The Importance Of Environment Status On The Environment
Environment Status: To Be Determined Some humans spend their time obsessing over super–heroes
while others are obsessing over saving the planet but is there a possible super– power capable of
doing so? As emphasized in "Man and Nature" written in 2002 by George Perkins Marsh, a key
figure to the commencement of environmentalism ("George Perkins Marsh", 2015), mankind has
done its fair share of destroying nature's functionality with expectations of a futile environment in
return. Although there are constant changes occurring to the environment and the policies having to
do with the environment, this article addresses issues that have continued to depress throughout the
years. Some of the main aspects and issues addressed in Marsh's article include the comparison of
human vs. animal impact on the environment, changes that have begun to take place although they
need a further power to fully improve, protection that needs to be put into place on pastures and land
that have yet to be used, the search of a solution to balance the rainfall in each different kind of
climate and biome and the need to be able to differentiate changes occurring because of human
actions or because of geological actions.
Marsh begins by explaining the different outcomes created by both humans and animals. He writes
that animals act upon their roles in the food chain and buy their natural will to survive, while man
often acts upon selfish needs. He writes that "Human differs from brute action, too, in

Poverty and Environment: An Essay on the Poverty–Environment Linkages
Josiah Mwangi Ateka

November 2012
1.0 Background
Poverty reduction and environmental conservation represent two of the main global challenges. The
two targets constitute part of the eight Global Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Arising
from the thinking that Environmental degradation and poverty reinforce each other since the poor
are both agents and victims of environmental destruction; the poverty–environment hypothesis has
become a major concern of international development agencies and policy makers. It is often argued
that the poor are often the biggest victims of environmental destruction since they depend ... Show

It is argued that this 'investment poverty' criterion is a stronger criterion than the conventional focus
on 'welfare poverty', as households above a welfare–determined poverty line could still be
investment poor.
2.0 Poverty and Environment Linkages
This section attempts to give a general overview of some of the basic issues in the poverty–
environmental degradation debate. The objective is to provide general highlights on the key
perspectives of the poverty and environment relationships. This will provide a foundation for the
discussions on the theoretical and conceptual framework presented later on in section 3.
The poverty–environmental linkage has several dimensions. From an economic growth perspective;
rapid economic growth is often seen as the key foundation for achieving poverty reduction. There is
a lot empirical evidence in support of this assertion. Therefore while the linkage between economic
growth and poverty reduction is generally obvious, the relationship between economic growth and
degradation of the environment or and improvement in the environment remains ambiguous or
unclear. One part of the poverty–environment hypothesis suggests that economic growth is needed
to break the poverty–environment downward

Organizational Environment
b. Organizational Environment
Organizational Environment: those forces outside its boundaries that can impact it. Forces can
change over time and are made up of Opportunities and Threats. (7) The Organizational
environment refers to the forces that can make an impact. Forces made up opportunities and threats.
Organizations do not exist in isolation. It works with the overall environment. Scholars have divided
these environmental factors into two main parts as. Internal Environment External Environment (8)
c. Internal Environment The internal environment consists of the inherent competencies of the firm
and the structure of its internal systems and processes. It is imperative for the organization to

Managers must stay abreast of and deal constantly with external developments. (14) Factors that
happen in the external environment are known as external factors or influences. These will affect the
main internal functions of the business and possibly the objectives of the business and its strategies.
The main factor that affects most business is the degree of competition – how fiercely other
businesses compete with the products that another business makes. The other factors that can affect
the business are: Social – how communities behave and their beliefs. Legal – the way in which
legislation in society affects the business. Economic – how the economy affects a business Political
– how changes in government policy might affect the business Technological – how the rapid pace
of change in production processes and product innovation affect a business. Ethical – what is
regarded as morally right or wrong for a business (15) An organization is an open system; therefore
it interacts with its environment. To manage the relationship with the environment, a large part of
strategic planning is concerned. The environmental factors can be divided to 2 main categories,
which is MACRO and MICRO .Macro environmental factors seriously affect an organization

The Ecological Environment: The Ecological Environment
Ecological environment
The ecological environment is based on the relationship that the organisation has with ecology.
Ecology represents other human beings, and the air, water and soil in the natural environment that
support their well–being (Louw and Venter, 2013). Global warming is an issue facing organisations
and the rest of the world and it is important for organisations to evaluate their contribution towards
the problem. The potential impact regarding damage to the environment can cause severe customer
and stakeholder backlash resulting in a reduction in the valuation of the firm. Our eco–friendly

Our business idea however, will pose an opportunity given the fact that more and more people are
becoming conscious of sustainable living. It is important to acknowledge that many cultures exist
within South Africa as well as immigrants currently residing in South Africa.
Culture has a direct influence on the marketing strategies used by companies to promote their
products. Examples of products that failed in markets around the globe include Johnson's floor wax
in Japan, which made wooden floors slippery. The company failed to take into account that it is
customary not to wear shoes at home in Japan. Coca–Cola in China, pronounced "Kooke Koule" by
the Chinese, translates to "A thirsty mouthful of candle wax" (Doole, 2005). Customs, language

Environmentalism And Environment
In the wake of nuclear threats, and ever–industrializing world, environmentalism was conceived.
People began to finally consider how the actions and needs of humanity were negatively impacting
the physical world around us, and began to become a voice in opposition to environmental
degradation on many different levels. While environmentalism in the past has often been pure in
intent, many of the goals involve governmental change, and forgo focus on the individual. While
regulations and laws in favor of the environment are obviously positive, they are worthless if they
are not implemented on an individual level. Individual and local efforts, in terms of
environmentalism, are often the most impactful and effective, eventually leading to change on a
larger scale. With this idea in mind, environmentalism cannot just be something that occurs in wake
of a threat or focuses on large–scale rules and regulations; it must work on shifting the perspective
of individuals on a personal level. During the 19th and 20th century, both rapid industrialism and
nuclear threats caused a new perspective on the role of the environment to humanity. Nuclear
weapons allowed many to realize that the fate of humanity and the environment were linked up with
one another. If the environment is destroyed, humanity will ultimately perish too. Industrial
practices, specifically the ways in which wasted resources, chemical emissions, landscape
degradation, increased population, and garbage impacted human

Social Environment Accounting
Accounting Forum 28 (2004) 1–5 Introduction Social and environmental accounting: trends and
thoughts for the future Over the years Accounting Forum has explored different possible directions
for the field of social and environmental accounting. With a new publisher–Elsevier–it is our hope
that we shall reach new markets and opportunities. In recent issues, these explorations have been
extended to theorising the role of accounting in transnational global processes, and to the channels
of global information and the interpretation of that information. In particular, contributions have
attempted to explore the notion that accounting discourse is a medium through which relationships
between business and society can be created, nurtured ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A cross–sectional analysis indicates that the share price response is mainly a function of the relative
fine imposed on the firm; other explanatory variables such as environmental performance news or
sector membership were unsuccessful in explaining variations in the market responses they
observed. Equally, Accounting Forum has been interested in the interdependencies between social
and environmental accounting which extend to the nexus between accounting and information to
employees and other relevant parties. In this issue of Accounting Forum, R. G. Day presents
evidence concerning the evolution of reporting about employees in the last century and its
relationship with mandatory disclosure rules (Day, 2004). This is an interesting phenomenon, given
that the current conceptual framework for corporate environmental reporting has only recently
begun to analyse the relationship between voluntary and regulated disclosure. For example,
accounting research is only just beginning to examine the relationships between the role that
International Standards such as ISO 14001 have had on the reporting function. In Day's article,
however, he focuses on evidence from the UK and finds that there is an apparent disregard for
statutory disclosures. Implicit in much of the Corporate Environmental and Social Reporting
(CE&SR) literature is the supposition

