1. 1. JOB DESCRIPTION (list key tasks, resources, budget, people, equipment, relationships
with other departments / clients...)
After an internal training period, the engineer will participate in Fuel-POS projects.
Development / maintenance in C++ multi threaded applications.
Participate in database design and writing SQL queries.
Starts with small modifications in running projects with supervision of his colleague.
Start of sub parts of the projects.
Evolves to do entire projects: functional, detail, coding, integration, handover to test
team, level 3 team
Dependent of the personal interests: participating in C# applications and WEB
development
2. REPORTING (specify the function/person the position reports to, both operational and
functional lines)
Operational: reports to the Fuel-POS supervisor (Nico Borghmans)
Functional: reports to the manager of Sebu systems engineering – Jan Peeraer
3. EDUCATION ( kind and level of education requested for the position)
Higher education (Bachelor/Master) in Computer Science/ICT
4. EXPERIENCE (experience required)
Good knowledge of programming languages C/C++, Object oriented programming, multi-
threaded applications, boost library, STL programming, database engines (SQlite and/or MS
SQL Server) - knowledge of SQL queries, Microsoft Operation systems.
General knowledge of MS office (word, excel, outlook, etc …).
Nice to have:
C# knowledge, Microsoft Visual Studio, Windows SDK (win32 api), TCP/IP communication,
Winsocket
Basic knowledge about card payment systems is a plus / not a must.
Remark: Tokheim has a good experience to train C# programmers to program in C++.
5. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES (required, include languages)
Fluent in Dutch and English. Other languages are welcome.
Stress resistance.
Team player. Eager to learn and grow within a professional international team.
Good communications skills.
