2. I’ve decided to go for a psychological thriller
because I feel like they build suspense in such
a way that it draws you into the film more.
Psychological thrillers are much different to
the other sub-genres because they take you on a
crazy journey of the antagonist which keeps you
all up wanting to know more.
What sub-genre am I going to
use?
3. Target audience
I would like to aim this particular film at 16+
because I feel as if any one younger than 16
watches this film I don’t believe like they’ll
understand why this happens. I don’t think they
would fit in as its too much for 15 year old or
younger to be watching a psychological film
which will contain a lot of distress etc..
4. My Idea
It will start of with a POV of a man taking pictures of a girl
walking. As its an opening we don’t want to reveal who this man is
that’s taking pictures of this girl. We then cross cut to the girl
who is on the phone gossiping to her friend as per usual. We then
cross cut back to the man who is in the room taking pictures to then
seeing pictures of this girl all around the room with links to her
friends dates etc.. The unknow man then steps out of his house and
follows this girl without her realise that she's being followed. She
then turns off into a subway which is the perfect opportunity for
the man to brutally attack her. He then drags her body along the sub
way with trails of blood behind into a corner where he brings out
his bin bag to put her body in. Then we cut off to a black screen
and the tittle comes up. However, we still do not see who this man
is he’s a mystery. It also leaves the audience with questions to why
he was following her and killed her.
