The Fed. States of Micronesia is an archipelago of 607 islands in the Pacific Ocean. The
country has both mountainous and low islands. The country's seashore is 6,112 km long.

The climate region of the Micronesia is tropical
There is heavy rain year-round, with occasional typhoons.
The vegetation of the country are tropical flowers and plants like
orchids and coconut trees.
The proximity to the Equator and no natural barriers from weather all
effect the climate.

The Micronesian Flag's blue background represents the Pacific Ocean, while the
stars in a diamond formation represent the four Micronesian states.
8. CURRENCY
The national currency is the United
States Dollar (USD). The currency is
split into 100 cents per dollar ($). This
currency was used likely because of the
fact that the F.S.M. is in a free
association with the U.S. government.
9. CULTURAL VISUALS
A traditional Micronesian food is the coconut crab ( Birgus iatro). The
coconut crab is one of the largest crabs in the world!
