texts consists of the themes about discovery. "Away" by Michael Gow is a play in a play. It is about
three Australian families who went on holidays in mid–summer up the coast where they were driven
together by the storm. The storm leads the families to discover new people, places and has renewed
understandings of themselves and others. In the play, Gow explores the themes of suffering,
regeneration, grief, and the healing effects that can have on an individual. And, "The discovery" by
MacEwan is a poem about constant exploration and how nothing can ever fully be understood.

Over the course of the semester we have discussed and analyzed several issues and situations that

About 97% of today's youth are connected to the internet in some way, and about 20–40% have
experienced some form of cyberbullying at least once.1 This means that about 200–400 million

Awareness of physical activity guidelines amongst the UK student population was found to be
69.6% in this study. This varies considerably from awareness levels determine on a national level in
other developed, high income countries similar to the UK. A recent study in America for example,

Resource Center. She, along with the director of the Children's Advocacy Center, director of the
Youth Service Bureau, a representative from Children and Youth Services, and a representative from

Analysis of "Concrete Angel"
Many generations view music as a form of entertainment only, so our society tends to overlook the
messages behind the music. Many artists use music to promote their beliefs or inform their listeners
about overlooked issues. Music spreads awareness about misfortunes in the world, and Martina
McBride used her celebrity status to promote her own concerns about child abuse. In 2002, Martina
McBride recorded a song "Concrete Angel" to spread awareness about child abuse. Her song is
intended for the general population that are bystanders because most people are aware of tragedies
such as child abuse, and most tragedies can be prevented. Through the elements of plot, character,
and foreshadowing, "Concrete Angel" illustrates the story of a young girl's abuse in order to call the
bystanders to awareness of the societal problem. Throughout the song, the plot consists of multiple

I grew up not being as exposed to the world of diversity. This is why I decided on level three,
questioning and self–exploration. At this point I am aware of all the information that I lack on
certain subjects. Because of this revelation I actively search out information about race, religion,
sexual orientation, gender spectrum and general opinions over commonly discussed issues. I believe
that in this globalized world people do need to become more aware of the differences in people in
order to embrace humanity as a whole. The next step to becoming more culturally aware is to
continue to gather more information. On the other hand Garrett was more generous and decided that
I am in level five, validation of diversity. He believes that I already have enough understanding of
different beliefs and practices. He describes how I take other people into consideration when
working with and talking to others. I appreciate his insight into how he views my knowledge of
cultural awareness. Before I am willing to agree with Garrett I know that there is more information
to know. I will agree with Socrates when he says "One thing I know is that I know nothing".
When interacting with others Garrett and I both agree that I fall into level five, validation. I support
the ideas and concepts that others add to the discussion based on their different backgrounds.

The Importance Of Being A Community Engagement Intern
Introduction
For the fall semester, I have the privilege of being a community engagement intern for the Office of
the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. My supervisor, Lateefah Williams–is the
community engagement specialist whose main goal is to create a liaison with the Attorney General
and the constituents of Washington D.C. As an intern, my main role is assisting Ms. Williams on
programs that educate the constituents on issues that affect the community, administrative tasks, and
the implementation of future events within the district. I started my internship towards the end of
September for the sole purposes of comprehending the advocacy, awareness, and diligence that goes
into building ties within the community.

A) Diversification– Being in an environment with intelligent, talented, experienced, and diverse
professionals has allowed me to understand the beauracatric work that goes behind the Office of the
Attorney General. There are numerous divisions within the department, such as the Office of
Consumer Protection, Public Safety Division, Family Service Division, Public Interest Division,
Civil Litigation Division, Commercial Division, Office of the Solicitor General, Child Support
Services Division, Personnel, Labor, and Employment Division, Legal Counsel Division, and
Support Services Division. Depending on the department, tasks could vary from giving legal advice
to families to aiding children in abusive or neglected homes. These various departments

The Differences Between Dementia And Alzheimer 's Disease
When a lot of people think about dementia or Alzheimer's disease, they usually use the two
interchangeably and think they have to do with memory. It is true that they have to do with memory,
but there are major differences between dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Misconceptions and lack
of knowledge can lead to death or injury, which is why initiatives like Healthy People 2020 are so
important. Dementias and Alzheimer's affect a person's daily life in many ways and it can be
dangerous or deadly if not diagnosed and dealt with properly. It is important that there is an increase
in people and their caregivers who are aware of the diagnosis and a decrease in preventable
hospitalizations. Before explaining why this initiative is so important, it is necessary to explain the
differences between dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Dementia is actually not a disease. It's a
bunch of symptoms and is seen more as an umbrella term ( ). It is generally used to describe the loss
or decline of cognitive functioning to the point where it affects the person's daily life. Dementia
occurs in people who have diseases such as " " ( ). It is generally seen as an elder problem that
develops as someone ages, but this is not necessarily true. Most people who have dementia or
Alzheimer's are 65 or older, but there is a type of dementia that affects younger people. This type is
called Early–Onset Dementia (EOD) that affects people under 65 years, while 65 years and older
would be Late–Onset Dementia
