excuse to leave her
presence. Interesting word play in the statement adds to the harshness of the words. The word
"Antipodes" can be used to imply the areas of Australia and New Zealand, which the statement
would later seem to imply when he starts naming other places he would be willing to go (i.e. Asia,
the Pygmies, etc.), but the word can also mean the exact opposite of something. So, what he is really
saying is he would like to be in the place farthest away from Beatrice. Offended that she called him
"the Prince's jester [and] a very dull fool" (2.1.135–36), Benedick

Nightclub Observation Essay
Over the weekend I took a trip to san Francisco to observe the nightlife in nightclubs, particularly
the social relations between security guards and the general public coming inside the venue. Most
people picture bouncers as these big individuals who always seem strict. Some people view security
guards as police figures so the general public tend to follow what he or she has to say. Over the
course of two nights going to a nightclub as an observer, women bouncers are hard to come across
and when there is one, she is usually inside handling females who misbehave. Security guards in
nightclubs always intrigue me as why they're always in a bad mood and unresponsive. When I
observed the social relations between security guards and intoxicated people throughout the night,
who come into their venue, my question received its solution. Inside a nightclub has very loud
music, and warm temperatures which made most people very sweaty inside. Intoxicated individuals
who like to party in nightclubs tend to get a little rowdy and most of them do not listen to reasoning
by their people and the employers. Conversations are really hard to have inside a nightclub so I tend
to see a lot of people step outside or go to a corner to conversate. There was a time when a security
guard walked someone outside and tried to explain his reasoning behind it, but the drunken man
couldn't understand what the bouncer was informing him. This made the bouncer very moody and
impatient.

try to make his dream become reality. Eddie soon met a girl and she taught him a few things on the
guitar. He also got a job as a bouncer. Eddie and his girlfriend bought an apartment and they moved

Keeping The New Law : Michael 's Law
As I was making my way downtown, walking fast, faces passed and I was home bound, I realized
the opportunity I was missing last Friday night, to observe the nightlife of our beautiful city of
Athens. Now, the nightlife of any town is full of people bustling about to and fro. Bar hopping,
partying, or just walking down the streets and enjoying the atmosphere. Athens is no different than
any other town, but upon further observation I found something that was quite concerning. This may
seem like a juvenile or a predictable place to start, if you know anything about Athens itself, but it is
home to a quite questionable moral. Many observations made while sitting and waiting downtown,
consisted of stumbling, screaming, smiles, tears, and lots of laughter from these seemingly unrelated
clusters of people. Most of these people appear to be under the age of twenty one, which is a big
deal considering the new law "Michael's Law" requiring bars to be 21 and over in Georgia. One boy
was on the curb attempting to talk to a police officer through crocodile tears and hyperventilation.
Call me crazy, but it is doubtful he was crying over a parking citation at 1:30 in the morning,
reeking of alcohol. It can be inferred he was receiving a Minor in Possession of Alcohol, but it could
be a parking citation. Another girl, was on the phone screaming, "You don't even love me, why you
can't just get that it was a onetime thing! Oh my God," in stereotypical sorority girl fashion.

Liability over Damages Case
The celebration party our company held for our staff and clients got out of control and our hired
bouncer surpassed the terms of his contract. The bouncer at our party was a work–for–hire
employee, making him work on behalf of Entertainment 720 Inc. His brute and excessive force used
on one of the uninvited guests violated the agreement we had made with him, which had caused the
crashers to sue our company. Under Respondeat Superior, an employer is liable for the torts
committed by an employee acting within the scopes of their employer. We had hired this bouncer to
keep any uninvited guests out and ensure safety for the party. Although we had instructed the
bouncer not to use brute force, we will most likely be found liable for his actions. It would be
considered a battery tort because there was no threat, just assault of the individual. Employment
status does not matter in this case because they were working on behalf of our company, and even if
the bouncer felt threatened he should not have beaten up the crasher. Next time we will hire part
time policemen or well–known and trustworthy bouncers to keep our party safe and the attendees in
order. Our company unfortunately rushed into an agreement to buy a warehouse from another
company going out of business. Without knowing prior to the purchase, the previous company had
been responsible for environmental spills at the warehouse, which we are now being held
accountable for. Virginia is a buy–or–beware state, so

"You will just have to wait and find out." Sam replies.

