2. Evidence of the shoot occurring
Fellow student Zoe helped capture the shoot in action, documenting what happened.
3. Recce
This is where the main bulk of my
photos will take place. They will be
used for the digipak cover and for the
poster. I chose this location partially
for its convenience but mainly
because I wanted a natural
background for my artist with a sense
of fun that could easily be created.
There may be a risk associated with
shooting on mud, due to the possibility of
the model slipping, however we took
caution when shooting not to use sudden
movements that could cause us to slip and
fall. In case of this we have agreed that the
model can wear any shoes that she deems
suitable. This will be okay because very few
of my photos require any body parts from
the waist down.
This photo is for use mainly on my
poster, providing a background that
suggests pop culture. None of these
photos will require my model,
therefore meaning they can be taken
at leisure. The photos will be
extremely easy to take as this is the
view from my window at home. The
only issue I found with taking these
photos was the timing to get the
perfect lighting.
4. Hazards identified What may happen? What’s being done? Action by who?
Slips The area being used is
outside, so there may be
mud which could cause slips.
Suitable footwear should be
worn for the weather
Myself and the model
Cold weather/rain Rain could cause the ground
to become slippery and cold
weather could cause
participants to become ill.
Participants should dress
appropriately for cold
weather.
If it’s raining the shoot will be
taken inside, or else
rescheduled.
Myself and the model
Injury inside. Partcicpants may fall inside
and seriously injure
themselves.
Teachers are aware of the
location being used. School
nurse or a teacher should be
notified of any accidents.

10. Throughout the shoot we were constantly aware
of the weather, any chills and we would have
been suitably prepared with extra clothing readily
available. We also made sure throughout we were
aware of our surroundings and the quality of the
ground we were stood on. This meant that we
were able to take enough care not to slip at any
point throughout the shoot.
In line with my plans I still managed to
incorporate the woodland effect in the photos,
although there was a distinct lack of a stream
throughout. This has changed the tone of my
album, however, it may give more of a country
vibe, working better for my artist.
