This document outlines plans for a 2012 parallel programming student contest hosted by Intel across Europe, Russia, and the US. The contest will run from April 15th to May 15th and focus on engaging students and teachers through whole-class participation. Contest objectives include growing Intel's software community, identifying new influencers, and preparing students for many-core and mobile programming. To engage teachers, special packages will provide course materials, hardware incentives, and reporting on student progress. Communication will target universities, schools, websites, and social media. The budget is $35k with $20k confirmed. Key goals for 2012 include 800 registered participants, 200 new "belts" in Intel's program, 100 new teachers, and generating student content
