2. 1. SAFRA CATZ, CO-CEO, ORACLE
Safra Catz emerged as the highestpaid U.S. female executive in fiscal 2015 when
she became the cochief executive officer of Oracle Corp.
Catz was awarded a $56.9 million pay package last year, placing her first among
women on the Bloomberg Pay Index, a ranking of the 200 bestpaid executives at
companies that trade on U.S. exchanges.
3. 2. RUTH PORAT , CFO OF ALPHABET
Alphabet Inc.’s Chief Financial Officer Ruth Porat emerged as the No. 2 woman with
$41.1 million in awarded compensation after leaving Morgan Stanley, where she held
the same role.
Her pay package included a $5 million signon bonus.
4. 3.MARISSA MAYER, CEO OF YAHOO
Yahoo Inc. Chief Executive Marissa Mayer received nearly $36 million in total
compensation for 2015, down 14.5% from the previous year.
The Sunnyvale, Calif.based company, hard hit by shrinking revenue and stiffer
competition in mobile search, didn’t award any cash bonuses to executives for 2015.
5. 4. ANGELA AHRENDTS , SVP AT APPLE
Ahrendts received $81.6 million in 2014 when she left her job as CEO of fashion
company Burberry Group Plc to join Cupertino, Californiabased Apple as senior vice
president of retail and online stores.
Her pay for 2015 was $27.6 million, placing her fourth among female tech industry
bosses.
6. 5. VIRGINIA ROMETTY, CEO OF IBM
International Business Machines Corp. CEO Virginia Rometty is getting a $4.5 million
performance bonus for 2015, despite the computer maker’s ongoing financial
struggles.
IBM awarded Rometty a $3.6 million bonus and a 6.7% raise in base compensation.
That boosted her total compensation by 38.5% to $19.3 million, despite a 12.4% drop
in shareholder return.
7. 6. SHERYL SANDBERG, COO OF FACEBOOK
COO Sheryl Sandberg is so crucial to Facebook and its future that the social network
spent over $1.2 million to protect her in 2015.
Sandberg made $715,385 in base salary, a $1,265,193 bonus, $15,465,667 in stock
awards, and $1,252,724 in “all other compensation,” for a total pay package of
$18,698,969.
8. 7. URSULA BURNS, CEO OF XEROX
Burns has been handsomely rewarded while CEO at Xerox, including a big boost in
total compensation in 2014, according to the latest available public data filed with the
U.S. Securities and Commission.
She earned roughly $18.6 million, a $1.1 million salary, a $2 million cash bonus and
$15.5 million in Xerox stock.
9. 8. MARGARET WHITMAN, CEO OF
HEWLETT-PACKARD
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. Chief Executive Meg Whitman’s total compensation
was valued at $17.1 million last year, down 13% from 2014. Ms. Whitman’s base
salary remained at $1.5 million, but she received a smaller bonus.
Her nonequity incentive compensation declined to $2.5 million from $4.3 million a year
earlier.
