One of our primary business objectives is to develop or improve our leadership position in each of
our core markets by increasing our overall position as a preferred supplier and
improving our competitiveness on a global scale.
We believe that our success in achieving industry-leading net revenue growth throughout our
history is the result of the following key strengths:
1 Broad and deep technological knowledge
2 Strong intellectual property portfolio that underlies many key products;
3 High product quality standards, backed with stringent systems designed to ensure consistent
performance, that meet or surpass customersā expectations;
4 Strong technical collaboration with customers;
5 Extensive experience with advanced development, engineering, and new product development
processes;
6 Broad geographical presence in developed and developing markets;
6 Broad geographical presence in developed and developing markets;
For over 30 years MPN has provided high performing, standards compliant, end-to-end copper and fiber data transport systems.
Fundamental to our vision are the principles of innovation and quality. With todayās focus on Advanced Physical Layer Management (APLM) we deliver value through an enhanced physical layer capability.
Consulatitive approach ā again, we take great pride in our longevity and expertise in the industry and filter that through to the customer. We work side by side with the customer to ensure that only the right solution is offered and not just selling for selling sake. We care about making the right choices.

Alien Crosstalk is the unwanted coupling of signals in adjacent cables. Typically in the past consideration has to be made for crosstalk within a given 4 pair cable.
This is a very different phenomenon. The 10 Gigabit protocol uses Digital Signal Processing (DSP) ā and this signal processing mechanism cannot cancel noise from adjacent cables.
So letās look at the different approaches to solving the Alien Crosstalk problem with shielded and unshielded cabling systems.
AXT is the undesired coupling between adjacent cables
AXT is the most critical parameter for 10G
AXT can not be cancelled by Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
AXT can only be prevented by a foil shield or space
Alien Crosstalk has been a major factor for cable manufacturers when they consider the design of Augmented Category 6 cable. The design process has been lengthy and the resultant cables are significantly larger in diameter than their predecessors. (typically twice that of Category 5e cables) Interestingly even shielded (Category 6 )cables are smaller in diameter than the Category 6A UTP cables.
Shielded cable design
Keeping in mind that Alien Crosstalk is 10GBase-Tās biggest problem, the shield in the cable is extremely effective in minimising the Alien crosstalk.
