1. Personal experience
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Oriental Philology from the University of International Relations
and World Languages named by Ablai Khan (Kazakhstan), and another one a degree in
accountancy from the Almaty University Consecutive Education (Kazakhstan). In 2003, when I
was an undergraduate student I established with partners medium sized Construction Company.
Initial capital allowed us to win various tenders in constructing high-rise buildings in Almaty city.
To obtain experience in the field of purchase and sale, I opened a small bakery which initially
consisted of 20 working staff and eventually supplied goods to more than 50 stores daily. In
addition, I operated a grocery mini-market, through which I have gained more an understanding of
the market process.
From 2005 to 2010 I had worked with financial institutions such as LLP “Alliance Finance”
and JSC “Delta Bank” in order to further my work experience. My main responsibilities were
related to lending to small and medium businesses, stocks and the development of credit products.
After the 2007 financial crisis, many companies started to lose their money and eventually the
majority of them were forced to cease their activities. This led me to concentrate on gaining an
increased understanding of finance and investment. So, in 2012 I took part in a national competition
which resulted in the award of a grant allowing me to study in the UK.
My personal interests include wrestling. Participating in this sport helped me to evolve
leadership and communication skills, making me more disciplined, well organized and stronger
psychology.
Currently I am doing MSc International Marketing Management program at the University of
Leeds Business School. This course has enhanced my marketability and gave me the relevant
professional skills and knowledge that employers in today’s marketplace are looking for.
