2. Age
The target audience for my opening scene will be teenagers aged 15-19. The rating will be
15. Our production company ideology is that the youth of today have a voice of today
and are a way of portraying talent of today through acting. They also believe comedy is
possible for anyone to enjoy there for we have included a character which is portrayed as
the “clown”. As teenagers ourselves we knew a variety of 15 year olds who watch the
British TV drama “Eastenders” which ends in a cliff hanger in most episodes, we took
that idea and showed it in our opening scene by the twist of the “bank” being a “police
station” via previous audiences previews of the opening scene most of them were
curious upon what happens next in the film.
3. Gender
In my production males are represented in a modern way whereas the females
whom featured in my production were presented more dominant than the men. Our
main female character “the manager” seemed fearless when it came to confront the
robbers as she was confused upon why somebody would rob a police station. The
audience are introduced to the female character by the main male character
“Trevor” when he says “call your manager” the audience right away knows who is
the manager as she appears a couple of seconds after. The fact that he steps back
she is more dominant. Also on of the hostages are held in a headlock to be more
submissive.
4. Sexuality
My production never wanted to include romance because our genre
was action comedy which does not stereotypically involve romance.
This could be seen through masculine and woman role such as the
woman wearing a suit.
5. Class
My production did not decide upon a class to target at due to the fact
the whole controversial idea of robbing a bank could suggest that the
robbers are poor and wanting money, lower class. However the
manager could be classed as a upper middle class due to the fact she
is working for the government.
