2. Television is great! Its highly entertaining, has educational values and opens worlds
for children. Viewers with positive role models have a better influence on children's
behavior. But the opposite can have an opposite effect. TV tends to affects kids
health, behavior and family life.
3. Parents let children as young as 8 to watch extreme
sex and violence films at home. Some kids are being
traumatized by shocking scenes and have nightmares.
Psychiaristrists are afraid that many may end up
emotionally brutalised because of it.

Half of children 8-11 now watch 18 certificate videos,
some left with deeply disturbed images.
5. Parents turn a blind eyes to what there kids watch,
even though their was a legislation to stop video shops
selling or hiring unsuitable films to children. This
happened after James bulger killers had been
influenced by violent videos. Angry MPs want to forces
children not to let such films get in to children's hands,
but often it’s the parents fault. They say films the buy
themselves are just left lying at home.

children have seen the sexual explicit film ‘Basic

tom and jerry have been criticized for letting violence
go unpunished, for failing to show it causes pain and
injury, for linking violence with heroic acts and for
encouraging children to think violence is funny.

equally berated for their violent content.
