The document discusses potential filming locations for a school-based soap opera called "Soap". It identifies 4 key locations: a classroom at St. Andrews Catholic School, which will be used frequently; Park Rise Road to establish the setting; a dark alleyway near the school for dramatic scenes; and the school toilets to make the soap more realistic. It also mentions Ashtead woods as a potential location for intense dramatic scenes due to its eerie atmosphere. For each location, it identifies potential hazards and how they will be resolved, such as filming the busy road and alleyway at less busy times and wearing sensible footwear in locations like the school toilets and woods to avoid slips and falls.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

St. Andrew’s Catholic School
Unit G324: Advanced Portfolio in Media
Locations
We will film the main majority of Soap at St Andrews Catholic
School
Classroom,St.Andrew’s School
As our soap is set within a school, a classroom is a key location to reinforce
the soapsschool theme. This setting will be a frequently used location and
could be included in many scenes. As wewill be filmingwithin a school, we
already have access to a fully equipped classroom withall the necessary
props. Wewill usea LongShot (LS) when filimg the classrooms so the
audiencecan take in the fullsurroundings.

• ParkRise Road, leatherhead
Wehave named our soap after our school which is this road so this could be
used in the establishing shot, which will be a close up shot (CU). This highlights
to the audiencewhere about the soap is located and gives a insight to the
environmentof the setting.
• School alley way, Grange Road
The alley way will be where the most dramaticscene such as the girl being
chased will take place. This is because it is dark and dirty down there, which
gives the impression it is very isolated from the school. This would be used by
studentshiding outof teachers sights. We will usea here becauase it will
show the alleyway and those chasing the girl, as it is importantto get the
whole of the surroundingsin.
• School toilets,St.Andrew’s school
A lot of girls gather in the school toilets daily. By including
this location would makeour soap more realistic and
relatable for real life studentswatching the soap.
3. 3
Ashtead woods
The woodscan be an very eerie place and can be very scary. This could make
an intensedramatic scene. Wewill use a range of shots here suchas Long
Shot (LS) so the audiencecan see the location clearly. By usingclose up shot
(CU) we will be able to show the expression on the characters faces, such as if
they look scared. Wewill also explore usinga tracking shot to show running
through the woods.
Potential Hazards/Risks
Location specific -
Why?
How will this be resolved?
• Park Rise road- This is a busy residential road with a
lot of park cars and moving cars. We will have to
watch out for these and be careful when crossing the
road. We will film in day light which will reduce the
risk of not being seen.
• School alley way- This can become very busy with
young children and mothers in the morning and at
3pm. When filming we will work around these times
incase our camera get knocked over and to prevent
other people getting in our shot.
• School toilets- The floor can become very wet
around the sinks so we will have to be careful to avoid
puddles so we don’t slip. We could also wear sensible
footwear such as trainers to ensure we don’t fall on
the wet patches.
• Woods- Woodland areas have a lot of fallen branches
and tree stumps which you could trip and fall on. This
could damage filming equipment or you could hurt
yourself. To stop this from happening we will have to
watch where we are stepping and wear appropriate
footwear.