Frankenstein and the Environment
The environment has a lot to say in Marry Shelly's Frankenstein. It seems to reflect somewhat what
is going on emotionally with Victor in the story. Victor finds solace in solitude with nature, and
appears to use it as a coping mechanism to escape from the horrors of his life. Nature also ties into
how the monster Victor has created feels, but in a much different way than it does for him. Victor
becomes ill sometime during the story after he leaves home and goes off to study at college. It is
assumed by his father that he will feel better after being with his family and Elizabeth, the woman
who he will later marry. But really all Victor wants is to take a breath of fresh air alone, showing
how he truly feels about solitude and the environment. It makes the reader wonder what he really
cares about, and if he even misses his family. "We passed a fortnight in these perambulations: my
health and spirits had long been restored, and they gained additional strength from the salubrious air
I breathed, the natural incidents of our progress . . ." Throughout everything that happens to Victor
in the book. Including the death of his mother, brother, Elizabeth, and his father. All that seems to
calm him is his return to nature. I discovered more distinctly the black sides of Jura, and the bright
summit of Mount Blanc; I wept like a child: "Dear mountains! my own beautiful ale! how do you
welcome your wanderer? Your summits are clear; the sky and lake are blue and placid. Is this to

Environment Observation
Permission to observe Danielle in a familiar environmental setting was obtained by her mother
Jodie. The environment assessment was done at the assessor's house due to the observer caring the
child once to twice a month. The observation of Danielle, who turned two on Monday, March 14,
2016 (the day of observation), took place from 9 a.m until 11 a.m. The observer had minimal
obstruction with the child's activities but was needed for some assistance. The two hours that
Danielle was observed she was independent as much as possible and did not speak with the observer
unless there was a need to. Danielle typically goes to her mother Jodie's parents on Monday's for

The observer typically cares for the child in this room because it is a safe area in which the child is
to be easily cared for and can have toys of their own as well. The environment is socially
appropriate for the child because the child is able to interact with animals such as a dog and with
people such as the observer in an easy manner. For example, the child is able to be cared for in this
room because it is not too large nor too small for the child. The furniture of the room which includes
two chairs and a couch are a bit large for the child but they are easily accessible for the child to get
onto them without help. The child is also able to be independent in this room by walking around or
choosing a toy to play with when she wants. The room is physically appropriate in that it is carpeted
which is safe for a young child in case of a fall but as stated before the furniture may be a bit too
large for a child this age. The environment is also physically appropriate for the child because the

The Impact Of The Environment On The Environment
Humanity is slowly discovering new diseases, infections, and deadly illnesses. Researchers blame
genetics and how it is passed down from generation to generation through shared chromosomes. If
they don't blame genetics they blame the adaptation of species or the animals consumed by the
population. However, these animals carry what they consume: plants, insects, water, oxygen, and
any other animal the predators consume. People eat the meat, the vegetables, and breathe the oxygen
that the trees let out during photosynthesis, the food chain is being disrupted because of the impact
that the humans have on the ecosystem and vice versa. The realistic view of what is happening is
that citizens are innovating having the tendency to litter, industries are being created causing
pollution and oil spills, malls are being made while parks and forests are being cut down for
parking. With this said, the ecosystem is, in reality, the reason for the diseases affecting human
health. As the environment changes in the community, the human species struggle to adapt and
accommodate themselves because of pollution in the air, land, and water causing problems such as
Cancer, Asthma, and other diseases. Although the environment impacts human health, the human
community is also having a drastic impact on the environment because of gentrification, innovation,
and accommodation.
The impact that the environment has on human health is just as drastic as humanity having an
impact on the environment. In

Environment And Human Environment
Ecosystems is the dynamic complex of plant, animal and micro–organism communities and their
non–living environment that work together to form a functional unit and they are constantly
changing due to the fluctuating equilibrium from natural stress and human action which has had
adversarial impacts on ecosystems. This is evident in Minnamurra rainforest as human induced
modifications and environmental stresses had resulted in a vulnerable ecosystem. Furthermore, the
removal of factors that contribute to the vulnerability of an ecosystem is important as it affect the
functioning of the ecosystem as processes are accelerated, biodiversity is decreased which greatly
affects humans. Despite the negative effects caused by humans, they have discovered that
ecosystems are susceptible from harm caused by natural environmental factors or human impacts
and realised the importance of protecting and managing ecosystems therefore have implemented
management strategies that are supposed to prevent further detriment and as a consequence may
induce resiliency.
Within Minnamurra rainforest all biophysical components rely on each other, for example changes
to the lithosphere (gaseous elements surrounding the earth), can cause stress to the flora and fauna
within the ecosystem and impact other abiotic factors. Human interaction has also caused many
detrimental impacts on the ecosystem through changes in lithospheric processes. For instance
littering can bring unwanted diseases that can affect

Trump's Impact On The Environment
Economic growth and social development are complementary and have a close but complex
relationship. With the economic growth, it is clear there have been lasting damaging effects on the
environment today. For example, water, air, and land pollution have worsened, and the environment
of wild animals and plants have been severely damaged. Many species today are threatened with
extinction, deforestation and over–exploitation of mineral resources. With the recent nomination for
head administrator for the Environmental Protect Agency (EPA) and approval of Oklahoma
Attorney General, Scott Pruitt, has led to some questionable doubts about Trumps advocacy for the

opportunities presented to them and overcoming the threats that may come in its way. A good
example of environment influence would be the opportunity presented to smartphone application

and Samsung Galaxy and at the same time a threat to newspaper companies, as the usage of online
sources of information increases.

Capitalismism And Environment
In order to answer questions about: if green consumption being able to solve environmental
problems, if purchasing eco–friendly products as well as green technology is the answer to global
environmental degradation, and if capitalism is able to save the environment or not, background
information certainly needs to be presented before my personal opinion is contributed.
To introduce capitalism, society, and the environment, I would like to begin with the statement that
humans affect nature, or the natural environment. Pollution and depletion are two ways this
happens. On one side with pollution, the environment becomes contaminated by toxic items. On the
other side with depletion, the environment's natural resources are being exhausted. Even though
both are negative and both are bad for the environment, not one of them is necessarily better to
have. To discuss capitalism, seeking profit and private property is what capitalism strives for. This is
essentially their main desire. In slightly simpler words, it seeks to collect capital, or money.
Capitalism affects the environment in a negative way, but it also causes stratification. The way it
does this is by exploiting workers.
Thinkers who are Ecological Marxists are contemporary thinkers who added onto Karl Marx's
theory original proposed thought processes about capitalism. Ecological Marxist Theory brings to
light the issues between capitalism's means of production and the environment. It explains how
capitalism is

1. Safe Environment:
For the first part of my observation I noticed that the environment was not in the best shape that it
could be, so I asked the program supervisor "John" why the environment looked like it was under
repair and he explained that the whole school was under construction. Through my observation I did
notice that for the most part the environment was safe, but it did have major hazards that concerned
me. The environment had safe ratios, for example, in the specific class that I observed there was
seven infants and two adults the caretakes informed me that it is regularly eight infants in the
classroom four infants per adult, but a child was out sick with the flu. In addition, I noticed that in
the front part of the classroom where the door entry and fire extinguisher are located there was a fire
and emergency plan that includes emergency information and a plan to get the infants to safety. The
classroom also had emergency numbers posted by the phone area and I was told that all emergency
cards were stored in a file card holder that is easy to access. Furthermore, throughout my
observation I noticed that children could take risk opportunities like running around, climbing, and
playing in tent areas without injury and with constant supervision. The classroom I observed was
accepting of constant interactions, but they always made it clear to the children that it was not
appropriate to hurt one another. However, although the program had many good qualities that

Effects of external environment on company's strategy
Introduction:
The development of any organization require new ways of orientation of a business, requires
organization to adapt to environmental changes inside and outside the action. The purpose of
external assessment is to prosper a limited list of an opportunities and threats that should be
avoided. External assessment is not aimed at developing an extensive list of every possible factor
that could affect the business. External environment of an organizations are factors that affect the
company's ability to function. The importance of external environment and their effect on the
expansion of marketing planning is crucial and should be reviewed by an organization wising to be

‘Business’ and Its ‘Environment’
'Business' and Its 'Environment'
Introduction
 Every business organization has to interact and transact with its „environment‟.  The
effectiveness of interaction of an enterprise with its environment primarily determines the success or
failure of a business.
 The environment imposes several „constraints‟ on an enterprise and has a considerable impact
and influence on the scope and direction of its activities. The enterprise, on the other hand, has very
little control over its environment.  The business environment presents two challenges to the
enterprise, viz., the challenge to combat the environmental threats (such as intensification of
competition, declining market etc.) and to exploit the business opportunities.  The basic job ...