Sam links her arm through mine and we head out.

Young Soul Rebels Essay
What is the relationship between masculinity, homosexuality, and race? Isaac Julien's film Young
Soul Rebels tells the story of the friendship between Chris and Caz–two young, black man growing
up in England in the 1970's who run an illegal soul radio station together. Their friendship is put
through a series of trials when Caz's friend, TJ (who, like Caz is gay) is murdered, and Chris is
wrongfully named a suspect. This film examines the interactions of a variety of youth subcultures
that were prevalent in the UK during this time period; namely punks, soulboys, and skinheads.
Within these interactions, tensions regarding gender, sexuality, and race also come into play. Caz's
position as a dark–skinned, gay male is significant given the associations that many of the characters

Hickey notes that early race science still holds influence over how our modern, white–centric
culture views black male bodies. Early race science marked black male bodies as being sexually
dangerous and voracious, which has caused modern culture to view black men as being both violent
and hypersexual. In addition, the obsession that race scientists had with black male genitalia led to
the hypermasculinization of black men that we still continue to see in mainstream culture and media
today by only reducing black men to their sexual parts that define them as being male. The viewer
can observe the effects of these stereotypes when Caz and Billibud first enter the gay club. Caz is
fetishized almost immediately by white men. A man who Caz does not know approaches him and
strokes his arm repeatedly without his consent. Caz

Anderson's No-Blinking
For the 'light a scene' assignment it was decided to recreate the lighting from a scene in Paul Thomas
Anderson's: 'The Master'. The infamous 'No–Blinking' scene focuses on the processing of Freddy
Quell (Joaquin Phoenix) by 'The Master' (Phillip Seymour Hoffman). It mimics the style of an
interegation with its minimal lighting, which may appear as simple yet extremely effective in
creating a ominous atmosphere throughout the scene.
The 'No–Blinking' scene is extremely similar to an interrogation and this is refelcted in the lighting
(See Fig 1).To create this feeling the scene relies upon lighting empahises on the face contrasted
with the heavy shadows in the background (See Fig 2 & 3). Overall, with this lighting this focus is

The allure of the scene was that the lighting in the scene placed strong emphasis on the face yet it
was so heavily contrasted against the background of the scene. However, recreating the lighing did
prove to be more challanging than expected. A single LED light was placed to the subjects side but
it was noticed that only one side of the fact was lit, while the other side was in complete shadows.
Compared to the refrence scene it was noticed that while the actor did have one side that was in
shade, there is a slight hitting the side of the nose and cheenk. While a fill light was considered, it
was ultimately decided to use a bouncer to relect the existing LED light to the side of the face. As
the results from the use of a bouncer created a visually striking light on the subject, it was also
deciced to incoporate the use of a second bouncer (See Fig 5–8). With this one, the LED light was
faced the opposite direction to the subject onto a bouncer, which relfected the light back onto the
subject (See Fig 9). Ulimately, with the use of a single LED light and two bouncers, the 'No–
Blinking' scene from Paul Thomas Andersons 'The Master' was able to be successfully recreated

Malware And The Android Os
Malware and the Android OS
Abstract–If you take a quick visit to https://www.android.com , one of the first things you will see is
the company's claim that their operating system powers more than a billion devices across the globe.
These devices include phones, tablets, watches, TVs, cars and more to come. Smartphones are used
in many ways to include accessing sensitive documents, banking and controlling security systems.
Various sources indicate that the smartphone market space is dominated by devices running the
popular Android operating system. Two of the reasons why the Android OS is so popular is because
of its open architecture and its application programming interface, or APIs. With such popularity,
unscrupulous code developers see these devices as an opportunity to take advantage of unsuspecting
users. Malware apps have drastically increased from 2010 to 2014 from a little over 1200 known
variants to well over 1.5 million with over 90% of those designed for the Android OS. With such a
large amount of malware and the majority of it designed for the Android OS, this paper will look at
some of the various types of malware and the different methods of how they are deployed. We will
also look at some of the methods employed to detect and defend against malware and the
effectiveness of those methods.

