Equilibrium Criminals are sat in a circle in their prison dressed
in orange jumpsuits - this group of criminals make
up Birmingham Prison’s ‘Criminals Club’. They
have one similarity in that all of their crimes were
solved by Detective Whittaker. Flashbacks are
used to show their various crimes being portrayed
which is coupled with a scene of Detective
Whittaker entering a disused warehouse.
Disruption The ‘Criminals Club’ begin planning their final
crime-to-end-all-crimes and utilizing their
relatives and their visiting hours with them in
order to help bring down the Detective one final
time.
Recognition Detective Whittaker realises the link between all
of the crimes and uses it to solve the current
crime in a lightbulb moment surrounded by his
paperwork and plans on a big see-through screen
covered in photographs of the current criminals.
Attempt to Repair There is one final shoot-out between Detective
Whittaker and Sam Hurst in the disused
warehouse which Whittaker entered in the
beginning of the film. Whittaker wins in the end
by getting Hurst in a strong grip on the floor and
cuffs him up.
New Equilibrium Detective Whittaker throws into prison room with
all other members of ‘Criminals Club’ and says
“I’m done with all of you”. Door is closed and
jumps to black.