 The diversity also means that, although there are common elements in the business environment,
each business operates in an environment that is, to some extent, unique.
Thinking about the business environment – Eight key themes
 Internal/external – the environment is both inside and outside organisations. Internal:
„controllable‟ | External: „uncontrollable‟
 Business organisations is not really a single, unified entity but is internally differentiated. 
Managers within business, to be effective, have to deal with both the internal and external
environment.  The ability of an organization to operate successfully within its external
environment depends, in large part, on the effectiveness of internal systems and procedures.  The
internal environment has to be managed and adapted to the demands and opportunities of the
external environment.

decision become a no–brainer? But what if this new found energy dependence comes with hidden
costs other than carbon emissions? Would you still want this opportunity in your area? This is what
experts and passionate amateurs alike have been debating about fracking, also known as hydraulic

Although exact content may be a mystery, we know that all proponents are not explosive or as

been a saving grace for many. In 2012 alone the fracking industry supported 2.1 million jobs.
(Economy) There is also a lot of potential for growth, according to Purdue University economist,
Wallace Tyner. In the article "The Liberal War On American Energy Independence", author Arthur
Herman conveys that Tyner suggested that between 2008 and 2035 that fracking will add around
$473 billion dollars each year to U.S. economy. (Herman) Fracking has already had an impact on
foreign oil dependency, and it is definitely for the better. The New York Times reported "In 2011,
the country imported just 45% of the liquid fuels it used, down from a record high of 60 percent in
2005."(Krauss) This is a crowning achievement for many of the big supporters of fracking.
Production could eventually reach to 10 million barrels a day, making us a real competitor of Saudi
Arabia. (Krauss)

The Environment : The Major Factors To The Environment And...
INTRODUCTION
The environment is essential to the organisms living within it, that is beneficial by providing food
and shelter. Its quality began to be degrade as soon as the industrial revolution began around 1700s.
This threatened the existence of many plant and animal species but humans were viewing this as an
opportunity to end poverty and other related problems. This was also another way to aid with
economic growth. Economic growth is the increased production of goods over a period of time
produced per head of the population. Environmental degradation is a major problem in developing
countries because the damage done to the environment is less. Developing countries are those which
have poor agricultural background and are seeking to become more economically and socially
advanced, they can be characterized by low GDP, lack of industries and enterprises, dependent on
agriculture and more. This degradation contributes to factors like global warming and climate
change. It is evident that economic growth does not benefit the environment but the people only, so
the environment is indeed compromised. With every seconds, a country that is developing destroys a
piece of vegetation in order to build more facilities that will elevate the country.
WHY THE ENVIRONMENT SHOULD BE SUSTAINED
There is only one world habitable for human beings which is the one we are living in at present. It is
our duty to take care of it, but one of the things that gets in the way is economic growth.

Systematic and accurate health assessments conducted by the nurse allows healthcare providers to

because it may allow for an early detection of any underlying and subsequent health risks that may

The Environment And Corporate Environmental Impact On The...
Most of the pollution is the result of human activities. There is no question that human activities
have badly harmed the natural environment and this negative impact has always be a major concern.
People starts to aware of the potential effect of environmental damage on the ecosystems. Therefore
there has been increasing concern over the companies' impacts on the environment (Hart 1995).
Chatterji et al (2009) mentioned that it becomes significant for the companies to take environmental
issues into consideration as there is an increasing interest in how the companies deal with their
environmental impact. Also, the public becomes more scrutiny about this matter over time. The
original concept of corporate social responsibilities focus only on the social responsibilities, such as
employment and consumer rights. As environmental damage has become major concern in the
recent years, the concept of corporate social responsibilities has also covered environmental
responsibilities, such as water pollution and polluted gas emission, which in turn become one of the
important parts of corporate social responsibilities practices (Flammer 2013). Globalisation has
constantly developed the concept of corporate social responsibilities in which the method of
handling the companies' environmental consequences is important for maintaining or improving the
corporate image. Therefore many companies utilise the corporate social responsibilities practices

Protecting the environment is crucial to life on earth. The EPA ( Environmental Protection
Agencies) mission is to protect human health and the environment. EPA was founded on December
2, 1970 to work for a cleaner, healthier environment for the American Citizens.
The Head quarters for EPA are located in Washington D.C.. They have many alternate locations
around the nation. Places like New York and Texas are some of the places where they serve many
states at the same time. They have 10 regions and they all serve five states each. Having these

The Environment Of An Organization
Introduction
Understanding the environment that encompasses an association that is vital to the executives
accountable for the associations. There are a few reasons behind why understanding the
environment is important. First, the environment provides resources that an organization needs in
order to create goods and services. In the seventeenth century, British writer John Donne broadly
noticed "no man is an island." Similarly, it is exact to say that no association is independent. As the
human body must devour oxygen, nourishment, and water, an organization needs to take in
resources, such as, work, cash, and crude materials from outside its limits. An association can 't
make due without the backing of its surroundings. Second, the environment is a place of
opportunities and threats for an organization. Managers must also realize that almost any
environmental movement is possible to create opportunities for some organizations and threats for
others. Officials should likewise understand that for all intents and purposes any ecological pattern
or occasion is liable to make open doors for a few associations and dangers for others. Third, the
environment forms the numerous strategic decisions that manager's make as they try to lead their
organizations to success. Nature regularly puts vital limitations on an association 's objectives, for
instance, a firm that sets an objective of expanding yearly deals by 50 percent may battle to
accomplish this objective amid a financial

The Natural Environment
How does the natural environment influence culture?
There is a myriad of varying definitions for the word 'culture.' Instead of defining culture in general
terms, it is often defined by how it is related to the environment; and consequently, how it is
affected. Culture provides direction, and reason. Throughout history, people have remained stalwart
and true to their roots and traditions. However, it has become evident that, with the changing
environment, many traditional practices have had to adapt. Climate change is a key component
causing this adaptation. Through reflecting upon environmental relativism, and cultural aspects,
such as subsistence patterns, economic systems, and religion and world view, it can be concluded
that the natural environment influences culture by causing environment–based traditions to mould to
external factors.
Environmental relativism can be defined as follows: the ways in which certain aspects of the
physical environment are relevant to cultures and traditions. It is how the environment relates to a
culture (personal communication, Kathy Rettie, September 7, 2017). The environment is an ever–
changing system; it often cannot be predicted. Climate change, such as warmer winters, rising sea
levels, and changes in precipitation, provide evidence that the individuals affected by the physical
environment must change their way of life to adapt. This is particularly true for many nomadic
cultures, who base their survival off the changing weather

The Environment And Its Impact On The Environment
Americans became concerned about the environment in the latter part of the 20th century. Victory
over Nazi–Germany was a result of industrialization; however it was detrimental for the
environment. With industries booming, meant more pollution affecting natural resources. DDT was
helping to save millions of lives from fatal disease, but there was minimal evidence as to how
harmful this insecticide was for both humans and animals. Throughout the 1960's new research was
discovered as to the impacts destroying the environment. Activists as well as politicians began to
incorporate the value of protecting the environment into mainstream events. This gave the perfect
opportunity for new organizations to arise, which over a dozen did. The most influential one being
Greenpeace as it was the first organization to spread awareness about environmental issues, and is
now the largest organization promoting a green and peaceful world.
A decade before Greenpeace was established, leading environmentalist and biologist, Rachel
Carson, published Silent Spring which shed light for the first time on the effects of pesticides. It
challenged the belief that insecticides would not be harmful for people and animals. The impact
industrialization had on the environment and on people's health, such as smog and pollution, was
also brought up in the book. In the latter part of the 1960's, Ralph Nader, a consumer activist, helped
to make the environment a mainstream issue by ensuring that everybody

