The document outlines locations that will be used in a movie trailer about a missing person at a school. 2. OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL
BUILDING
• The shot of the school building is being used in our trailer at the very beginning
to set the scene of the school where our film trailer is based. The shot will also
pan from left to right so that the shot is interesting instead of being still and
boring but it will also reveal more of the school. Furthermore, in the shot there
will be lots of students walking to their next lesson because this shows that a
school is a busy location but it will also help the audience to realise the location
because all of the children will be in school uniform.
• The lighting in this location will be light, natural lighting because it will be during
the day when the weather is nice, which also fits with what's going on in the
trailer because this is the part of the trailer when it has a happy atmosphere,
before Aiden goes missing.

3. 6TH FORM COMMON ROOM
• The 6th form common room is another location that we will use that is inside the school
grounds that we will use in our movie trailer. We chose to use this location because our
trailer is based around people of an age where they would spend a lot of their school time in
this room because it is a communal area where they might do some work or relax with their
friends.
• There will be multiple camera shots in the location which focus on the teacher in our trailer
explaining the rules to the game of hide and seek. There will be a long shot when we first
see this location so that people can get to grips with where the location is and what it looks
like. The shot will show the teacher standing in front of the students explaining the rules.
Another one of the key shots in this location is a close up of the teacher, which will be at the
end of the sequence of shots in this location.
• The lighting in this location is quite bright, but natural lighting because this area is a place
that should have a positive, happy vibe. I want this to be the atmosphere because when this
location is used in our trailer, the atmosphere is still a good one because the missing person
hasn't gone missing yet. Furthermore, the large windows in the 6th form common room will
allow us to have lots of natural lighting in the location.

4. THE SCHOOL CORRIDOR
• The corridor in school will be used in our trailer when Tori and Lily are walking
down it, whilst talking about their missing friend. We chose to use a corridor as
the place for this scene because it is a place where students talk to each other a
lot in between lessons or just when they're walking through the school.
Additionally, the corridor we have chosen to use has all of the characteristics of
a typical school corridor because you can see all the doors to the classrooms,
as well as lots of pictures on the walls of student achievements.
• The shots in this location will all be based around the two characters conversing
and at one point arguing. The first shot will be a long shot, two shot from behind
the two girls so that we can clearly see that they are walking down a school
corridor. Another shot will be an over the shoulder shot of Tori, who will be
pinning Lily up against a wall.
• The lighting in this location will be dim lighting that will mainly be coming from
the lights on the ceiling, which will make the location look very natural because it
is what it would look like on a normal day.
