This presentation  is in honor of  Wesley Gormus, Jr. and  Wesley Gormus, III (Trey) for their accomplishments and adventures in the Scouting Program. -by Elizabeth Gormus
This is about a father  and his son and the growth  of their relationship through Scouts over a 12 year period.  Due to the length of time –  consolidation was difficult.   Wesley and Trey, I hope you enjoy this walk down  memory lane.
Wesley and Trey  started their Scouting adventure together  in  CUB SCOUTS
1996 First Cub Scout Den Meeting  -Wesley was Trey’s Den Leader in Pack 6551, Buckingham, VA - The Pack was started by Wesley and Chartered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Buckingham Branch
Our First Scout Sunday Wrong hand Trey !  * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  It was hard for Trey to remember  to raise his right hand because he is left handed.
What would  Cub Scouts  be without…….. PARADES !

Trey turned 11 and a month later went to his first Boy Scout week of camping at  T. Brady Saunders – WITHOUT HIS DAD ! 2000
But his Grandpa Thompson was there Scoutmaster Spencer Adams
Wesley presented Trey with his first Swiss Army Knife
Anyone that knows Trey, knows that he  knows his knots !!!  He can tie them and identify them blindfolded.
Trey was goofing off in the outdoor shower showing us how he took a shower – I don’t know that he really did take one that week.

Trey has always had that gorgeous,  contagious smile,  a kind and tender disposition,  a helpful attitude, a scouter’s heart …..
… .and an ever present and supportive father.

Trey’s love of the outdoors was developed and nurtured through the scouting program.  He is currently enrolled in Southern Utah University in the Outdoor Parks and Recreation Department in his quest to become a Park Ranger.
Wesley and Trey ,  CONGRATULATIONS !!   I want to let you know how extremely proud  I am of both of you, for the wonderful  father and son you have always been  and the awesome relationship you have  developed through scouting.  I am truly blessed to be your wife and mother.  “My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to, your dreams stay big, your worries stay small, You never need to carry more than you can hold, and while you're out there getting where you're getting to, I hope you know somebody  LOVES YOU ,  and wants the same things too, THIS IS MY WISH .”  I LOVE YOU BOTH !!!