The Protection Of The Environment
Introduction
Information and public participation play an important role in the protection of the environment. To
that end they have become rights which are protected internationally, continentally and
domestically, ensuring that all citizens and organizations are able to play an active role in the
management of the environmental at all levels. By enabling public participation, governments are
inevitably providing transparency in governance and therefore reinforcing the legislative and
institutional safeguards that have been put in place to protect the environment. It is important that
some level of transparency is available regarding environmental decisions in order to allow the
public be aware of decision–making procedures, as well the ... Show more content on

Under Principle 10, public participation is a creature of three distinct requirements Firstly, there is a
recognition that participation does not occur in a vacuum; rather, it is facilitated by a healthy
understanding of the current state of the environment. The Rio Declaration recognized that "at the
national level, each individual shall have appropriate access to information concerning the
environment that is held by public authorities, including information on hazardous materials and
activities in their communities ."
As such, there is a responsibility on governments to make available information on the environment
and the current risks faced to the citizens. The Rio Declaration states that "states shall facilitate and
encourage public awareness and participation by making information widely available" . This
includes educating local communities as to the environmental risks they specifically face and their
sources. It also means providing an adequate mechanism for governmental bodies to provide this
information.
Secondly when the public is fully aware of the status of their environment, then citizens and interest
groups should be provided with "the opportunity to participate in the decision making–process ".
Individuals and organizations should have a say in the drafting of legislation, regulation and
guidelines.

Macro Environment
Q.1) Explain How Macro Environmental Factor Affect International Business Product With An
Example.
There are many factors in the macro–environment that will affect the decisions of the managers of
any organization. Tax changes, new laws, trade barriers, demographic change and government
policy changes are all examples of macro change. To help analyze these factors managers can
categories them using the PESTEL model. This classification distinguishes between:
Political factors:
These refer to government policy such as the degree of intervention in the economy. What goods
and services does a government want to provide? To what extent does it believe in subsidizing
firms? What are its priorities in terms of business support? Political ... Show more content on

Legal changes can affect a firm 's costs (e.g. if new systems and procedures have to be developed)
and demand (e.g. if the law affects the likelihood of customers buying the good or using the
service).
Different categories of law include: * consumer laws: these are designed to protect customers
against unfair practices such as misleading descriptions of the product * competition laws: these are
aimed at protecting small firms against bullying by larger firms and ensuring customers are not
exploited by firms with monopoly power * Employment laws: these cover areas such as
redundancy, dismissal, working hours and minimum wages. They aim to protect employees against
the abuse of power by managers * Health and safety legislation: these laws are aimed at ensuring
the workplace is as safe as is reasonably practical. They cover issues such as training, reporting
accidents and the appropriate provision of safety equipment
Typical PESTEL factors to consider include: Factor Could include: * Political e.g.: EU enlargement,
the euro, international trade, taxation policy * Economic e.g.: interest rates, exchange rates, national
income, inflation, unemployment, Stock Market * Social e.g.: ageing population, attitudes to work,

Environment And DAPL Lectures
For my event immersion, I chose to attend two different lectures. Specifically, the power of
knowledge: higher education, reintegration and liberation, as well as the environment/DAPL lecture.
Both lectures served as a reminder of what is necessary towards a focus on education in society. I
decided to look at both lectures because of my interest in how the two potentially collide based off
an interesting that I had personally. Socialization is one aspect of the conversation that does not
necessarily come forth, but holds a large degree of relevance.
The significance of these lectures is that they all revolve around a need for people to be more
understanding of one another through education. Education serves as a vehicle that helps people to

The issue here is based on the fact that socialization ultimately works in hand with education and it
applies the identities. That is, Harro (2008) found that "identities are ascribed to us at birth through
no effort or decision or choice of our own" (p. 46). Considering this, it becomes increasingly
difficult to create a "us vs them" scenario. When in reality, it is two groups of people who have
grown up believing two different ideologies, and there is not really any type of dynamic change that
is associated with this conversation. The contrast of these two conversations only add to the ongoing
understanding of how difficult it is to have a difference if any. The more important conversation that
is occurring here is ultimately how can one bridge the gap of knowledge and conversation that is
occurring here.
Society currently stands at odds due in part to the fact that there is a gap in knowledge and
socialization is at the heart of it. In the instances provided by both lecturers, they are tied by the fact
that there is no real manner upon which their issues can be resolved because socialization ultimately
acts as the judge and jury. They are both looking to bridge the gap between the two parties at odds
that have developed. However, as Harro stated, there isn't a realistic solution due in part to the fact
that socialization is so significant in this

The Environment And The Culture Of A Country
The environment and the culture of another country can greatly affect a business that is operating
internationally in many ways. Since every country has its own culture and values that differ from
country to country, it will affect any business that is attempting to expand internationally, as there
won't only be one culture that ought to be considered before expanding internationally, but quite a
few, and also what might be considered as acceptable in one country, it may not be in another.
Every country has environmental factors that affect it, factors that include political, economic,
social, and technological.
The political factors will affect any businesses that will be trying to expand internationally, as they
mainly revolve around the legislations that apply in that country. In the chance that a country
prohibits a business from making more than 35% gas emissions, the business that is operating in
that country will have to abide to that. Other political factors that the business will have to abide is
the way that the country operates with the employment. A business cannot treat the employees of
that country working for them to suit their needs, but they will have to consider how the country
operates politically. Every country will have their consumer rights, environmental issues and
government taxes and subsidies which will all need to be taken into account, and if the businesses
do not abide then they can get heavily fined.
The economic factors that they will have to

Political/Legal Factors
Concerning the political factors, UK Commercial Property Trust's environment is a politically stable
region. It has been stable politically for a long time, which has seen most of the businesses in the
country prosper relative to other factors. The leader of the country is Queen Elizabeth II while the
leader of government is the Prime Minister. The stability of the country is partly due to its heavy
investment in security. In addition, the country is the founding member of NATO, which has been
responsible in trying to stabilize other regions in the world that are unstable through military action
(TWB, 2012).
UKCPT's legal environment is highly developed with respect to the business in the country and
investment by people from all over the world. In the environment, director liability, as well as,
shareholder suits is possible. In addition, legal remedies such as payment of damages, fines, profits
repayments, imprisonment, and rescission of transactions, among others, are applicable legally.
Furthermore, accessing legal documents during trial is permitted. The country's highly developed
legal system ensures that investor protection index is high. Likewise, the legal system ensures
protections of patents and intellectual property (TWB, 2012; USCS, 2012).