Summit Bar Case Study
Participants in nightlife go out searching for a good time. This is no different, possibly even more
pronounced, in downtown Iowa City. Club owners and bouncers control the environment and
climate in which club–goers accept norms and social boundaries of the night. The Summit Bar is an
infamous freshman and fraternity bar in Iowa City. Anyone who is looking to drink underage usually
turns to "Summit" because it is "eighteen to get in, twenty–one to drink". What is fascinating about
Summit is the door policies the bouncers apply when choosing who to let into their bar and more
importantly who choose to deny, which in turn creates a cycle of social inequality. Due to the fact
that Summit is generally known as a freshman and fraternity bar, it ... Show more content on

At Summit, a customer must be 21 to get a wristband, which enables a customer to order alcohol. If
a customer is under 21, they receive permanent marker X's on their hands. Fake ID's are an issue in
every college town. Students purchase expensive and impressive ID's off of the internet. Fake ID's
may be even more relevant in Iowa City where the bar scene is so important to the culture of the
city. The bouncer I interviewed from Summit confided in me that he accepts fake ID's, even if he
knows they are fake, as long as the ID has the persons photo on it ("Summit Bouncer", 2016). In
Iowa, having a fake ID that may have been ordered from a website illegally, is considered a felony.
This crime is punishable with jail time, fines, and results in being added to the "no–fly" list. Fake
ID's with one's face on them are widely accepted in Iowa City, opposed to the alternative. The
alternative is getting an old ID from a friend or relative who has turned 21 and may look similar to
you. Upon asking the bouncer what he thinks of these ID's, he said he turns almost all of them away.
Using this kind of fake ID is a simple misdemeanor in Iowa, resulting in fines and possibly
probation for repeat offenders. Freshman bars are usually described as freshman bars because they
are so lenient on fake ID's (May, 2014). Iowa City culture provides a different look at a freshman
bar, many freshmen in dorms order large amounts of fake ID's at a time

Racial Discrimination In Workplace Essay
As human beings, it is instinctual to be social beings by frequenting social restaurants, nightclubs,
and bars. It seems as with each passing year these establishments are becoming more and more
diverse. However, despite each establishment claiming to be openly diverse, can they still practice
discrimination against individuals of different races? In this paper, we will be analyzing an audit
study conducted to determine whether racial discrimination is practiced in a popular nighttime bar.
Literature Review
I want to begin by defining race. Race is a simple social construct that was used to create an order to
exploit individuals that did not look European (Gallagher, 2009). This simple social construct has

The last article is interesting as it emphasizes that in order for any minority to avoid being
discriminated against, they have to modify their racial identity.
Our group decided to further research discrimination in a popular bar. We decided to conduct our
study in a bar as bars are extremely popular and are increasingly becoming more diverse. According
to de Bruin (2011) an individual can only have a full positive experience at a nightclub bar if they
blend in the crowd, by wearing the standard clothing and embracing the culture of the bar. De Bruin
informs us that despite minorities possibly being met with resistance at first, if they look and dress
like every other individual in the bar they would fit in.
Method
My groupmates and I decided to conduct our audit study at the famous 360 Midtown Bar, as this
specific bar has had racial allegations, where they have discriminated against ethnic minorities. Just
two years ago the bar was known as the Gaslamp, and it had to be renovated as they were faced with
a lawsuit for discriminating against black civilians. In order to conduct our audit study thoroughly,
we broke down our experiment into two parts. First, we plan on having our male groupmates whom

