My freshman year of high school was the year of the 2008 presidential election, it was during this election cycle of Obama and McCain that I fell in
love with politics. While I was in high school, I decided that I wanted to major in political science and become a public servant. Thus, my dream job

In the beginning, I thought that a ton of people worked on a campaign and that it was very difficult to work there, because there was a lot of previous
knowledge and experiences needed. However, I learned after interning there that the staff is very small, and that the two biggest focus in a campaign
are fundraising in the beginning and then field work at the end. Field work is basically canvassing, phone banking, placing out yard signs, and
attending events. The reason why these task is so important is because it is the easiest and cheapest way to get the name of the candidate out to voters.
Without field work the large majority of consitiuents wouldn't know who the candidate is and what office they are running for, in addition when
meeting with voters I could talk to them about why I wanted to vote for Al Lawson, what his platforms where, and answering any questions that they
had. Hopefully, after they finished speaking with me on election day they would be more likely to vote for him. Through my experiences in services,
leadership, and my internship, I have learned how important it is to be involved as a leader in the betterment of my community, while actively
pursuing an activity that I was passionate about, because only through passion could I find enjoyment in what I was doing. I absolutely loved my

Cruz is pro–energy when it comes to oil. He wants to approve any pipelines in order to use and exploit any unused American energy reserves. But,
when it comes to renewable energy he opposes any subsidies for the reason that he believes they don't need help competing (PBS).

My First Experience At Bridgetown Church
My first experience at Bridgetown church was very long overdue and very interesting. Most all of my friends and family all have been inviting me
to Bridgetown specifically because they all really enjoy a specific pastor there that speaks on Sunday services. I never saw the need to go, mainly

in voting rates. Immigration has affected the non–citizen population of many groups. Only two percent of Non–Hispanic whites are not citizens and six

Federal laws like the Adam Walsh Act and the Wetterling Act, which mandated long registration periods and the online posting of information

Seasons
That time of year is here. The weather has begun to change from the blistering July heat, to the cool evenings of September. There is no longer the
need to flip channel after channel on the television to find something to watch since it is finally football season. The vivid green leaves are
beginning to fade out and become different shades of brown, orange, and red. Leaves begin to fall from the upmost branches of the tree and float

The client that my group chose to work with was the College Republicans of Liberty University. Since this semester was during presidential election
cycle, the client was happy to have our assistance with helping promote the club. During this semester, many challenges occurred that both the club and
our group faced; however, we were able to accomplish the goals that the client wanted to accomplish from our project.

At the beginning of the semester, our group spoke with the client to develop several goals that they wanted our group to achieve throughout this
semester. After speaking to the Vice Chairman John Wood (2016), one of the main tasks that he wanted our group to assist the club with
accomplishing was to use the election to boost engagement within the club for both club meeting attendance and also visibility on social media.

Imagine a time where teenagers are allowed to vote on important positions or issues that could possibly define our nation's future. The average
teenager may seem responsible, but would they be able to handle the responsibility of deciding our nation's fate in the world as well as their own. In
the article, " Takoma Park 16–year–old savors his history making moment at the polls," Annys Shin, who writes in depth about the historical event as
well as shares valued opinions of those who participated in the making of this event, exclaims that the, " Montgomery County community [was] the
nation's first to lower the voting age from 18 to 16." This seems to be a test to determine if the nation should lower the voting age completely. However,
this test shows varying results, but majority seem to shed some light on the fact that teenagers simply should not take part in voting. The average
teenagers seem too young to be mature about issues, are uninterested in what major decisions are made by the government, and are simply being used
by their parentals for an extra person support their own beliefs. Although, being a teenager myself I do have a clear understanding about the momentous
moment certian teeangers in the Montgomery County are being offered, but was it worth the controversy within the government to finally make it
happen. A Fred Schultz, elaborated on the issue that the outcome would not be as rewarding for the amount of time that was spent to grant this right to
the counties teenagers in order to raise the amount of political participation(Shin). Once the results came trickling in, there seemed to still be an
exceedingly low rate for voter turnouts. Montgomery teenagers were simply granted the right, and proved to the county there was no point in doing so
since there was little participation from their age group. Not to mention that majority of the sampled teenagers would not take the initiative to register
to vote, and even though the county had registration at the Motor Vehicle Registration there is a point that not every teeanger is able to drive legally.