The Importance Of Environment On The Environment
The environment has a major influence in the personal health of a child and many of them are not
aware of how it affects them drastically. Various health conditions are either caused or aggravated
by environmental factors. One of the major health causing hazards is air pollution which can results
in asthma, cancer, and other severe respiratory conditions of which, many of these children are naïve
about how to protect themselves from these diseases. Students from the grades four through sixth
need to be educated about the health hazards resulting from air pollution and learn practices at
school that will help lessen air pollutants for their overall health and for future generations as well.
Applications such as riding your bike and walking to school, and creating your own garden, will
help promote good health for children as it will help improve air quality for them.
Education
Educating students on environmental hazard, specifically air pollution, at a young age can help
prevent premature respiratory conditions and so, teachers must find creative ways for students to
understand how much air quality can affect them. To begin one of these activities, teachers will
provide background information about common issues that are affecting the environment both
globally and locally then provide an activity that will get students engaged as to understanding why
and how these issues came to be. Students in grades four through six should be able to understand
the characteristics of organisms and their environment, and so teachers will focus on the latter of
this topic. One of the lessons would be teaching what is "environmentalism," by stating that,
"everything that we do in our daily lives affects this interrelationship [ecology] as the earth is
always changing. Today people are changing the earth faster than any forces of nature. We have
created many problems like landfills, oil spills, and nuclear disasters" (Norwood 1996). Once
understanding the facts, students will record a weeks' worth of visible pollution by "spreading a thin
layer of Vaseline on one side of several 3 by 5 index cards then placing the cards in a variety of
places where they will be undisturbed for one week. At the end of the week collect all the

The State Of The Environment
The State of the Environment in William Gibson's Neuromancer In William Gibson's Neuromancer
the natural world has become virtually nonexistent. The environment has essentially been destroyed
and replaced with man–made technology, and anything genuinely 'natural' has become unfamiliar
and even intimidating to humans. People in the dystopian society of Neuromancer are able to
manipulate the ecological world to an incredible extent, so much so that even the human body has
become unnatural through the use of medical technology such as artificial organs. However, despite
the incredible abilities of technology in Neuromancer, certain imperfections show that humans are
still incapable of recreating everything that they have destroyed, and thus Gibson is encouraging
environmental preservation in the underlying themes of his book. Gibson's portrayal of the
environment, or lack thereof, in this future dystopia represents his fear of what the world would
become if humans were to abandon nature. It is regrettably clear from the beginning of the novel
that even the few aspects of nature that have not been destroyed by human activity are no longer
viewed with admiration, nor do they contain beauty like they do in the real world; they are dull,
gray, and unnerving.
Gibson reveals the state of the environment in the opening of the book, and implies humans' lack of
connection with nature using one of the most inherently natural features of the planet. Rather than

Human Activity : The Environment : Humans And The Environment
the environment is not just a Liberal, Republican or Democratic idea; it's everybody's business. The
environment provides life for every person on this earth, and we must recognize that Earth's
resources are finite. The resources are contained within the boundaries of planet Earth, and are
therefore very limited. Many of our resources can be recycled or regenerated, but it takes time for
this to happen "The rate in which modern human civilization is using up those resources is faster
than they can be naturally regenerated" (Mike Adams Humans vs the Environment). Human activity
is destroying the environment. Since we are cutting down the rain forest, this in return is releasing
gases into the atmosphere. Rivers and oceans are being polluted and causing severe damage.
Hundreds of years ago North America had huge forests, clear, clean rivers, and abundant land for
agriculture. Today land has been over developed, and is over–populated to the point that our
ancestors are rolling–over in their graves from the devastation humans are doing to our planet. The
corporate greed of several large companies such as Monsanto DuPont, oil companies, fast–food
chains, and chemical companies will not stop until every exploitable resource on our planet has been
used up or sold to consumers. We can tell there is not a lot of hope that any meaningful change will
come from any of these companies. "The corporate greed machine will continue rolling forward at

Human Environment And Environment
How often do you think about how your actions affect the environment around you? Human
Environment Interaction is the impact the ecosystem has on human, how keeping the environment
safe is good for our essential well–being, and how our values and and knowledge of the
environment affects us. Equally important, is how any type weather affects us on what we wear,
what crops we grow and how they grow, and what types of activities we partake in that day. In
addition, how different environments of places cause what people do in those places, how people act
or are, how the weather is compared to other places in the world. Although people may believe that
cutting down trees may not be harmful to them and nature, the correlation between human lifestyle
and nature is important to both sides since it creates oxygen that we breath, and we use important
goods from the environment to create homes and communities, it is also important since the weather
helps us grow crops and plants. Human Environment Interaction(HEI): The interactions between
humans and the environment that surrounds them. Anytime you walk out and smell flowers, or
breathe the air that trees create you are interacting with the environment. To truly understand HEI
you must be informed of the values and knowledge of it. For years, humans have torn down and
have done whatever they have wanted to the environment but now it has come back to hurt us. As
humans must know when to tear down certain environments in moderation instead of tearing down
what we have, know when to replant and regrow what we have torn down. When we do tear down
the environments we impact the ecosystem. As stated before, by doing this the environment is
coming back and hurting us with the rising temperatures and the phenomenon which is global
warming. This is dangerous to do since the environment is essential to our well–being. Nature is
good for us as, once again, it produces oxygen for us to breathe, and materials to produce homes and
products. On the other hand though, we do not just affect the environment, the environment affects
us most importantly, weather does. The weather is another thing people overlook on a daily basis.
You look outside the window and notice that it's sunny.

As food industry is saturated, it will be hard to add new outlets. Other than that increase in food
sources pricing, the continuation of annual dividend and price competition that driven by the
competitors hinder the capability to raise revenue. Nonetheless, to rectify this problem the company
has swift the focus from a value menu to a more diverse one. Another problem is that there is
limited product innovation and sometime customers will be sick of eating the same food again and
again. It is also harder to find prime locations and when expand over to other countries; it will have
to face the posing potential cultural challenges. There is also growing concern with the healthy diet
as the result MacDonald being a fast food restaurant will be an unhealthy choice to most of the

Effects Of Environment On The Environment
In many distinctive instants, change does not occur until something drastic happens; only then do
people begin to come to awareness. According to "Physicians for Social Responsibilities",
environmental factors are estimated to be responsible for approximately 80% of cancer diagnosis
and deaths in the U.S. alone. Children, animals, and life everywhere are suffering due to
consequences of environmental hazards. The detrimental consequences of unprotected environments
are much greater than many perceive; therefore, by limiting harmful methods of environmental
destruction and raising awareness these consequences may be decreased. The amount of
contamination in the Earth's water and atmosphere has increased tremendously over the years.
Factors such as fossil fuel combustion, water pollution, deforestation, toxic chemicals, and a
multitude of others all contribute greatly to the environmental harm that is being faced today.
Investigation has brought out evidence that pernicious industrial chemicals seem to be more
widespread throughout the environment than anticipated. The abundance of pollutants exposed to
the air and water we rely on may cause a variety of health defects and problematic issues to human,
animal, and plant life everywhere. Urban development, farming, deforestation, and the building of
dams have crippling effects on both the environments and the species that thrive in those locations.
Approximately half of the world's forests have been cut down and a vast number

The External Environment Of Heineken
External environment
According to research (In home drinking, UK, June 2009), there is a decline in demand for beer. As
people are stimulated to have a healthier lifestyle, demand for beer has slightly dropped. As supply
remains constant and demand drops, chances are Heineken gets stuck with superfluous inventory.
Furthermore, in the UK in 2008 alone, tax on beer has been increased by 18%, discouraging people
to consume beer. This rapid change in environment did not get any response from Heineken. As tax
increased by 18%, Heineken raised its prices by 18% (or more) as well, as did their competitors.
After all, profit margins still have to be kept by every profit organisation.

In organisational structure, the culture part refers to a system of shared meaning within an
organisation, as is explained by Robbins and Barnwell.
Heineken claims that its culture is based on four fundamental principles: respect, passion, code of
business conduct and enjoy responsibly. These principles confer high values to the firm, as it acts in
a sustainable way and tries to create the maximum value for the customers. However, these
principles are given by the company itself, thus cannot be entirely reliable as it tries to promote
itself. It is not possible to identify the full truth about Heineken's culture, because the company has
never been involved in any major scandal.
Another interesting feature of Heinekens internal environment can be found in the annual report of
Heineken, which makes clear that the majority of permanent contracts is held by men; the number
of men with a permanent contract is 53,679, whereas only 12,649 women have a permanent contract
at Heineken. This fact shows that the company is predominately masculine (, but it may be
important to note that almost half of the directors on the board of directors are female). However the

Components of Business Environment
Components of business environment
On the basis of extent of intimacy with the firm, the environmental factors may be classified into
different levels or types. There are broadly two types of environment, the internal environment, i.e.
factors internal to the firm and the external environment i.e. factors external to the firm which have
relevance to it.
The internal factors are generally regarded as controllable factors because the company has control
over these factors; it can alter or modify such factors as its personnel, physical facilities,
organisation and functional means such as marketing mix to suit the environment.

