1. Science Olympics
SCI will be hosting our very own Science
Olympics TODAY. At 11:20 in Room 213
we will start a competition to create the
strongest tower possible. Contestants
will have 20 minutes to create the tower
followed by testing. Winner will get a
prize.
2. Intramural Volleyball Championship
• The day is here- championship games for volleyball intramurals are
happening TODAY at lunch with junior teams 4 and 6 playing off for
the title at 11:10 and senior team 1 vs. Teachers at 11:30. If you are
on one of these teams please be sure to be in the gym and ready to
go at your game time. Anyone not playing- come out and cheer on
the teams as they complete for the championship!!
3. There are still a few seats left for
this event. The trip is free and-
there’s a FREE LUNCH! See Mr.
Morris or Ms. Gowan in Guidance
to get your permission slip.
4. It’s time to start thinking about the Girls Volleyball Season.
Junior Girls- the sign up sheet is posted in the gym hallway.
First Try-Out for Grade 9 girls will be on Tuesday November 6
and for Grade 10 girls there will be a scrimmage on Thursday
November 8.
Practices will take place after school 2:45-4pm

Senior Girls- sign up sheet is posted outside Ms. P’s room.
The first try-out is Tuesday. Please see Ms. P if you are not
able to attend.

6. Medical School Info Session for Students
• University of Toronto Family Medicine and RVH are partnering with
Simcoe County school boards to present “What to Expect at Medical
School.” If you or a family member are interested in a future career in
medicine, then please join us at Bear Creek Secondary School on
Tuesday, November 27th at 6 p.m. Tests, finances, schedules and more
will be discussed first-hand by residents, current med students and
the teaching unit of U of T Family Medicine. See guidance to sign up!