The Night I Was Nobody Analysis
The first major step to stopping racial inequality happened on December 6th, 1865 which is the day
the 13th amendment was ratified which abolished slavery in the United States. However, just merely
abolishing slavery did not help all the African Americans in the country because they were still
being treated like second class citizens in the country that stated that all men are created equal and
entitled to the same rights as anyone else. So in the wake of the black code and Jim Crow laws, the
civil rights act of 1866 was created. It stated that everyone no matter of their race all citizens should
be treated equally, they hoped to stop the racial prejudice that was plaguing the United States. Now,

Often it happens just this way, just that suddenly. Particularly if you are a black man in America.
Race and racism are a force larger than individuals, more powerful than law or education or
government or the church, a force able to wipe these institutions away in the charged moments,
minuscule or mountainous, when black and white come face to face" (888). No one should ever feel
like who they are as a person does not matter any more, but that is exactly what racism does. It takes
people of color and ignores everything about them except they color of their skin– a physical
attribute that cannot be controlled by anyone. The color of someone's skin should not define a
person and by taking off his hat, Wideman would essentially be saying it does because they don't
care about who he is just what they want to see. No one of color should feel like their race defines
who they are because it shouldn't. Race should not be a limit to someone. It should make someone
feel proud because each race brings something different to the world. No one should believe that
racism is a force that can shatter everything that the humans have built because it isn't. The only way
racism or racist can truly effect anyone is if society lets it, but as long as there are people who stand
against it racism will never win out over

Capone's Big Jim: Colosimo As A Bouncer
At about 20 years of age, Capone left New York for Chicago at the invitation of Johnny Torrio, who
was imported by crime boss James "Big Jim" Colosimo as an enforcer. Capone began in Chicago as
a bouncer in a brothel, where he contracted syphilis. Timely use of Salvarsan probably could have
cured the infection, but he apparently never sought treatment.[15] In 1923, he purchased a small
house at 7244 South Prairie Avenue in the Park Manor neighborhood on the city's south side for
US$5,500.[16] In the early years of the decade, Capone's name began appearing in newspaper sports
pages, where he was described as a boxing promoter.[17]
Chicago's location on Lake Michigan gave access to a vast inland territory, and it was well–served
by railroads.

