Project #04:
Title : Battery Monitoring System
Team Size : 8
Duration : 8 months
Nature of Project : Automotive Embedded
Microcotroller: :Mc9S12s128 / ATmega644P
Tools : Code warrior
Project status : Requirement study and Ideation
Description:
In this project we need to track the parameters like Terminal Voltage, Current, Percentage of charge,
Temparature of the Battery and Number of cycles completed in real time to be displayed on a LCD screen and
also log the data for analasis on PC work station.
Roles and Accompliments :
 Team Member.
 Development of the code for Buzzer, DC Motor control, Seven Segment Display and RTC modules.
Project # 03:
Title : Microwave Oven Timer
Team Size : 6
Duration : 8 Months
Controller : ATxmega32A4U
Nature of Project : Embedded System
Skills and Tools : C, Atmel Studio, JTAGICE3 Debugger
Project status : Completed
Description:
The project Microwave oven Timer is designed with the inputs as buttons on the front panel and a
temperature probe, and the outputs are the human-readable seven segment display with customized special
symbols to display hot, time over etc, and the microwave radiation control system. In normal condition the
microwave oven displays the normal real time clock. My roles to design and develop the drivers for DC motor
control, seven segment display, RTC, buzzer and thermostat driver.
Roles and Accompliments :
 Team Member.
 Development of the code for Buzzer, DC Motor control, Seven Segment Display and RTC modules.
Project # 02:
Title : Water Flow Meter WQ102
Team Size : 8
Duration : 8 months
Controller : PIC16F628
Nature of Project : Embedded System
Skills and Tools : C, AVR Studio.
Project status : Completed
Description:
In this system, the rate of water flow will be maintained at the desired value 25 liter per minute. This
is done by adjusting a valve that controls water. Valve is connected to the DC motor shaft. DC motor can be
operated on 12 volts dc. The motor is driven by driver IC TA7291P. This IC has four modes – stop, brake,
clockwise (CW), counterclockwise (CCW). IC pin No. 5 and 6 get input commands from PIC 16F628. These
commands are manipulated values from the controller and are applied to correct the deviation of the measured
value from a desired value. When water flows through the pipe, measured value is made by an optocoupler
with a slotted disk that provides a pulse train proportional to water flow. This pulse train is fed into PIC pin
No.12 as a frequency input. These input frequencies within a precise range are converted into flow rate by the
program.
Roles and Accomplishments:
 Team Member.
 Involved in firmware development on PIC16F628 microcontroller – LCD, UART, Timer, PWM
 Driver.
Project # 01:
Title : Chemical Mixing Machine
Team Size : 8
Duration : 8 months
Controller : ATmega169
Nature of Project : Embedded System
Skills and Tools : Embedded C,AVR Studio.
Project status : Completed
Description:
The main aim of the project is stir the liquid state of chemicals and pumping out at scaled quantity.
The main functionality is to fill the SS6 stand tank with capacitive touch overflow and underflow control unit
and also stirring the liquid as per user choice entry through push button user interface and also displaying the
current activity on the Liquid crystal Display with Alert system. To give accurate time stampings, we also
used IIC based RTC. The water in and outlets are controlled by electromagnetic solenoid valves. Whenever
chemical solution is drained out and reaches to below threshold lower limit low level sensor will activate the
magnetic motor to fill the tank till high level cap touch detection.
Roles and Accomplishments:
 Team Member.
 Involved in firmware development on ATmega169 microcontroller – LCD, UART, Timer, PWM
driver.
Declaration:
I hereby declare that all the above information is true to the best of my knowledge.
