3. INTRODUCTION OF SOFTWARE.
Software is a set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and
execute specific tasks. It is the opposite of hardware, which describes the physical
aspects of a computer. Software is a generic term used to refer to
applications, scripts and programs that run on a device.

4. TYPES OF SOFTWARE.
There are two types of software are given below:-
• System Software:- Controls the internal computer operations.
E.g.:- Microsoft window, Linux and MacOS.
• Application Software:- Carries out necessary operation for specified application to
function.
E.g.:- Google chrome, VLC media, Microsoft word, Photoshops etc.

6. SOFTWARE ENGINEERING.
Software engineering is the branch of computer science that deals with the design,
development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. Software engineers
apply engineering principles and knowledge of programming languages to build
software solutions for end users.

This software has its advantages and disadvantages but it can surely help with the
record storage system. Without system software we cannot run the computer and
without application system we cannot do the work on computer.