Nulook Bounce-N-Party Narrative Report

  • 1. Nulook Bounce-N-Party Narrative Report November 9, 2015 through November 23, 2015, I continued interning at the Nulook Bounce–n– Party located in Winterville, NC. The previous two weeks consisted of me working and completing basic employee duties and procedures. I have completed plenty of hours, and I have also completed my multimedia projects. When I begin working in the field of Multimedia Arts, I should be ready. Viewing my designs gives me happiness and fulfillment because it reminds me that I will be creating and designing additional projects in the future. During the week of November 9, 2015 through November 13, I spent time at home and at the Nulook Bounce–n–Party facility. The building is still undergoing renovations. But the flat–screen televisions installed in the building has been a hit for the children since they can now watch their favorite cartoon shows or play in the bounce houses, giving the kids double the entertainment. Whenever customers enter the building, you can just see the amazement on their faces. During the two weeks, I continued to work independently at the facility. It is still slow during the week, so only one employee is on shift. While working individually, I have become more confident in assisting children in bouncers, checking ... I have learned how to accept responsibilities for my duties, I am more familiar with the facility's procedures, and I have accepted the store's methods and dressed appropriately for all visits to Nulook Bounce–n–Party. I have consulted with my practicum supervisor when confronted with issues I could not resolve independently. For instance, the issue with the customer who did not pay for her remaining balance. In addition to consulting with my practicum supervisor, asking for help has been one of my main problems for a long time, but I have improved on getting help when I need it the ... • 2. Examples Of Fear In East Of Eden In the novel East of Eden many examples show just how powerful fear can be if used for selfish gain or as a defence mechanism. Fear being one of the biggest overtones (if not the biggest) allows us to see how huge an influence fear can be in a person's life, as with Cathy the main antagonist who lives to hold the fear of her blackmailing someone and men's sexual desires over their heads to attain whatever her twisted desires are. Cathy the embodiment of evil in the novel, who lives by fear is found consistently using it to her advantage to apprehend whatever her black corrupted heart desires from the unsuspecting people around her. Often times she would blackmail men and uses sex as her weapon of destruction, her blackmailing these men often led to them committing suicide due to the impending stress that she implements in their lives, in the beginning of the novel Cathy preys on her lust driven teacher and eventually drives him to suicide and lures school boys into a barn where her mother finds her tied up with her skirt ... • 3. Summary: Baby Exersaucer Jumper Bouncer This toy is called the, "Baby Exersaucer Jumper Bouncer" and the manufacturer is Evenflo a foreign company in the U.S that designs safe baby products. This toy addresses the Sensorimotor stage of Piaget's theory. No this toy isn't gender specific, however there are different models in which some genders may prefer over the other. Different models would include different toys, and colour. This toy is age appropriate because there's a seat that helps the child develop their leg muscle as they can't support themselves at that age. Each leg that supports the upper half of the toy supports movement by the baby which allows for muscle development. The sensorimotor stage involves learning from touching and using the senses a human possesses. Also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Fordham University Observation Going to Fordham University, I've always heard about the student friendly bars located nearby campus. I figured the colorful social dynamic at these bars would make for important observations that I couldn't pass up. The Friday night ritual of going to the bars sounded as if it had its own mythos, with police raids replacing great floods and bouncers replacing riddle–making sphinxes. As such, I decided to leave campus on a Friday at around 11 pm to go to an area with multiple bars that were known to admit Fordham students under the age of 21. Essentially, I observed the act of "going out". On the way to the bars I noticed a large, but hard to spot, exchange of people, ideas and even items. Most people moved in large flocks that tended to fuse and split spontaneously. There were parallel floods of students going out and returning home. From what I heard while eavesdropping, some students told others about what lay ahead––for instance, "cover charges" at bars, or people they weren't fond of––and others about ... What appeared to be the main bar was situated on a corner, while two other ones were to adjacent to each other on the next block and on the opposite side of the street. I focused my attention on the more important bar on the street corner. It comprised the first floor of a rugged, two story brick building. A long line of students, starting at the open door of the bar, snaked along the front of the building and around the sidewalk on its left side. I got in line and waited about five minutes to get up to the door. This was perhaps the most critical part of "going out". Once it was my turn to enter the bar, I was approached by the bouncer. He was a tall, barrel–chested man with a wisp of hair on his head and a crooked nose. I showed this man my license. He nodded upon seeing the year "1996", accepting my age as good enough, and proceeded to pat me down to make sure I didn't have any drinks on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

