MEANING OFCOSMETIC
Cosmetic means improve the appearance of a situation or thing but do not change
its basic nature and you are usually implying that they are inadequate. Cosmetic
are intended to be applied externally. They include but are not limited to produce
that can be applied to the face skin care creams, lipstick, eye, facial makeup, nails
polish , colored lenses, and hair sprays.
Cosmetic can be also described by the physical
compositional of the product. Cosmetic can be liquid or cream emulsions, powders,
both pressed and loose, dispersions and anhydrous creams or sticks.
DEFINITION OF COSMETIC
“A substance that you put on your face or hair to make yourself look
more attractive’’.

Cosmetic have been in use for thousands of years. The absence of regulation of the
manufacture and use of cosmetics has led to negative side effects. Egyptian men and
women used makeup to enhance their appearance. They were very fond of eyeliner
and eye- shadows in dark colors including blue, red and black. Ancient Sumerian
men and women were possibly the first to invent and wear lipstick about 5000
years ago. They crushed gemstones and used them to decorate their faces, mainly
on the lips and around the eyes.
According to one source, early major developments include,
 Kohl used by ancient Egypt as a protectant of the eye.
 Castor oil used by ancient Egypt as a protective balm.
 Skin creams made of beeswax, olive oil and rose water describes by romans.
 Vaseline in the nineteenth century.
One of the most popular traditional Chinese medicines is the fungus used as a beauty
product by women in China and Japan. The fungus reportedly increases moisture
retention in the skin and reducing wrinkles and smoothing fine lines.
As of 2016, the world’s largest cosmetic company is
L’OREAL which was founded by Eugene Schuler. Although Modern make up has been
traditionally used mainly by women, and increasing number of men are using
cosmetic with their features such as blemishes and dark circles.
Cosmetic are intended to be applied externally. They include, but are not limited to
be applied to the face, applied to the skin, applied to the body such as lipstick, lip
gloss, lip liner, concealer, foundation, lotions, perfumes, deodorants, bath oils, hair
permanent chemical, hand sanitizer, hair sprays, hair colors, brush or blusher,
highlight, Bronze, Mascara, Eyeliner, Nail Polish and Makeup Remover.

consistency used to give a warm color to the
cheeks. A toadstool with a buff cap bearing fluffy while spots and with white
flesh that turns pink.
 Eye Liner is used to enhance and elongate the
apparent size of the eye for example black eyeliner
make eyes look smaller, brightens up the face and
draws attention to the eyes.
 Nail polish is used to color the
fingernails and
toenaills. Transparent , colorless version may
strengthen nails or be used as a top or base coat
to protect the nail or polish.
 Highlight
used to draw attention to high points of the face such
as the cheeckbones, below the eyebrows, nose, upper
lips and collar bone.
 False eyelashes are used when exaggerated
eyelashes are desired. It consists of human hair,
mink hair or synthetic materials attached to a
thin cloth like every day wear.
 Makeup Remover is a product used to remove the makeup products
applied on the skin. It acts as a two-in-one by removing the makeup and
cleansing the skin.
Women are very much interested in new brand, product and styles as it can
enhance their look. Makeup products help to make a woman more attractive,
beautiful and alter the look without changing the human body. Now, it becomes an
essential part of their daily activities. Makeup lovers are always searching for best
makeup brands.

  • 2. MEANING OFCOSMETIC Cosmetic means improve the appearance of a situation or thing but do not change its basic nature and you are usually implying that they are inadequate. Cosmetic are intended to be applied externally. They include but are not limited to produce that can be applied to the face skin care creams, lipstick, eye, facial makeup, nails polish , colored lenses, and hair sprays. Cosmetic can be also described by the physical compositional of the product. Cosmetic can be liquid or cream emulsions, powders, both pressed and loose, dispersions and anhydrous creams or sticks.   • 3. Cosmetic have been in use for thousands of years. The absence of regulation of the manufacture and use of cosmetics has led to negative side effects. Egyptian men and women used makeup to enhance their appearance. They were very fond of eyeliner and eye- shadows in dark colors including blue, red and black. Ancient Sumerian men and women were possibly the first to invent and wear lipstick about 5000 years ago. They crushed gemstones and used them to decorate their faces, mainly on the lips and around the eyes. According to one source, early major developments include,  Kohl used by ancient Egypt as a protectant of the eye.  Castor oil used by ancient Egypt as a protective balm.  Skin creams made of beeswax, olive oil and rose water describes by romans.  Vaseline in the nineteenth century. One of the most popular traditional Chinese medicines is the fungus used as a beauty product by women in China and Japan. The fungus reportedly increases moisture retention in the skin and reducing wrinkles and smoothing fine lines. As of 2016, the world’s largest cosmetic company is L’OREAL which was founded by Eugene Schuler. Although Modern make up has been traditionally used mainly by women, and increasing number of men are using cosmetic with their features such as blemishes and dark circles.

They include, but are not limited to be applied to the face, applied to the skin, applied to the body such as lipstick, lip gloss, lip liner, concealer, foundation, lotions, perfumes, deodorants, bath oils, hair permanent chemical, hand sanitizer, hair sprays, hair colors, brush or blusher, highlight, Bronze, Mascara, Eyeliner, Nail Polish and Makeup Remover.   • 5.  Lipstick, lip gloss, lip liner, lip balm lipsticks are intended to add color and texture to the lips and often come in a wide range of colors as well as finishes such as matte, satin, gloss and luster.  A under eye circles and other implementation concealer covers imperfection of the skin concealer is often used for any extra coverage needed to cover pimple,  Eye Brows pencils, creams, waxes, gels and powders are used to color, fill in and define the brows. It is available in various colors and glitters. It include waterproof version.  Blusher a cosmetic of a powder or cream consistency used to give a warm color to the cheeks.   • 6.  Eye Liner is used to enhance and elongate the apparent size of the eye for example black eyeliner make eyes look smaller, brightens up the face and draws attention to the eyes.  Nail polish is used to color the fingernails and toenaills. Transparent , colorless version may strengthen nails or be used as a top or base coat to protect the nail or polish.  Highlight used to draw attention to high points of the face such as the cheeckbones, below the eyebrows, nose, upper lips and collar bone.  False eyelashes are used when exaggerated eyelashes are desired. It consists of human hair, mink hair or synthetic materials attached to a thin cloth like every day wear.
