2. Figure.1
• The editing workflow was quite productive throughout as we set times and dates to meet up
and work on things individually. We used many tools and techniques in the making of the film
and this assisted us greatly in making the actual teaser trailer. During this we turned the
individual scenes in other words raw footage into a finished motion picture. We divided the
work as editors and sat down together to splice all of the usable footage together into a
coherent storyline according to our script. As composers we added background music to
create dramatic and exhilarating effects. The special effects teams adds computer generated
images and backgrounds for example the institutions to support the film. We constantly had
to refer back to our genre and make sure that our film reflects on film genre. This does not
mean to say that we did not challenge the conventions of our genre, for example our lead
characters are two women, this clearly challenges the stereotype that men usually play the
lead or ‘hero’ in most action movies. Therefore through this we can convey that this is no
ordinary plot and that we are not afraid to break the rules and thus creating a new and fresh
type of film onto the market.
3. Figure.2
• The special effects that we used really effected the way in which the film came across, to be
honest we were reluctant too use them at first as we thought that it could easily make the
film look tacky although when we looked further into it and researched further we thought
that the after effects would fit nicely into the introduction of the institutions and also the
credits. Also using the quick cuts really allowed us to understand the essentiality of the effect
that it creates on our target audience- and that is the desired one.
4. Figure.3
• As the production went along we understood the importance of timing to come to a climax
and at that perfect moment to just insert the name of your film. We mastered this and it
looked very professional and allowed you to remember the name so any scene that you see
associated to that film you would immediately be able to relate it back to the films name
itself in this case ’Bloodline’.