The Importance Of Environment Status On The Environment

  • 1. The Importance Of Environment Status On The Environment Environment Status: To Be Determined Some humans spend their time obsessing over super–heroes while others are obsessing over saving the planet but is there a possible super– power capable of doing so? As emphasized in "Man and Nature" written in 2002 by George Perkins Marsh, a key figure to the commencement of environmentalism ("George Perkins Marsh", 2015), mankind has done its fair share of destroying nature's functionality with expectations of a futile environment in return. Although there are constant changes occurring to the environment and the policies having to do with the environment, this article addresses issues that have continued to depress throughout the years. Some of the main aspects and issues addressed in Marsh's article include the comparison of human vs. animal impact on the environment, changes that have begun to take place although they need a further power to fully improve, protection that needs to be put into place on pastures and land that have yet to be used, the search of a solution to balance the rainfall in each different kind of climate and biome and the need to be able to differentiate changes occurring because of human actions or because of geological actions. Marsh begins by explaining the different outcomes created by both humans and animals. He writes that animals act upon their roles in the food chain and buy their natural will to survive, while man often acts upon selfish needs. He writes that "Human differs from brute action, too, in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Poverty and Environment: an Essay on the... Poverty and Environment: An Essay on the Poverty–Environment Linkages Josiah Mwangi Ateka School of Economics , Kenyatta University November 2012 1.0 Background Poverty reduction and environmental conservation represent two of the main global challenges. The two targets constitute part of the eight Global Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Arising from the thinking that Environmental degradation and poverty reinforce each other since the poor are both agents and victims of environmental destruction; the poverty–environment hypothesis has become a major concern of international development agencies and policy makers. It is often argued that the poor are often the biggest victims of environmental destruction since they depend ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is argued that this 'investment poverty' criterion is a stronger criterion than the conventional focus on 'welfare poverty', as households above a welfare–determined poverty line could still be investment poor. 2.0 Poverty and Environment Linkages This section attempts to give a general overview of some of the basic issues in the poverty– environmental degradation debate. The objective is to provide general highlights on the key perspectives of the poverty and environment relationships. This will provide a foundation for the discussions on the theoretical and conceptual framework presented later on in section 3. The poverty–environmental linkage has several dimensions. From an economic growth perspective; rapid economic growth is often seen as the key foundation for achieving poverty reduction. There is a lot empirical evidence in support of this assertion. Therefore while the linkage between economic growth and poverty reduction is generally obvious, the relationship between economic growth and degradation of the environment or and improvement in the environment remains ambiguous or unclear. One part of the poverty–environment hypothesis suggests that economic growth is needed to break the poverty–environment downward ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The main factor that affects most business is the degree of competition – how fiercely other businesses compete with the products that another business makes. The other factors that can affect the business are: Social – how communities behave and their beliefs. Legal – the way in which legislation in society affects the business. Economic – how the economy affects a business Political – how changes in government policy might affect the business Technological – how the rapid pace of change in production processes and product innovation affect a business. Ethical – what is regarded as morally right or wrong for a business (15) An organization is an open system; therefore it interacts with its environment. Ecology represents other human beings, and the air, water and soil in the natural environment that support their well–being (Louw and Venter, 2013). Global warming is an issue facing organisations and the rest of the world and it is important for organisations to evaluate their contribution towards the problem. The potential impact regarding damage to the environment can cause severe customer and stakeholder backlash resulting in a reduction in the valuation of the firm. • 5. Environmentalism And Environment In the wake of nuclear threats, and ever–industrializing world, environmentalism was conceived. People began to finally consider how the actions and needs of humanity were negatively impacting the physical world around us, and began to become a voice in opposition to environmental degradation on many different levels. While environmentalism in the past has often been pure in intent, many of the goals involve governmental change, and forgo focus on the individual. While regulations and laws in favor of the environment are obviously positive, they are worthless if they are not implemented on an individual level. Individual and local efforts, in terms of environmentalism, are often the most impactful and effective, eventually leading to change on a larger scale. With this idea in mind, environmentalism cannot just be something that occurs in wake of a threat or focuses on large–scale rules and regulations; it must work on shifting the perspective of individuals on a personal level. During the 19th and 20th century, both rapid industrialism and nuclear threats caused a new perspective on the role of the environment to humanity. Nuclear weapons allowed many to realize that the fate of humanity and the environment were linked up with one another. If the environment is destroyed, humanity will ultimately perish too. With a new publisher–Elsevier–it is our hope that we shall reach new markets and opportunities. In recent issues, these explorations have been extended to theorising the role of accounting in transnational global processes, and to the channels of global information and the interpretation of that information. In particular, contributions have attempted to explore the notion that accounting discourse is a medium through which relationships between business and society can be created, nurtured ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A cross–sectional analysis indicates that the share price response is mainly a function of the relative fine imposed on the firm; other explanatory variables such as environmental performance news or sector membership were unsuccessful in explaining variations in the market responses they observed. Equally, Accounting Forum has been interested in the interdependencies between social and environmental accounting which extend to the nexus between accounting and information to employees and other relevant parties. In this issue of Accounting Forum, R. G. Day presents evidence concerning the evolution of reporting about employees in the last century and its relationship with mandatory disclosure rules (Day, 2004). This is an interesting phenomenon, given that the current conceptual framework for corporate environmental reporting has only recently begun to analyse the relationship between voluntary and regulated disclosure. For example, accounting research is only just beginning to examine the relationships between the role that International Standards such as ISO 14001 have had on the reporting function. In Day's article, however, he focuses on evidence from the UK and finds that there is an apparent disregard for statutory disclosures. Implicit in much of the Corporate Environmental and Social Reporting (CE&SR) literature is the supposition ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Frankenstein and the Environment The environment has a lot to say in Marry Shelly's Frankenstein. It seems to reflect somewhat what is going on emotionally with Victor in the story. Victor finds solace in solitude with nature, and appears to use it as a coping mechanism to escape from the horrors of his life. Nature also ties into how the monster Victor has created feels, but in a much different way than it does for him. Victor becomes ill sometime during the story after he leaves home and goes off to study at college. It is assumed by his father that he will feel better after being with his family and Elizabeth, the woman who he will later marry. But really all Victor wants is to take a breath of fresh air alone, showing how he truly feels about solitude and the environment. It makes the reader wonder what he really cares about, and if he even misses his family. "We passed a fortnight in these perambulations: my health and spirits had long been restored, and they gained additional strength from the salubrious air I breathed, the natural incidents of our progress . . ." Throughout everything that happens to Victor in the book. Including the death of his mother, brother, Elizabeth, and his father. All that seems to calm him is his return to nature. • 9. The Impact Of The Environment On The Environment Humanity is slowly discovering new diseases, infections, and deadly illnesses. Researchers blame genetics and how it is passed down from generation to generation through shared chromosomes. If they don't blame genetics they blame the adaptation of species or the animals consumed by the population. However, these animals carry what they consume: plants, insects, water, oxygen, and any other animal the predators consume. People eat the meat, the vegetables, and breathe the oxygen that the trees let out during photosynthesis, the food chain is being disrupted because of the impact that the humans have on the ecosystem and vice versa. The realistic view of what is happening is that citizens are innovating having the tendency to litter, industries are being created causing pollution and oil spills, malls are being made while parks and forests are being cut down for parking. With this said, the ecosystem is, in reality, the reason for the diseases affecting human health. As the environment changes in the community, the human species struggle to adapt and accommodate themselves because of pollution in the air, land, and water causing problems such as Cancer, Asthma, and other diseases. Although the environment impacts human health, the human community is also having a drastic impact on the environment because of gentrification, innovation, and accommodation. The impact that the environment has on human health is just as drastic as humanity having an impact on the environment. