2. Audience
• Russell Howards good news is on past 9pm so
he is allowed to swear and be rude as after 9
is the watershed time, this means older teens
and adult T.V comes on.
• When it turns 9pm and the watershed time
starts some shows may contain graphic
violence, horror, strong language, nudity,
sexual intercourse, gambling and drug use.
3. Misleading the audience
• Russell has to be careful about what he says
on television as if he tells a lie about
something or someone he could get into a lot
of trouble and he could be sued or his show
could be cancelled.
4. Relevant laws
• Copy right – Russell's team has to find out if
there are any copy right laws on any of the
things he want to talk about on his show. If so
he has to ask the news papers for permission.
Sometimes he will do a re-enactment of a
YouTube video so they will need to find out if
there are any copy right issues on that.
5. Relevant laws
• Libel law – Russell can not say anything racist that
isn't relevant to his show. He can not skit anyone on
rumours or lies either.
• Obscenity Law – when Russell shows VTs they can
not contain intense nudity. Minor nudity is fine as
aroused nudity is not allowed.
• Child protection law – As the show is on at the
watershed time then child protection isn't necessary
for the comedy as the children shouldn't be watching
the show anyway. If the was a child on the show in a
dangerous situation then child protection law would
come into place.
6. Relevant laws
• Cruelty to animals law – if Russell shows a VT
that contains animal cruelty people may think
he thinks its not a problem as he his willingly
showing it on television. Also the person that
was in the video abusing the animals may
have videoed it to be famous (in a bad way),
Russell would be helping his evil plans.
