2. Dragon Boat Anyone?
Think of paddling a really big canoe while dressed in a crazy costume.
SCI has the opportunity to enter a team in Simcoe County’s first High School Dragon
Boat Championship. The event is taking place the morning of Thursday September 28th
on Barrie’s beautiful Kempenfelt Bay!
The race is open to all high school students in Simcoe County. Each team consists of 21
students to paddle (10 boy and 10 girl paddlers + 1 drummer)
No experience is necessary – just some enthusiasm and willingness to learn!
Teams are required to participate in 2 practice sessions prior to the event and we need
to declare our interest to participate by this Friday.
If you and a group of your friends are interested in demonstrating the strength of the
Spartan – please sign up on the list posted outside of Student Services.