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Environment And Human Environment Ecosystems is the dynamic complex of plant, animal and micro–organism communities and their non–living environment that work together to form a functional unit and they are constantly changing due to the fluctuating equilibrium from natural stress and human action which has had adversarial impacts on ecosystems. This is evident in Minnamurra rainforest as human induced modifications and environmental stresses had resulted in a vulnerable ecosystem. Furthermore, the removal of factors that contribute to the vulnerability of an ecosystem is important as it affect the functioning of the ecosystem as processes are accelerated, biodiversity is decreased which greatly affects humans. Despite the negative effects caused by humans, they have discovered that ecosystems are susceptible from harm caused by natural environmental factors or human impacts and realised the importance of protecting and managing ecosystems therefore have implemented management strategies that are supposed to prevent further detriment and as a consequence may induce resiliency. Within Minnamurra rainforest all biophysical components rely on each other, for example changes to the lithosphere (gaseous elements surrounding the earth), can cause stress to the flora and fauna within the ecosystem and impact other abiotic factors. Human interaction has also caused many detrimental impacts on the ecosystem through changes in lithospheric processes. For instance littering can bring unwanted diseases that can affect ... • 11. Trump's Impact On The Environment Economic growth and social development are complementary and have a close but complex relationship. With the economic growth, it is clear there have been lasting damaging effects on the environment today. Many species today are threatened with extinction, deforestation and over–exploitation of mineral resources. A Good Example Of Environment An industries ' environment allows organizations to survive and strive by undertaking the opportunities presented to them and overcoming the threats that may come in its way. A good example of environment influence would be the opportunity presented to smartphone application writers created by organizations such as Apple and Samsung with the lines of smart phones Iphone and Samsung Galaxy and at the same time a threat to newspaper companies, as the usage of online sources of information increases. When looking at Ryanair, an airline with 1,600 routes around the european union and north africa, legislation varies between governments of different countries, forcing them to adapt to the different tax policies between countries such as Spain and Morocco, however government taxes don't vary as much given most flights are within the EU however there is passenger service charge, which some airports have which "is a charge made by the airport authority to an airline for the use of the terminal, runway, emergency services, security facilities"(Ryanair, 2015). • 13. Capitalismism And Environment In order to answer questions about: if green consumption being able to solve environmental problems, if purchasing eco–friendly products as well as green technology is the answer to global environmental degradation, and if capitalism is able to save the environment or not, background information certainly needs to be presented before my personal opinion is contributed. To introduce capitalism, society, and the environment, I would like to begin with the statement that humans affect nature, or the natural environment. Pollution and depletion are two ways this happens. On one side with pollution, the environment becomes contaminated by toxic items. On the other side with depletion, the environment's natural resources are being exhausted. Even though both are negative and both are bad for the environment, not one of them is necessarily better to have. To discuss capitalism, seeking profit and private property is what capitalism strives for. This is essentially their main desire. In slightly simpler words, it seeks to collect capital, or money. Capitalism affects the environment in a negative way, but it also causes stratification. The way it does this is by exploiting workers. Thinkers who are Ecological Marxists are contemporary thinkers who added onto Karl Marx's theory original proposed thought processes about capitalism. Safe Environment: For the first part of my observation I noticed that the environment was not in the best shape that it could be, so I asked the program supervisor "John" why the environment looked like it was under repair and he explained that the whole school was under construction. Through my observation I did notice that for the most part the environment was safe, but it did have major hazards that concerned me. The environment had safe ratios, for example, in the specific class that I observed there was seven infants and two adults the caretakes informed me that it is regularly eight infants in the classroom four infants per adult, but a child was out sick with the flu. In addition, I noticed that in the front part of the classroom where the door entry and fire extinguisher are located there was a fire and emergency plan that includes emergency information and a plan to get the infants to safety. The classroom also had emergency numbers posted by the phone area and I was told that all emergency cards were stored in a file card holder that is easy to access. Furthermore, throughout my observation I noticed that children could take risk opportunities like running around, climbing, and playing in tent areas without injury and with constant supervision. The classroom I observed was accepting of constant interactions, but they always made it clear to the children that it was not appropriate to hurt one another. However, although the program had many good qualities that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The enterprise, on the other hand, has very little control over its environment.  The business environment presents two challenges to the enterprise, viz., the challenge to combat the environmental threats (such as intensification of competition, declining market etc.) and to exploit the business opportunities.  The basic job ... • 19. The Environment : The Major Factors To The Environment And... INTRODUCTION The environment is essential to the organisms living within it, that is beneficial by providing food and shelter. Its quality began to be degrade as soon as the industrial revolution began around 1700s. This threatened the existence of many plant and animal species but humans were viewing this as an opportunity to end poverty and other related problems. This was also another way to aid with economic growth. Economic growth is the increased production of goods over a period of time produced per head of the population. Environmental degradation is a major problem in developing countries because the damage done to the environment is less. Developing countries are those which have poor agricultural background and are seeking to become more economically and socially advanced, they can be characterized by low GDP, lack of industries and enterprises, dependent on agriculture and more. This degradation contributes to factors like global warming and climate change. It is evident that economic growth does not benefit the environment but the people only, so the environment is indeed compromised. With every seconds, a country that is developing destroys a piece of vegetation in order to build more facilities that will elevate the country. WHY THE ENVIRONMENT SHOULD BE SUSTAINED There is only one world habitable for human beings which is the one we are living in at present. It is our duty to take care of it, but one of the things that gets in the way is economic growth. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There is no question that human activities have badly harmed the natural environment and this negative impact has always be a major concern. People starts to aware of the potential effect of environmental damage on the ecosystems. Therefore there has been increasing concern over the companies' impacts on the environment (Hart 1995). Chatterji et al (2009) mentioned that it becomes significant for the companies to take environmental issues into consideration as there is an increasing interest in how the companies deal with their environmental impact. Also, the public becomes more scrutiny about this matter over time. The original concept of corporate social responsibilities focus only on the social responsibilities, such as employment and consumer rights. As environmental damage has become major concern in the recent years, the concept of corporate social responsibilities has also covered environmental responsibilities, such as water pollution and polluted gas emission, which in turn become one of the important parts of corporate social responsibilities practices (Flammer 2013). • 24. The Environment Of An Organization Introduction Understanding the environment that encompasses an association that is vital to the executives accountable for the associations. There are a few reasons behind why understanding the environment is important. First, the environment provides resources that an organization needs in order to create goods and services. In the seventeenth century, British writer John Donne broadly noticed "no man is an island." Similarly, it is exact to say that no association is independent. As the human body must devour oxygen, nourishment, and water, an organization needs to take in resources, such as, work, cash, and crude materials from outside its limits. An association can 't make due without the backing of its surroundings. Second, the environment is a place of opportunities and threats for an organization. Managers must also realize that almost any environmental movement is possible to create opportunities for some organizations and threats for others. Officials should likewise understand that for all intents and purposes any ecological pattern or occasion is liable to make open doors for a few associations and dangers for others. Third, the environment forms the numerous strategic decisions that manager's make as they try to lead their organizations to success. Nature regularly puts vital limitations on an association 's objectives, for instance, a firm that sets an objective of expanding yearly deals by 50 percent may battle to accomplish this objective amid a financial ... • 25. The Natural Environment How does the natural environment influence culture? There is a myriad of varying definitions for the word 'culture.' Instead of defining culture in general terms, it is often defined by how it is related to the environment; and consequently, how it is affected. Culture provides direction, and reason. Throughout history, people have remained stalwart and true to their roots and traditions. However, it has become evident that, with the changing environment, many traditional practices have had to adapt. Climate change is a key component causing this adaptation. Through reflecting upon environmental relativism, and cultural aspects, such as subsistence patterns, economic systems, and religion and world view, it can be concluded that the natural environment influences culture by causing environment–based traditions to mould to external factors. Environmental relativism can be defined as follows: the ways in which certain aspects of the physical environment are relevant to cultures and traditions. It is how the environment