3. The Wasaga Beach YMCA
is running a course for high school students (must be 16 years old by the
end of the course - May 17, 2016). It is called the Aquatic Leadership
Program, they will receive 2 high school credits and have the chance to
become a certified Lifeguard by the end of the course. This course is
offered at a significantly discounted rate of $350 tax in + $80 for manuals
(normally the three courses cost $745 before tax).
The course is running from January 2016 - May 2016 on Tuesday evenings.
This is a great opportunity for students who need an extra credit or 2, and
they may come out of the course with an employable skill for a great job
like lifeguarding!
If you would like to register you can pay with credit over the phone, or they
can go into the YMCA to register in person with cash, debit, or cheque.
