SOFTWARE ENGINEER
ENGINEERING ELECTRONICS

Software Engineering, University or BSC level
2. Experience
5-10 years of software experience
3. Competencies
 C/C++ programming experience
 Experience in real time, multi-tasking embedded software development
Linux experience is a pre. CAN experience is a pre.
 Experience with embedded controllers
 Basic knowledge/interest in hardware development
 Analytical skills for problem analysis
 Knowledge on software quality assurance
 Knowledge on software process improvement and test methodologies
 High level of “personal quality”
 Project management skills
 Languages: English
4. Context
 Calculator software is evaluated from small embedded controllers to full blown
application development on Linux OS and including VGA options. For that the
software functionality is also increased in complexity and the need for optimising
the process (review, test, measurements, bug analysis) has increased.
 Travelling -> flexibility for mobility for short stays abroad (max one week)
5. Job
 Senior software engineer, working in the calculator software team. This is part of
a multinational team of approx. 15 people with a local supervisor.
This team is working in an international environment, based in The Netherlands
(Bladel) and cooperating with Chinese and Indian engineers. This team is
responsible for hardware and embedded software development for dispenser
calculators and payment terminals.

 Build-up domain know-how
 Project management for internal software process/quality improvements.
 Based on Marketing requirements, make clear functional specifications
 Design, implementation and testing of software modules in the area of dispenser
calculators
 Analysis of field problems
 Integration of the software modules in the final platform and product
 Participate in testing and release procedures

Context  Calculator software is evaluated from small embedded controllers to full blown application development on Linux OS and including VGA options. For that the software functionality is also increased in complexity and the need for optimising the process (review, test, measurements, bug analysis) has increased.  Travelling -> flexibility for mobility for short stays abroad (max one week) 5. Job  Senior software engineer, working in the calculator software team. This is part of a multinational team of approx. 15 people with a local supervisor. This team is working in an international environment, based in The Netherlands (Bladel) and cooperating with Chinese and Indian engineers. This team is responsible for hardware and embedded software development for dispenser calculators and payment terminals. 6.