relates to a culture (personal communication, Kathy Rettie, September 7, 2017). The environment is an ever– changing system; it often cannot be predicted. Climate change, such as warmer winters, rising sea levels, and changes in precipitation, provide evidence that the individuals affected by the physical environment must change their way of life to adapt. This is particularly true for many nomadic cultures, who base their survival off the changing weather ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Victory over Nazi–Germany was a result of industrialization; however it was detrimental for the environment. With industries booming, meant more pollution affecting natural resources. DDT was helping to save millions of lives from fatal disease, but there was minimal evidence as to how harmful this insecticide was for both humans and animals. Throughout the 1960's new research was discovered as to the impacts destroying the environment. Activists as well as politicians began to incorporate the value of protecting the environment into mainstream events. This gave the perfect opportunity for new organizations to arise, which over a dozen did. The most influential one being Greenpeace as it was the first organization to spread awareness about environmental issues, and is now the largest organization promoting a green and peaceful world. A decade before Greenpeace was established, leading environmentalist and biologist, Rachel Carson, published Silent Spring which shed light for the first time on the effects of pesticides. It challenged the belief that insecticides would not be harmful for people and animals. The impact industrialization had on the environment and on people's health, such as smog and pollution, was also brought up in the book. Considering this, it becomes increasingly difficult to create a "us vs them" scenario. When in reality, it is two groups of people who have grown up believing two different ideologies, and there is not really any type of dynamic change that is associated with this conversation. The contrast of these two conversations only add to the ongoing understanding of how difficult it is to have a difference if any. • 33. The Importance Of Environment On The Environment The environment has a major influence in the personal health of a child and many of them are not aware of how it affects them drastically. Various health conditions are either caused or aggravated by environmental factors. One of the major health causing hazards is air pollution which can results in asthma, cancer, and other severe respiratory conditions of which, many of these children are naïve about how to protect themselves from these diseases. Students from the grades four through sixth need to be educated about the health hazards resulting from air pollution and learn practices at school that will help lessen air pollutants for their overall health and for future generations as well. Applications such as riding your bike and walking to school, and creating your own garden, will help promote good health for children as it will help improve air quality for them. Education Educating students on environmental hazard, specifically air pollution, at a young age can help prevent premature respiratory conditions and so, teachers must find creative ways for students to understand how much air quality can affect them. To begin one of these activities, teachers will provide background information about common issues that are affecting the environment both globally and locally then provide an activity that will get students engaged as to understanding why and how these issues came to be. Students in grades four through six should be able to understand the characteristics of organisms and their environment, and so teachers will focus on the latter of this topic. One of the lessons would be teaching what is "environmentalism," by stating that, "everything that we do in our daily lives affects this interrelationship [ecology] as the earth is always changing. Today people are changing the earth faster than any forces of nature. We have created many problems like landfills, oil spills, and nuclear disasters" (Norwood 1996). • 34. The State Of The Environment The State of the Environment in William Gibson's Neuromancer In William Gibson's Neuromancer the natural world has become virtually nonexistent. The environment has essentially been destroyed and replaced with man–made technology, and anything genuinely 'natural' has become unfamiliar and even intimidating to humans. People in the dystopian society of Neuromancer are able to manipulate the ecological world to an incredible extent, so much so that even the human body has become unnatural through the use of medical technology such as artificial organs. However, despite the incredible abilities of technology in Neuromancer, certain imperfections show that humans are still incapable of recreating everything that they have destroyed, and thus Gibson is encouraging environmental preservation in the underlying themes of his book. Gibson's portrayal of the environment, or lack thereof, in this future dystopia represents his fear of what the world would become if humans were to abandon nature. It is regrettably clear from the beginning of the novel that even the few aspects of nature that have not been destroyed by human activity are no longer viewed with admiration, nor do they contain beauty like they do in the real world; they are dull, gray, and unnerving. Gibson reveals the state of the environment in the opening of the book, and implies humans' lack of connection with nature using one of the most inherently natural features of the planet. • 36. Human Environment And Environment How often do you think about how your actions affect the environment around you? Human Environment Interaction is the impact the ecosystem has on human, how keeping the environment safe is good for our essential well–being, and how our values and and knowledge of the environment affects us. Equally important, is how any type weather affects us on what we wear, what crops we grow and how they grow, and what types of activities we partake in that day. In addition, how different environments of places cause what people do in those places, how people act or are, how the weather is compared to other places in the world. Although people may believe that cutting down trees may not be harmful to them and nature, the correlation between human lifestyle and nature is important to both sides since it creates oxygen that we breath, and we use important goods from the environment to create homes and communities, it is also important since the weather helps us grow crops and plants. Human Environment Interaction(HEI): The interactions between humans and the environment that surrounds them. Anytime you walk out and smell flowers, or breathe the air that trees create you are interacting with the environment. To truly understand HEI you must be informed of the values and knowledge of it. For years, humans have torn down and have done whatever they have wanted to the environment but now it has come back to hurt us. As humans must know when to tear down certain environments in moderation instead of tearing down what we have, know when to replant and regrow what we have torn down. When we do tear down the environments we impact the ecosystem. As stated before, by doing this the environment is coming back and hurting us with the rising temperatures and the phenomenon which is global warming. This is dangerous to do since the environment is essential to our well–being. Nature is good for us as, once again, it produces oxygen for us to breathe, and materials to produce homes and products. On the other hand though, we do not just affect the environment, the environment affects us most importantly, weather does. The weather is another thing people overlook on a daily basis. • 39. Effects Of Environment On The Environment In many distinctive instants, change does not occur until something drastic happens; only then do people begin to come to awareness. According to "Physicians for Social Responsibilities", environmental factors are estimated to be responsible for approximately 80% of cancer diagnosis and deaths in the U.S. alone. Children, animals, and life everywhere are suffering due to consequences of environmental hazards. The detrimental consequences of unprotected environments are much greater than many perceive; therefore, by limiting harmful methods of environmental destruction and raising awareness these consequences may be decreased. The amount of contamination in the Earth's water and atmosphere has increased tremendously over the years. Factors such as fossil fuel combustion, water pollution, deforestation, toxic chemicals, and a multitude of others all contribute greatly to the environmental harm that is being faced today. Investigation has brought out evidence that pernicious industrial chemicals seem to be more widespread throughout the environment than anticipated. The abundance of pollutants exposed to the air and water we rely on may cause a variety of health defects and problematic issues to human, animal, and plant life everywhere. Urban development, farming, deforestation, and the building of dams have crippling effects on both the environments and the species that thrive in those locations. • 40. The External Environment Of Heineken External environment According to research (In home drinking, UK, June 2009), there is a decline in demand for beer. Furthermore, in the UK in 2008 alone, tax on beer has been increased by 18%, discouraging people to consume beer. This rapid change in environment did not get any response from Heineken. As tax increased by 18%, Heineken raised its prices by 18% (or more) as well, as did their competitors. After all, profit margins still have to be kept by every profit organisation. Over the past couple of years, part of Heineken's external environment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In organisational structure, the culture part refers to a system of shared meaning within an organisation, as is explained by Robbins and Barnwell. Heineken claims that its culture is based on four fundamental principles: respect, passion, code of business conduct and enjoy responsibly. These principles confer high values to the firm, as it acts in a sustainable way and tries to create the maximum value for the customers. However, these principles are given by the company itself, thus cannot be entirely reliable as it tries to promote itself. It is not possible to identify the full truth about Heineken's culture, because the company has never been involved in any major scandal. Another interesting feature of Heinekens internal environment can be found in the annual report of Heineken, which makes clear that the majority of permanent contracts is held by men; the number of men with a permanent contract is 53,679, whereas only 12,649 women have a permanent contract at Heineken. This fact shows that the company is predominately masculine (, but it may be important to note that almost half of the directors on the board of directors are female). However the company should try to overcome this discrepancy, in order to prevent any accuses of Heineken hiring and promoting men rather ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
