Constructed ForStore The Water And Use It In Farms.
• This Water Is Also Provide To Animales And Villagers For Drink. But In Present
There Is Not Much Water In This Dam.
• In This Dam Water Level Measure In Inches.
• Weare also very thankful to the authority of Bhikda Headworks which
provided us an informative guidence and gave practiacal based
approach learning to students and shared thair knowledge with

5. • The Information About Bhikda Dam And Lakhanka Dam Are Given
Below:-
•
•
• There Are Two Dams.
• The 1st
Dam Have Total 24 Gates.
• In This Gates 7 Gates Are Automaticaly Operated And 17 Gates
Manuaily Operated
• The Second Dam Have 10 Gates AndAll Gates Are Automaticaly
Operated.

6. • There Is Only One Dam.
• When We Visit This Dam There Present Level Of Water Was Around
3.5m.
• There Are Total 4 Gates In Dam And All Gates Are Electricaly
Operated.
7. • The Purpose Of Visit Is To Know How To Make A Dam And How Dam
Works.

8. • Dam generally serve the primery purpose of retaiting water, while
other structures such as floodgates or levels are used to mange or
prevent water flow into specifie land regions.
• To See The Structure Of Dam And Design Of Structure.
• A dam can also be used to collect water or for storej of water which
can be evenly distibuted between locations
• Our main purpose of the visit was to be familiar with experience of
field workand to get practial knowledge of routingof canal.
• We Can Visit The Dam And Learnt That Which Level Of Dam We Will
Have To Make Stronger So Dam Can Handle The Pressure And Force
Of Water.
• Use Of Deferent Types Of Materials in Dams Like R.C.C. , Cement ,
Sand , Aggregates , Water , etc.
• On 13/08/2016 our college management and our faculty head had
arranged an industrail visit for Bhikda dam near village bhikda &
lakhanka village. Which is constructedon river Maleshree. There
were various aspects that were useful for civil engineeringstudents
relaned to construction. Such aspects were provide by faculty which
was present at the site to guide the studens about the dams.

which can be evenly distibuted between locations.
• Dams generally serve the primary purpose of retainning water, while
other structure such as floodgates or levees are used to manage or
prevent water flow into specific land regions.
10. • It Was My First Experience. We Enjoy This Trip and Get some
Knowledge.
• We Also Get Information About Structure and Design Of Dam.
• From this visit, we got information and practical knowledge were
also made aware about different protection measures used in
reservoir head works.
• Thus this visit was very delightful and we hada great
knowledgeable experince. We were really satisfied and had a great
time.
