Wendy McGuinness spoke at the Playpen Event, held by the Institute of Public Leadership Civil Service College, on 19 July 2017 in Singapore. During Wendy's session 'Games for Nation Building', she discussed the ForesightNZ playing cards, an output from the ForesightNZ workshop in April 2016. The ForesightNZ playing cards instil players of any age with the capability to apply futures thinking, to be innovative and to wrestle with the futures of New Zealand.
