1. Countable:
- Singular (one);
-Plural (2+)
Most nouns take –s: chair – chairs; bus – buses; cherry – cherries; wife –
wives
Irregular plural: child – children; man – men; woman – women; foot –
feet; tooth – teeth; goose – geese; mouse – mice; sheep – sheep; deer –
deer; fish – fish
2. Uncountable
Have no plural and are followed by a verb in the singular
Examples: hair, money, news, advice, weather etc.
3. SINGULAR NOUNS
Before singular nouns we use a/an or the:
A/an = any, doesn’t matter which one out of many or all;
The = this one only, specific or unique.
1. I want to get a cat.
2. Feed the cat, please.
4. PLURAL NOUNS
+ some: I have got some bananas.
- any: I haven’t got any bananas.
- any: Have you got any bananas?
5. UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS:
+ Some: I have got some juice.
- Any: I haven’t got any juice.
? Any: Have you got any juice?
6. Before nouns we use:
