What Did I Gain From
  My Practicum?
Knowledge
   Gained a greater understanding of the numerous
    career services available to students
   Learned about the many functions and
    responsibilities of the CS staff members
   What makes a good resume
   Post-Grad report, student regrets
   Students take their school and career aspirations
    very seriously, needs are diverse
   Better understanding of ISE student needs related
    to career services
   There is no one-size fits all when it comes to
    providing career services
Skills
   Improved my own skills relating to resume
    building
   Utilized C3M, CS student tracking system
   Ability to recognize when to recommend more
    specific career services based on an
    individual’s needs
   Can confidently provide students with advice
    regarding the job search and the job
    application process
Disposition
   Confirmed that my skills and knowledge can
    be a benefit to students
   Want my work to involve interaction with
    students
   More confidence working with students
    independently
Future career desires
   To secure a role that allows me to put to use
    both my business and higher ed knowledge
    and skills to benefit the university and the
    students

How has this practicum experience
helped me prepare for my future?
   This practicum experience has affirmed for me
    that my career choices must include the
    opportunity to work with students.

   Gained a competitive edge by allowing me to
    gain first-hand experience, practice my skills in
    a safe environment, and solidified my career
    plans.
