This document defines and provides examples of different types of adverbs including adverbs of frequency, time, place, manner, degree, and comment adverbs. It explains that adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs and are often formed by adding -ly to adjectives. Examples are provided to illustrate how adverbs are used in sentences to describe when, how often, how, how much, and where actions occur as well as to provide opinions.