"Sorry Conner, Reid stabbed by Sugar Rush to get a lolly." Amy apologetically frowned at Conner and turned to Reid. The lolly pop was inside his mouth. Conners was impatient and hurriedly ordered the bouncer to give them the tickets. "That would be five teen bucks please–" "Here you go." Amy snatched the tickets and tossed the money through the small opening at the counter. Soon they were on their way. Two security guards stood outside the gate and a teenage boy was in front collecting the tickets from the people entering. Hurriedly, Amy handed the tickets to the teenage boy and they ran last the guards and into the fair. "And welcome to Star Light Fair!" Conner declared as they walked in. The place wara packed with people swarming here and there. Just then two couples ran in front of the trio chasing after a small red haired boy. • 7. Premature Infant Observation Having the opportunity to watch a child grow over this past semester was a real eye opener. I was able to see this particular infant hit a couple of developmental milestones for her age. My environment was the Infant B classroom having infants ages, 6 months to 12 months. My particular target child was almost one when I started analyzing her. Talking to the caregivers, I found that she was premature and has a twin brother. I was able to watch the infant go from not being able to eat off a spoon, only be able to sit in a bouncer and not being to crawl at all to being able to slowly each from a spoon, put one foot in front another while a caregiver holding her hands and become mobile crawling a way that benefits her. • 8. The Problem Of Teen Drinking Every 51 minutes in America, someone is killed in a drunk driving crash. A dangerous issue facing society today is the problem of teen drinking and driving. Currently an approximate of 10,076 people die in drunk driving crashes per year. If positive progress to ceasing this act does not happen, teens will continue to drink and drive putting everybody on the road at risk. Teens who drink and drive put everyone on the road at risk, causing serious crashes that could be preventable. Background of the Problem A major factor contributing to alcohol–related car accidents is binge drinking. Teenage drinking is not legal, therefore teens usually cannot drink whenever they want. When teens do drink, they often times drink to get drunk on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fake IDs are often very effective because they are not always taken seriously in the bouncer world. There are approximately more fake IDs than real that are used on college campuses. A Her Campus survey found that "54.5% of readers surveyed had or currently have a fake ID" (Collins, 2012, p. 2). The people guarding the doors at clubs and bars aren't always equipped to spot fake IDs. In an interview, FIRST NAME Shubaly, a New York bouncer, quoted "I never received any formal how– to–spot–a–fake–ID training" (Goldberg, 2009, p. 5). The rate that underaged people are getting into clubs factors into how easy it is for teens to get alcohol, which only increases the risk of a teen to get behind the wheel while under the influence, even if they were not planning on drinking that night. Teens who take on the responsibility of being a designated driver are sometimes still pressured into drinking. Teens who get peer pressured into drinking when they know they had a responsibility to drive later often still do. Some teens decide to drink a little bit at parties so it looks like they are trying to get drunk to other teens around them in order to look or feel cool. "While 71% of teens have tried alcohol by the end of high school, far fewer drink to get drunk" (Barker, 2013, p. 6). When a teen gives into peer pressure or takes "just one sip," they do not always know what they are getting themselves into. "Most kids wildly overestimate the prevalence of ... • 14. Why The Drinking Age Should Be Changed The feasibility of why the drinking age should be changed from 21 to 18 can be shown in a variety of reasons, which would show that the drinking age should be changed. If this law was changed it would benefit several people for it would create less stress for certain people and it simply makes sense to change it. Although there will be a few people that may not agree with it, although the reasons that will be shared can help change those people's minds. By changing this law it will help this country out by putting the stress level of cops down, it will help out the economy, people at that age are considered to be adults, less binge drinking incidents, less drunk driving fatalities, eliminate people underage to feel the excitement of drinking illegally, less fake IDs and it will also help there to be less underage drinking that will happen. Overall this will just create stuff like this that will help improve this country. The reason for this is there will be a great amount of less people that are underage drinking for people needing to worry about. When it comes to the drinking age it has been talked about for numerous years in which it should be changed or kept where it is at. With the drinking age is people can argue this issue for both sides of it, which this makes it tough to bring forth any changes for the drinking age. This issue can cause a great deal of problems for the United States as there are people fighting for the government to change the drinking age ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It