2. How does your product use or challenge the
conventions?
Camera Angles:
-I have used the convention
while making my movie.
-Many of the shots taken
are similar to those mostly
found in horror movies.
-The picture on the right
shows how I’ve tried to
make my shots similar using
the same camera angles
along with the costume and
location.
-Camera angles in both the
pictures are wide shots.

3. My Movie:
-The name of my movie is
“Black Bride”
-I’ve chosen this name
because there’s a ghost who’s
always wearing black bridal
dress.
-The Black Bride was a ghost
in the movie “Insidious” and
I’ve taken the idea from the
movie to create the horror
effect.

4. These are my inspirational movies and I’ve tried keeping some parts of
my movie similar to these.
5. Black Bride (Insidious)
Black Bride (My Movie)
-The makeup and hair
are the same in both
the pictures as you can
see to give the ghost
effect.
-The expressions were
serious to haunt the
audience.
6. How does your product engage the audiences and would
it be distributed as a real media text?
The distribution of my movie
would be done by the “Focus
Features” e
The Focus Features is the art
house film division of NBC
Universal and acts as both
producer and distributor for it’s
own films and a distributor for
foreign films.
It’s a high budget
distribution company, I
would like FOCUS FEATURES
to distribute my movie as
I’ve invested a lot in the
movie, also, because I want
the audience to see it
because it’s different horror
movie while comparing to
the others and would attract
larger audience.
7. The distribution of my
movie would be done by
the distribution company
as well as on social media
sites so that the movie
already goes viral before
it’s release and people
know more about it.
The audience targeted
would be the Mass
Market as it’s a different
horror movie so more
people would want to
watch it.
The teasers along with
the trailers would be
released on the social
sites before they’re
shown in cinemas.
8. How did your production skills developed
throughout this project?
Throughout the year I’ve
gained a lot. I’ve learnt new
terms which I’d never even
heard of.
How to edit videos on movie
maker and shoot the video in
different angles were the
majors.
Our sir told us about different
camera angles we never
knew about like wide shot,
point of view shot, dolly shot
and more.
9. I’m using Tumblr since two
years but this year there
was a new meaning
behind using it. I never
thought of using it by
creating and uploading my
own videos but always
reposting other’s videos
and pictures. We upload
our videos here as it’s
easy and fast. We can
submit our presentations
here rather than creating
them in hand written
folders and submitting
with the fear of them
being misplaced or any
other sort of damaged
caused.
Our Sir gave us enough
confidence that I started
making short vines and
upload them.
10. Lightning:
There are two types
of lightning, High-
key lightning and
low key lightning. I
now know which
lightning is suppose
to be used under
which video
according to the
scene.
Sound
Sound:
There are two types of
sounds used in the
movies. Digetic sounds
which are the natural
sounds heard by the
audience and characters
both and Non-Digetic
sounds which are the
sounds added to create
special affects and are
heard by the audience
only.

11. How did you integrate technologies (software,
hardware and online) in this project?
I wasn’t familiar
with many of
these but with
time and help of
my Sir I learnt
how to use them.
So, now for my
every project I’ve
used either of
the technologies
for research and
movie making.
