7. Indigestion
May be due to improper food or
inadequate sleep . Loss of appetite
is the main symptom.
Remedy: Ajamodarkam 20 ml AM &
PM for adults 5-10 ml for children
before food twice daily gives
results in 2-3 days. Known as vom
water
Home remedy: Add lime juice to
Saindhav lavanam & jeera take
30 min before food twice daily for
3-5 days
8. Common Cold
Everybody suffer with common cold at one time
or other, if neglected causes cough, phlegm,
fever etc.
Remedy: For cough with phlegm Talisadi
Churnam ยผ spoon with honey twice a day for 3-
5 days gives good result. For dry cough
Sitophaladi Churnam with honey twice daily for
1 week is best.
For Children: Kasturi pills with honey, for fever
Gorochanam pills with honey once daily for 3-4
days. For allergic colds Yastimadhu churnam
with honey is good for 3-4 days.
Home Remedy: Chewing Karakkaya (Terminalia
Chebula) gives good relief in cold & cough
9. Fever
Fever due to any reason
without other complications
Mrutyunjaya Rasam Tabs cold
with fever Sitamsurasam tabs
twice daily, Anandabhairavi
tabs for fever with loose
motions for 3-4 days gives
good results. Taking light hot
food & proper sleep helps.
10. Headache
There are many causes for head aches
over / under work, stress, eye
problems, prolonged cold, high
sounds, constipation, improper sleep
habits, High BP etc. One sided
headache is called Migraine.
Remedy: Suryavarthi Rasam tabs twice
daily for 10- 40 days depending upon
chronicity.
For children: Sitophaladi Churnam with
honey once daily for 7-21 days is best.
11. Loose Motions
Mostly due to stored, contaminated
water/ food. Motions leads to loss
of fluids results in life threatening
dehydration especially in children.
This has to be avoided always.
Remedy: Kutajarista/ Karpoora
Rasam, Jatiphaladi Churnam twice
daily for 2-3 days gives very good
results. Dosage according to the
age 2.5 to 10 g. Give plenty of fluids
and semi liquid diet for 3-5 days.
12. Dysentery
Motion with blood/ mucous is dysentery due
to bacteria in abdomen/ intestines. Usually
motion is followed by stomach ache.
Remedy: Anandabhairavi 1-2 tabs twice daily
for 3-5 days gives good results. Motions with
stomach ache Lasunadivati tabs are good . If
the problem is chronic & repeated Bilvaadi
Lehyam for 3-6 months twice daily is good.
Curd rice, butter milk, moong dal, cooked
vegetables soup is good.
Home Remedy: For children depending upon
age take mustard seeds roast, powder give
with honey Give plenty of fluids during
motions.
13. Vomitings
Indigestion, contaminated food/
water, lack of sleep, head injury
causes vomitings. It leads to
dehydration due to fluid loss.
Remedy: For vomitings Laghu
Suryavarthi Rasam, Ajamodarkam,
Paityantakam 2 tabs twice daily for
3-5 days are good. For nausea
Saribadi Panakam, Matulunga
Rasayanam are good for 3-7 days.
Home Remedy: Roasted Jeera,
Saindhava Lavanam with honey 3-4
times a day is very good. Results are
immediate.
14. Stomach ache
Only stomach ache without other problems
is mostly due to indigestion. Pain may be
continuous or intermittent.
Remedy: For intermittent pain Hingvastaka
Churnam with cow ghee twice daily for 2-5
days. For continuous pain Sankhavati 2
tabs twice daily or Bhaskara Lavanam
twice daily is good. For pain due to
constipation Trivrit Lehyam 1 spoon with
honey twice daily give good results in 3-5
days. For children apply castor oil on
beetle leaf warm it & apply on stomach.
15. Heart Burn
Stored, spicy/ oily food,
excess alcohol causes
Regujitation & heart burn.
Remedy: Avipattikara Churnam
1 spoon with a glass of water
30 min before food twice daily
gives good results in 1 week.
Home Remedy: Avoid all sour,
junk foods, alcohol. Consume
Sonthi powder 5 gm 2 times a
day before food for 21 days
16. Constipation
Is the KING & root cause of many diseases. Taking
food hurriedly, spicy / irregular food timings,
fried, stored, bakery foods, certain drugs,
improper life style, occupational hazards are the
main causes.
Remedy: By changing life style & proper food
habits helps a lot. Consume 3-4 lit of water & fibre
foods are excellent. Swadhistana, Avipattikara
Churna or Trivrit Lehyam 1 spoon before going to
bed with 1 glass warm water for 40 days is good.
Home Remedy: consuming 2 glasses warm water
before going to bed and 1 lt early morning before
coffee helps a lot. Bottle gourd curry daily is very

May be for lifting heavy objects,
improper walking, Slipping, Sports
are responsible.
Remedy: If there are no fractures
apply Pinda/ Narayana Tailam and
massage lightly. Take Lakhsadi/
Kanchanari Guggulu 2 tabs twice
daily after food for 1-2 weeks.
Home remedy: Consume More
Wheat & Jawar foods. Warm Oil
massage Bed rest for 1-2 days
18. Fatigue
Due to ageing process. Malnutrition,
crushing work schedules. Washed out
feeling, gasping for breath even after
small exertion are some of the
symptoms.
Remedy: Aswagandha/ Satavari Lehyam
daily morning 1 spoon with 1 glass of cow
milk is very helpful. Navayasa 2 Tabs
twice daily for 60 days gives very good
results. Taking proper rest helps. Sleep
for 6-7 hrs daily.
For children: Aravindasavam 2.5 to 5 ml
daily morning depending on the age for
3-4 months is very good.
19. Drakshaadi Lehyam for better
digestion, and helps in body
metabolism Manduka Parni
Improves memory and gives
energy. Helps in fatigue
Home Remedy: Well ripen
banana is very good energy
source, stress buster. For
children add jagery in one cup
of fresh curd and give daily in
the evening. Cow ghee is also
rich source of energy.
20. Anaemia
Deficiency of haemoglobin in the blood
is anaemia. Anorexia & breathlessness
on walking. Common in women &
children. It is also called as Pandu Roga.
Remedy: Satavari Churna, Loha Bhasma
mixed in 2:1 ratio and taken twice daily
with honey or cow ghee for 3-4 months.
Dhatri Loha/ Navayasa 2 tabs twice
daily for 3-4 months has to be taken.
Home Remedy: Papaya, Anjeer Khajoor,
Kishmiss, Raagi, jaggery, palli, Beet
root wheat grass are good.
21. Anorexia
Lack of appetite is anorexia, Ayurveda says
Agnimandya. Disinterest in food is common.
Remedy: For Agnimandya Pippalyasava 20 ml
twice daily 30 min before food for 60 days is very
good. For children 5 ml twice daily for 3-4 weeks.
Agnitundivati 2 tabs twice daily for for 20 days
under medical supervision gives excellent
results. For children ยฝ tab with honey for 10 days
is very good. For acute cases additionally
Chitrakadivati 2 tabs twice daily for 15 days is
recommended.
Home Remedy: Ginger, Dalchini, Green Tea without
sugar & milk 2 times a day for 40 days gives good
results