has a wide range of vulnerabilities, one of the main reason is any developer can upload an application in the android store without any restrictions as apple does. The main theme was to find vulnerability in android operating system and to research in depth to find the reason that made the system vulnerable. Android is a complete operating environment based upon the Linux V2.6 Kernel. Initially the deployment target for android was the mobile–phone arena, including smart phones and lower–cost flip–phone devices. Later this attack got exploited for performing remote execution to take control over user device. The research was extended to Google Bouncer also called as defender, a strategy adopted by Google Inc. in order to defend against malicious app uploaded in the play store. The most important and key point in this part of research was Google policy of "Security by Obscurity" in order to defend against malicious app upload (i.e.) everything was functioning properly until the defence mechanism got revealed by the Finger printing attack by two security researchers in order to understand the security of the bouncer. (citing elements of Nevin v. Carlasco, 139 Mont. 512, 514, 365 P.2d 637, 638 (1961)) Facts: At 1 am on October 7th, 2007 Dennis Harrington went to enter the Crystal Bar. While in line, he talked about the qualifications it would take to be a bouncer. Duane Aune was carding people at the door during this conversation, Jason Howard, a friend of Aune's, took offense to what Harrington said. Howard went out with Harrington because "he challenged me to a fight". Because Saunders was aware there was a potential problem, he made sure Harrington left the premises. Saunders shut the front door behind them, but it had been open all evening. Howard then punched Harrington in the head, and Harrington fell into a car, smacking his head against it in the fall. • 17. Live theatre review of Bouncers Essay Bouncers; 17th of October at High Wycombe Swan Theatre. Bouncers is a comical, yet serious dive into urban nightlife. The actors use multi–role to play a variety of different characters with hilarious results. Throughout the updated version of the play, John Godber (original writer and director) highlighted his intentions through Lucky Eric's daunting monologues; we still drink too much as a society today. Nonetheless, the dated stereotypes and the use of Frank Sinatra and 'Thriller' did make the play feel slightly dated. The play list seemed to be the most updated part of Bouncers; the current music, including artists like LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, Stooshe and Rihanna, was very popular with the predominately young audience. The pace of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The steps used coming down the platform and going up was a great way for the actors to show their characterisation; for example, Sexy Susie (Bhatti) had great trouble coming down the steps in her killer heels whilst Ralph (Bhatti) took each step casually but eloquently. Ilkley, Reddington, Bhatti and Gilet executed the Brechtian style of acting almost perfectly. They immediately alienated the audience from feeling any kind of emotional connection to the characters; we were introduced at the very beginning and were constantly reminded of who was who through heightened gestures, vocal changes and direct address. However, Lucky Eric's daunting monologues, delivered perfectly by Ian Reddington, gave us some sort of emotional connection with the play itself. Godber uses Brecht's style for more of a comic effect as opposed to snatching away emotional connection. The four actors changed from role–to–role excellently with clear characterisation; Bhatti did outstandingly well in changing from the high–pitched and very girly, Sexy Susie to the low– pitched, macho–aggressive bouncer, Ralph. The use of ASYLUM, older actors and Yorkshire accents suggests that John Godber had a very heavy input. The original Bouncers, first performed in 1977, was set in Godber's hometown; Hull. Also, ASYLUM is an actual nightclub in Hull. However, Les' (Gilet) cockney accent suggests that Godber realised that there is now a mix of accents and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 18. Analysis Of The Movie ' Dope ' I recently watched the Netflix movie, Dope, a coming–of–age movie that doubles as a parody and a dedication to the 1990s–vintage ghetto generation. Malcolm and his friends Jib and Diggy are nerdy high school seniors who bond over anything '90s related, play music together in their punk band, and have grown up together in "The Bottoms," in Inglewood, California. Malcolm was trying to escape a gang one day when he had an encounter with a neighborhood drug dealer named Dom. Dom ended up invited him to his birthday party, and with hesitation, Malcolm and his friends decide to go. After an eventful night, Malcolm and his friends later discover that Dom had stashed a handgun and a large amount of drugs in his backpack to hide it from the police who raided the party. The rest of the movie plays out into a war over the drugs that Malcolm accidentally possessed. Malcolm ends up selling the drugs and promises Dom's prominent supplier, who was also coincidentally Malcolm's college interviewer, the profits made from the drugs. Malcolm makes this deal with him only as long as he helps Malcolm achieve his goal of getting into Harvard. Malcolm ends up setting up the supplier with the police while still getting into Harvard and finally being able to get out of the hood. In terms of black masculinity, Malcolm counteracts the hyper–aggressive stereotypes that some have in their head about young African–American men. Benedick Bouncer Although upon initial investigation, Benedick does not appear to be a "bouncer", because of his loyalty to the members of his group, his brash nature towards people not in his group, and his inability to understand the true motivations and manipulations of others, it is apparent that he fits a large majority of the criteria. In Act 2 Scene 1, his brash nature is incredibly evident. Particularly, when Beatrice and Claudio approach him and the prince and he begs the prince to "command [him] any service to the world's end," then saying that he will "go on the slightest errand to the Antipodes that [the prince] could devise to send [him] on" (2.1.259–62). The word "Antipodes" can be used to imply the areas of Australia and New Zealand, which the statement would later seem to imply when he starts naming other places he would be willing to go (i.e. Asia, the Pygmies, etc.), but the word can also mean the exact opposite of something. • 20. Nightclub Observation Essay Over the weekend I took a trip to san Francisco to observe the nightlife in nightclubs, particularly the social relations between security guards and the general public coming inside the venue. Most people picture bouncers as these big individuals who always seem strict. Some people view security guards as police figures so the general public tend to follow what he or she has to say. Over the course of two nights going to a nightclub as an observer, women bouncers are hard to come across and when there is one, she is usually inside handling females who misbehave. Security guards in nightclubs always intrigue me as why they're always in a bad mood and unresponsive. When I observed the social relations between security guards and intoxicated people throughout the night, who come into their venue, my question received its solution. Inside a nightclub has very loud music, and warm temperatures which made most people very sweaty inside. Intoxicated individuals who like to party in nightclubs tend to get a little rowdy and most of them do not listen to reasoning by their people and the employers. Conversations are really hard to have inside a nightclub so I tend to see a lot of people step outside or go to a corner to conversate. There was a time when a security guard walked someone outside and tried to explain his reasoning behind it, but the drunken man couldn't understand what the bouncer was informing him. This made the bouncer very moody and impatient. The social relations ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Keeping The New Law : Michael 's Law As I was making my way downtown, walking fast, faces passed and I was home bound, I realized the opportunity I was missing last Friday night, to observe the nightlife of our beautiful city of Athens. Now, the nightlife of any town is full of people bustling about to and fro. Bar hopping, partying, or just walking down the streets and enjoying the atmosphere. Athens is no different than any other town, but upon further observation I found something that was quite concerning. This may seem like a juvenile or a predictable place to start, if you know anything about Athens itself, but it is home to a quite questionable moral. Many observations made while sitting and waiting downtown, consisted of stumbling, screaming, smiles, tears, and lots of laughter from these seemingly unrelated clusters of people. Most of these people appear to be under the age of twenty one, which is a big deal considering the new law "Michael's Law" requiring bars to be 21 and over in Georgia. The bouncer at our party was a work–for–hire employee, making him work on behalf of Entertainment 720 Inc. His brute and excessive force used on one of the uninvited guests violated the agreement we had made with him, which had caused the crashers to sue our company. Under Respondeat Superior, an employer is liable for the torts committed by an employee acting within the scopes of their employer. Isaac Julien's film Young Soul Rebels tells the story of the friendship between Chris and Caz–two young, black man growing up in England in the 1970's who run an illegal soul radio station together. Their friendship is put through a series of trials when Caz's friend, TJ (who, like Caz is gay) is murdered, and Chris is wrongfully named a suspect. Early race science marked black male bodies as being sexually dangerous and voracious, which has caused modern culture to view black men as being both violent and hypersexual. In addition, the obsession that race scientists had with black male genitalia led to the hypermasculinization of black men that we still continue to see in mainstream culture and media today by only reducing black men to their sexual parts that define them as being male. The Night I Was Nobody Analysis The first major step to stopping racial inequality happened on December 6th, 1865 which is the day the 13th amendment was ratified which abolished slavery in the United States. Capone's Big Jim: Colosimo As A Bouncer At about 20 years of age, Capone left New York for Chicago at the invitation of Johnny Torrio, who was imported by crime boss James "Big Jim" Colosimo as an enforcer. Capone began in Chicago as a bouncer in a brothel, where he contracted syphilis.
